Axl&SlashRhot
I'd say Jimi Hendrix... I know he's not up there but I really do think he's the best guirtarist though
quadlaser
why is santana up there? i'd say joe perry, but EVH is right up there too. you should've hooked up vai, bumblefoot, and petrucci up there too.then i'd say vai, followed by bumblefoot. Lithium
Jimmy Page! First time I really discovered Jimmy was when my brother showed me The Song Remains The Same-DVD; when he played White Summer, he's an musical-genius, no arguments. DTGNRVR
I think the best musically was Jimi Hendrix by a long way... Best technically is probably Van Halen or Petrucci, and best feel is Hendrix again or Slash

Spoon87
Slash's work most impresses me, it just does it for me, so Slash's my vote.Second would be Brian May. Third Dave Gilmour.

Kickingthehabit
Since Hendrix and Vaughn are missing (..why?)I'll go with Jimmy Page. Here's a history lesson..Van Halen's technique was inspired by Page's performance of Heartbreaker in 1971, when he did rapid pull off's on open strings.-Kickingthehabit
