FunkyMonk
What about KISS? They have been quite popular through their career, drooped a bit in some albums...but they never fail to sellout a tour.

Greenday is so fucking wannabe-rock! Everytime I hear 'ooh it's good to have a decent punk-band like Greenday around again', I wanna punch the fuckers who say it in the eye! If all you fuckers who say that Greenday is real punk, go take a look in the clubs where all the undiscovered bands who should have been famous plays, in stead of thoose wannabe-rock fuckers! There you have some REAL music!Sorry, I just had to get that out

santana
What about bands like the Spice Girls or Backstreet Boys? They were bigger than a lot of the bands mentioned in this thread. Remember, "biggest band" refers to album and concert ticket sales, fanbase, merchandise, radio and video play, ect. Dire Straits, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy... I've seen those bands pop up on this thread more than a few times. Yeah, they were good bands, but nowhere near the top-20 biggest of all-time. After thinking previously that dire straits had a hugly large selling album (as in a top 10), research tells me "FO". Good point. All I can hope to do now is get a job working for the circus.
