I think Tom Scholz had something to do with the invention of the Polariod camera(some kind of genius, he went to MIT). He used that money to create a definitive guitar sound. Brad Delp is a great singer too. I had the pleasure of seeing Boston in 1986. Great show. Their stage attire was pretty weak, but the music was great. Songs like Hitch a Ride and Peace of Mind are awesome. The instrumental starting (Foreplay) to Long time is plain amazing. One of my favourite bands.
