madison Posted May 31, 2006 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Please, do NOT share any presale info with others! If you do this, you will prevent the diehard fans from being able to purchase tickets. This is the problem we faced during the presales for the NYC Hammerstein shows. Prior to the first presale, fans were sharing the link and password with others, and the info wound up getting leaked all over the Net. As a result, on the day of the presale, the scalpers wound up with most of the tickets - and very few fans were able to get any. Prior to the second presale, fans learned not to share the info. As a result, the fans had open access to the tickets and every fan who wanted a tic was able to get one, which was cool. I realize people want to help others, but you're hurting the diehard fans if you share the info - especially with new members and members who have not posted much on the forum. It's unfortunate that some people join the forum for the sole purpose of getting this info so that they can scalp tickets. But this is the reality, and the only way to prevent them from getting this info is not to share it with them. If we hear that a member is continuing to share this info., the member will be banned.
