I got it today, of course it contains only old songs but with alternate takes, mixes, and a bunch of new medleys and mash ups. It's definetly worth a listen and probably the best album of 2006. you hear a complete new side of each song. highlights are the Within you with out you mash up with tomorrow never knows. the Come Together/Dear Prudence Cry Baby Cry medley and the new version of Stawberry Fields Forever.Go and buy it!!! Estranged Reality
It's a piece of brilliance! Love it. I was never a huge fan of the Beatles, either, but this album takes their greatest songs and makes them sound newer - and better - than before. Zint
well it was George Martin that layed his hands on their work so I think it's ok.George Martin...but his son was more involved in creating the mashups and over all production. And they had full permission to use the actual MASTERTAPES as their source to do this project....a rare honour indeed! kool_aid_acid_test
It is really good. I thought it was just going to be another Beatles record, like when albums say 'digitally enhanced' and stuff but it's really good. It kind of freaks me out when I listen to it, cause I expect things to happen in the song and they don't and then other things do happen though. It would be great to listen to this when you were high.
