Excellent. That may sew seeds of dissent.

I have so much respect for the Ukrainians I feel compelled to learn more about their country and culture.

Just don't read and learn from Soviet and Russian sources.

Obvious military target as usual... "He sent troops to ensure peace and order to people and to ensure sadety for Russia "

How is there anyone buying this shit? And there are many unfortunately...

I'm not sure what you mean. Because you saw one video you think this is how it is in the entire country?
I read that the Ukrainian army is (so far) putting up a better fight than what Russia probably expected.

Don't know what to think. Video and situation is just strange. Had war in my cointry and never saw cars and tanks driving side by side casualy...

  4. After I saw video of Russian tank running over civilian car in the street of Kyiv suburb, I find everything odd.

One sole tank is running through streets, basically it is sitting duck for stopping and destroying it but no response, and civilian cars are driving around. Wtf?

No physical obstacles against armored vehicles.  Does Ukraine even have army or what?

Apparently Italy and also USA vetoed ejecting Russia from SWIFT, what the fuck?

It is the thing West does - only think on itself. EU proved to be just a bunch of bureaucratic arseholes during pandemic response. They repeat this during every crisis. Everyone looks only their selfish agendas and don't really care for people in trouble. In the end - only message sent is "Oh you bad boy Putin, you will see when we agree..."

  6. Noone with common sense claims tha Russia is bad. Its leadership with Putin on top is showing this kinfmd of behaveour for a long time. Invasion of Georgia (not U.S. state) just in moment when it was near entering NATO,  killings of opposition leaders accross the Russia and Europe and invasion of Ukraine in 2014 passed unpunished. So he is stepping forward with bigger steps every time.

And what Western world dont understand - economic sanctions won't affect Putin but the same people that protest against war in this moment in Putins hometown (and are taken to prison by police). Dictators don"t care for its people. He cannot be overthrown in elections.

It's not up to Ukraine. They would like to join, but they don't meet NATO's qualifications.

Also, public desire for NATO membership in Ukraine is a recent phenomenon. In 2012, only 28% of Ukrainians supported NATO Membership. Since then, public support has risen (now a majority)

Yep,because - again, history and Russian actions...

Saw a video few minutes ago, there are lot of dead. No way todays bodycount is 50-60 as reported. And "funfact" - Russians bombed town closer to me than to Russian border today....

The West should have conceded to Putin's demand that NATO declares it will never allow Ukraine entry.

    1) It was clear Putin would 100% invade if NATO didn't do this.

    2) Ukraine was likely never going to get to join NATO unless they broke their own rules. Their rules do not allow nations with territory under dispute into NATO. Ukraine also doesn't meet its standards for democracy, wealth, or military capabilities.

NATO was better off giving in to this demand and at least lowering the chance of a full scale bloody invasion. Why not just tell Putin "yeah sure, Ukraine will never enter NATO" when the consequences of not doing so were well known? The West is grasping onto a world order and set of rules that don't exist anymore.

You don't think Ukraine should decide for themselves?

They already fled from Russia once. With NATO membership they wanted to secure themselves from Russia because, you know, history lessons...

Ultimately, if this escalates to the point of reaching WW3, just let them have Ukraine. It's tragic and unfair but if the choice is Ukraine being absorbed into Russia or even a Ukrainian genocide - then that's preferable to what WW3 would entail. Same for Taiwan, just let China have it.

Great thinking... Same as during late summer of 1939 when they said ket them have Poland if our butts are safe...

You really think he'll stop if he gets Ukraine?

He sounds like shit and his age is no excuse. He earns a damn well good buck to perform. Put on a good show, do your part. Or, if you are not able to, retire. Just be a dedicated and honest professional. Simples as that.

While I do agree - who cares about age - he is part of the band that charges 100s of $ for their concert.

Also "Are you a singer" or "How would you perform it.." arguments don't stand - as said - we don't charge 100s of $, and other - we have ears...

As I don't agree - we are not obliged to pay those 100s of $ if we don't like what we hear...

Me personally - hard to spend big money for GNR show these days, will save that for artist I appreciate live, but I'll buy an album with new music...

Live it might be dodgy but I’d still much rather have top notch 99 vocals on the studio version as opposed to anything more recent.

Basically I’d take excellent 99 vocals on studio and ok live ones versus ok new vocals on studio and live. 🤣

Well, considering fact that I'll see them live once or never again, I agree with you. I'll take excellent studio and lousy live against meh live and meh studio also... you may call me selfish, but don't really care 😂
