Steve says “We chose to record at Guillaume Tell Studio in France again as the place has such a relaxed vibe. The setup there is perfect for our needs; the building used to be a cinema and has a really high ceiling so there’s a great acoustic sound. We recorded this album in the same way we did The Book Of Souls in that we’d write a song, rehearse it and then put it down together straight away while it was all fresh in our minds. There’s some very complex songs on this album which took a lot of hard work to get them exactly as we wanted them to sound, so the process was at times very challenging, but Kevin is great at capturing the essence of the band and I think it was worth the effort! I’m very proud of the result and can’t wait for fans to hear it.”

Bruce continues, “We’re all really excited about this album. We recorded it back in early 2019 during a break in the Legacy tour so we could maximize our touring yet still have a long set up period before release to prepare great album art and something special as a video. Of course the pandemic delayed things more - so much for the best laid plans – or should that be ‘strategies’!?  The songs are very varied, and some of them are quite long. There’s also one or two songs which sound pretty different to our usual style, and I think Maiden fans will be surprised - in a good way, I hope!“

I heard a football analyst say yesterday that England played their best game of the tournament and Italy one of their worst, yet the difference was still small. England should have really taken advantage of Italy not playing their best game yesterday.

England after goal in 2nf minute only defended, and only 1 team playes. OK, Sterling dived here and there but this time referee didn't fall for it...

English fans showed real class again :D

    (1) 'It's coming to Rome' 🤣 - Leonardo Bonucci is EVERY Italian fan right now - YouTube

  3. He dived, no matter if butterfly passed by him or even touched his shoulder - never a penalty... and about VAR, I won't say nothing...

Also that Kane diva, he took a knee every time Danish player approached him...

It is amusing how English pundits and fans always are 1st to judge other player cheqt, but are blind when their do...

Hope Italy wins at all cost....

I was gutted when you put us out, but I was definitely cheering on Croatia tonight.

Sad to see Barišić get so little game time over the course of the tournament. If he's injured then I hope it's not too serious. He's currently my favourite player at Rangers - if you can get him to contribute to the national team what he offers us in domestic and European competition, you'll have an absolute superstar on your hands, he provides so many quality crosses, (many of which become assists) and great free kicks (many of which become goals).

Apparently some kind of injury, but I don't trust anything our Clown of coach says...

Well, they did win the world cup once!

Sure, we reached more finals than them, but at least they won one.

yes but in 1966... But yes, I started following football in 1990, with that Dutch Ac Milan... Marco Van Basten is still my favorite player ever. That generation should have win more...

It wasn't just that, all the players that could have made a difference seemed to have an off day. I don't know why that is... coincidence? Maybe the temperature change? During the previous three matches it was around 20 degrees, now in Budapest it was 30 degrees and that didn't help either. But that's their own fault too... they should have gone there earlier to become acclimated.

This generation is still not as good as the previous ones, so I don't see them reaching another final any time soon to be honest.

We did win the Euros in 1988, but that's the only time and pretty disappointing considering the great generations the Dutch have had in the last 50 years.

Look on the bright side: still better than England :D

If clubs afford players salaries that aren't sustainable, then they deserve to go financially broke. The solution is simple, don't pay players too much. If that means you can't buy the Haalands and Mbappes and so on, then be it. Most clubs already operate with a limited budget and can't buy these players anyway. Now the big giants like Barca and RM will just have to make this lesson, too.

This... Whay Messi must stay in Barcelona? Why would RM be entitled on Galactios. If they can afford it - no problems...

And without Barcelona/RM pumping salaries and transfer fees - other clubs would spend much less because of chain reaction...

Barcelona spent 500Mil € for Messi, bought Coutinho, Dembele, A.Turan and Griezmann for another 500 Mil - fuck them - eliminate them and let them do Fiorentina or Glasgow Rangers scenario... Then they would learn - this way - never.

When economic crisis started in Europe - Spaniards were angry when some German polititian (maybe even A.Merkel) said: Why would we finance Spains depts when they put money in football clubs...

I didn't know Laporta made a deal during the election process. In fact I was surprised when I read he joined Perez in this bullshit League. Thanks, now I know why  Still Perez was the one who brought this idea. Barcelona is in very bad shape because the previous President gave Messi an obscene huge contract in order to keep Messi in the team. They are penniless now.

I knew about this system of fans share. But I don't know how it works. Nor I know how fans are in a position to buy stoke

They dont buy, they pay annual membership in non-profit organisation that own major share. The rest of it is owned by corporations/sponsors (in Bayern 75% by members/fans, the rest by addidas, audi, allianz)..

    There are exceptions:

Bayer 04 Levercusen - owned by pharmaceuticals company Bayer, Wfl Wolfsburg - owned by VW and Hoffenheim - owned by Dietmar Hopp.

There are many things wrong with status quo. But this is not the way to fix it. That guy Perez who is Real Madrid president fucked it huge before. When the last World Cup was about to start, he stole the Spain Team Manager and brought him to HIS Real Madrid. Needless to say that Spain National Tean left earlier from the World Cup because they lost their Manager. On top of  that it didn't go well for  Real Madrid either.

Perez is motherfucker piece of shit. I can't believe that other teams joined him in this moronic and ridiculous idea of this fuckin Super League!

I do believe that many things can and must be changed for the better when it comes to football and profit. And I hope this is a wake up call. But it won't be greedy and corrupted teams Presidents/CEOs the right people to be in charged of change.

Perez is piece of shit, yes, but that Laporta guy - he made a deal with him during election process in Barcelona (but didn't mention it)... Liverpool, Arsenal and MUTD owners are Amercians without any knowledge of football (said by themselves), Agnelli is Perez wannabe, and Milan/Inter owners are shady corporations(US/China) also not football connected.

The rest followed in fear not to miss the (money) tran.

Greed and trophy hunt by all (fans included) helped them to buy all these clubs...

Maybe, current ownes will sell, but similar will buy.

German model ("Regel 50+1" law that ensures that minimum of 50% + 1 share is in fans posession)is the only thing that can prevent it but not likely to spread accross Europe.

I read that too. Not too sure whether FIFA can legally do this? I guess when they try to ban players from international football they will go to court

Well, I think they can - both FIFA and UEFA are "private" organisations - Their house, their rules - if you don't agree don't come in.

    I hope they'll stand still.

German clubs turned down (both BvB and Bayern). DirtyDozen then contacted RB Leipzig, but even they don't want to participate...

Yes, terrible idea. A league of 20 teams where 15 teams can't get knocked out? Who the fuck are these 15 teams to think they are the best for eternity? Tottenham and not PSG? Arsenal and not Bayern Munich? To insulate themselves from competition from "lesser teams"? What hubris! Just a few teams playing against each other all the time - how boring. Fuck this idea. Fuck the Glazers.

Yep, they are loosing money these years - with Leicesters, Atalantas "stealing" their spot.

Now they want to get rid of them...

And Spaniards - they are broke, so this is the last chance for them keeping the "top of the world" position...

As LFC, let them walk alone, fuck them...

So I'd have expected this thread to be lit up atm.

European Super League looks it's finally happening. Announcement soon.

    UEFA going nuclear atm.

They just killed football... whatever happens next, will not be the same.

I will never watch single game from that league... hope the rest of the world will kick them out...
