that's.....kind of ignorant and short sighted given what we seem to know about the gestation period.

This seems like the most over blown, media driven hysteria of our lifetime. The mortality rate is the same as the standard flue. CNN etc keep pushing the narrative but the facts don’t support their ridiculous fear mongering. I never bought the “mass media is biased” narrative until now. CNN’s treatment of the coronavirus is borderline scandalous. Updating every day with a blaring headline about a disease that is completely harmless to healthy people under 70 simply because fear leads to clicks is outrageous.
high risk people hear you when you say things like that. The more low risk people that get sick the more high risk people are going to die. Grow up.

Justin Bieber just downsized a bunch of stadium shows down to arenas. Not sure if that has to do with the virus or weak ticket sales or both, tho.
sounds like they are blaming soft sales on the virus, which

Honestly, don’t see this fazing them at all. At worst they’ll just become a punchline as a modern-day KISS endlessly touring the classics (though even KISS has 2 studio albums out since Chinese). Not the best rep- but you can weather it and still do good/great business...
KISS went to every single town imaginable on their 96/97 reunion tour and then acted shocked when no one cared when they went on tour the very next year, so fair comparison. They should have disappeared and released Psycho Circus in 1999/2000.

Thats interesting to hear your perspective. Because for me, I always thought there were some parallels between the two bands. Like maniac singers who sing about their gripes with society and who've spoken about traumatic childhoods. Musical mostly though - theres usually substantial guitar intros in both bands, lots of guitar solos and the solos are usually over a unique piece of music within the songs. Dual guitar sound. Both bands have hits that are acoustic and hits that are really heavy. Lots of their music is heavily produced. Double albums (if one allows the UYIs to be a double album) at peak of careers. Both bands broken up due to drugs and egos and then reunited. Both Billy and Axl tried really hard to go goth/industrial at one point. And both bands are interracial and have/had blonde chicks as members.
I guess SP is a little more psychedelic and Guns is more at the bluesy end of things though. But I get the pairing, personally.
If you listen to their pre-Gish stuff they were much more of a goth band, they were clearly almost trying to sound like earlier Cure. Billy has stated that Jimmy's drumming is what pushed them to be a heavier band, which isn't surprising the one 90's album they did without him went back to more of a Goth sound.

KISS tickets are on groupon. They'll figure something out.
-
it'll be a new show like KISS does a "new show"- they moved the stage dressing around but still do the same old stuff.
-
I had just told my mom I wasn't going to go and then they announce that. The Pumpkins might get me there. I saw them two summers ago on the first tour back with James and they were great.

new show= reworked stage set and one or two different songs

if they were coming to Montreal I'd think about it, not traveling again.

Looks like they know what they're doing, or they're very dumb to book stadiums around US.
my question is why would Live Nation sign off?

they spend most of the song huddled around each other, they clearly hadn't rehearsed it much

Also completely skipped some of the lines.
I wonder if that was intentional or not, we know he has a teleprompter on stage. I can't really think of a reason he'd not want to sing those lines though..
