  1. Took the liberty of Googling the definition of the word "joke" to assist some of you in understanding this video better:

    joke

  2. I didn't mind this guy when he first joined the band, but this 'funny baffoon'-act is getting out of hand. It's just not funny anymore, it's just sad.

Yeah I totally hear ya. I mean SERIOUSLY. How sad. Having a sense of humor is just so sad. I bet the dude is the cause of most things evil in the world today. I mean really! The nerve! A sense of humor?? So sad. Dude should just hang up the guitar forever now. He should also stop trying to do everything within his realm of possibility to make GNR fans happy. First the several stage collapses around the world kill people, then that odd earthquake in Virginia, then hurricane Irene, now Ron trying to joke and enjoy life.

The end of times are here.

Whoops, sorry. My bad. Just got carried away trying to stay in the vein of the rest of the thread.

  3. I am there if they are within 250 miles of me!!!!!!

But it would be suicide for the band without a new album coming out in the very near future.

GNR may be big in south america and europe but in the US they are a tuff sell.

They need some hype to get this thing going and have good ticket sales, but CD US tour # 3 ain't it.

It makes no real difference to me if there is new album or not, I am going anyway!!!!!

I really want them to have a US tour that is goes over good. 02 was a train wreck, 06 was somewhat better but still not up to snuff as far as ticket sales in the weaker market.

They could only hit the biggest cities in order to make it look like they are selling out a bunch of shows and skip the ifey markets which would mean I get no show close enough but would understand if that is what they do.

That's about my radius too. Anywhere within about 250 miles and I'm on it like stink on a monkey.

  4. Well I guess this really is happening, the only question is where all they will go. Will it just be the places that sell? Or will it be more spread out so fans from everywhere can see them? As I have said one before I live in Kentucky, so I doubt I will get to see them. I'd really love to be surprised and actually get to see them live though. :tongue2:

    Where in Kentucky are you?

I don't know a ton about Kentucky but I've driven through it a lot to get to and from Florida and to Memphis a couple of times. Is there any chance going up to Cinicinatti or down to maybe Memphis or Nashville would be possible for you if they play any of those places?

Dead center pretty much, and while yes they may play shows near the places you mentioned, but the problem is that I'm only 14 and my parents aren't exactly willing to go out of their way for a concert and they're not night people either, so I really don't have much of a chance to go to a show unless its somewhere near Lexington or so. Also just curious, but why would you have to drive through Kentucky to get to Memphis from Florida?

Ah. I gotcha. After I posted that, I thought "Well, if he's dead in the middle, that won't work either" lol. And I kinda typed that wrong about the drive to Memphis. What I meant was that I've driven through Kentucky to get from Detroit to Florida and back. On some completely separate trips, I've driven through Kentucky to get from Detroit to Memphis and back. I used to have family that lived in Florida so I drove there a lot and Graceland is in Memphis so I try to drive there as often as possible. lol

But anyways, I hear what you're saying about age and distance, etc. Here's hoping you get a show close enough to you to make it happen!!

Thanks for clearing that up and thanks for concern on your part. I hope I can get to see them, I'm going to be missing out on Priest's last tour, maybe GNR can be something to make up for that.

That's a bummer about Priest. I've never really been a fan, but I can see being bummed about missing their last time out. I'm hoping something happens near ya for GNR and hopefully we'll know the lay out of the tour sooner than later.

That's one of the only good things about living in Detroit is the location. It's a major enough market to where pretty much all tours I would wanna see come within a 30 minute drive of me. And then if I chose, I can drive up to 3 1/2 hours away to hit Cleveland, Chicago or anything in between to catch the same tour again.

  7. Kudos to faldor at gnrevolution. He immediately read into that tweet and posted about it. I'm not sure why but I didn't get the East Coast connection until faldor made his post and I was like "Oh yeah!" but the thing showing up about the Miami show definitely set it more in stone!

  8. Hmmm...does this mean a new album really could be on its way?

No, it means a US tour is a significant possibility.

    Ok.

Let´s put it this way then NewGNRnOldGNR, you seriously think Axl is willing to risk things with another AFD/CD tour in America?

What risk? Guns N' Roses playing to Guns N' Roses fans is all I care about. I haven't even had the chance to hear some of my favorite Chinese songs live in person yet so I'd really like that opportunity before worrying about a new album.

Don't get me wrong, I'm ALWAYS up for new GNR material but I'm just saying no new album doesn't matter to me in the context of this tour.

  9. Well, that's confirmation. I'm guessing the US tour starts in Florida in late October like in '06, and I'll be able to see them at MSG or the Meadowlands in early-mid November, hopefully.

Good call. I'm hoping for a Detroit date sooner than later (obviously). They always seem to play here when it's this side of a blizzard so I'm kinda hoping a Detroit date would be a little earlier this time out.

I KNEW that tweet from the band earlier today meant something.

Unless they're playing some sick joke, this seems like the beginning.

  11. Axl catches a lot of hell from the uninformed types that he spent 15 years working on 15 songs. Would the media have been kinder had Axl come out with like a double or triple album with like 30-35 songs all at once?

that would essentially be three and half albums. spread over 15 years that's not bad output.

Would it have generated more interest in the U.S. for the album?

It would've generated more interest in the US if it had been promoted properly. Whether it had 5, 10, 15, 20 or 35 songs on it.

  12. Rhetorical question: Why do each of you come to this website day in and day out?

Every goddamned one of you would feel an emptiness inside your soul for the rest of your life if you knew for certain there was never going to be another Guns n' Roses record.

    Not even close.

Just because there's a certainty that there's no new product coming from a band isn't a good reason to not be interested or stop discussing them. I discuss Pink Floyd and Elvis quite a bit as they're some of my favorite artists. Neither of them have or have had anything "new" coming for quite some time. It doesn't mean I've lost interest.

  13. What would be your favourite Solo On Chinese, Barring the TWAT solo?

Mine has to be This i love.

Agreed. I personally think Robin's solo is TIL is hands down the best solo on Chinese Democracy including TWaT.

  14. What if we don't get another GnR record, ever? What if Guns is content to just tour and do internet rants? ; )

Would you consider bribing someone to acquire the vault stuff? Would you consider starting a fund that would eventually grow big enough that it could be used to pay the pertinent parties enough to get them to release the vault stuff? Would you break in and commit a felony to hear the unreleased stuff?

If you knew that Chinese Democracy was the last new-material GnR record, how would it affect you?

Or should we just have a little patience? (lame pun yes I know)

If we never get another GNR record I will continue to live my life. The world will keep spinning and the sun will rise in the east.

I love Guns N' Roses and all but I don't live each day waiting for them to release more material. If and when they do (and I like it), GREAT! If they never get to it, I'll be happy with the records they did release that I love and go on living my life.

  15. I've finally settled myself down with all the set list bitching I've done for years but I gotta be honest with ya; I'd LOVE to hear Civil War and/or Estranged again.

Civil War seems like a great choice to do near or around Riad (assuming they start playing that again) due to what it says in the Alternate Chinese book about "Riad" and how he inspired the song Civil War.

  16. To the ppl who want it uploaded....I tried and the files are to big for the 10mb limit on various uploading sites! B)

I don't know a ton about file sharing, can't they just go directly to the 4shared link and download the whole thing?

yeah, but this is to the ones who couldn"t download it for what ever reason.....they wanted the images uploaded seperatly so they can just right click and save I assume.

    Thats what I meant! B)

    GOTCHA!

Would it help if I uploaded the whole thing to a different site than 4shared?
