Looking at the Tom Morello footage, Slash looks way cooler in his sound check casual gear than the full top hat set up 

Footage like this reminds you just how good this band was in its prime. Second to none

Not the case for some of the CD songs. This I Love springs to mind. Song should be dropped from the set but you can’t say that solo doesn’t have serious melodic significance or isn’t well constructed 

This I Love and Street of Dreams prob the 2 weakest songs in the set IMO - tough ones for Axl to pull off and Slash does his own thing.

Funny because usually the vocals noticed more on YT than live but could def hear the difficulty in signing them when it was arena loud. Maybe coz Slash was low in the mix or maybe coz I was half expecting it. So maybe I noticed more than most. But they’d do well to just drop them IMO

Haha. Like I said - he was low in the mix at times and was hard to hear some of his solos till they adjusted it. But he was excellent ✌🏻

Axl looking pretty trim and having fun. Vocals sketchy at times but he’s giving his all. Seen Slash better but still in guitar god mode. Kinda miss his Illusions tour tone at times. Might just be the venue but sounds watered down at times and constantly switching guitars. Miss that saturated distortion that was so distinctive 

Band in really good form tonight, including Axl. A few issues with sound and Slash too low in the mix at times. He few bum notes here and there but solid performance!

Yeah a few bodies started leaving the golden circle after Nov Rain. Wichita lost the momentum. And as much as I love the album version of SOD, a lot of casual fans not really digging it.

Tough crowd though as they picked up to KOHD 😂
