All very well, but he was willing to risk his voice for one song pretty much through each and every AC/DC show for the entire length of the tour. Some of his performances on those shows was on a par with his performances 30 years ago

Axl could sing BIB with rasp if he wanted to but then it would pose two things
1) Why would he risk losing his voice on 1 song, it's pretty common knowledge that he uses his clean voice to preserve it
2) People would start questioning why he doesn't use Rasp on the Guns songs

Great to see some of the fast rockers getting a play, over all its a great setlist. A long show that could be trimmed down quite a bit, but shouldnt complain about that.
Reckless
SOYL
CRAZY
There's just songs now that Axl is really struggling with. Listening to WTTJ was just sad honestly, and he has been ale to pull that one of pretty well over the years.
Drop Better, Coma, YCBM, or anything that just doesnt sound good anymore.
Add songs that Axl can sing in his lower register:
You aint the first ,Bad Obsession, DONT CRY + PATIENCE should always be played,Pretty Tied Up, Move to the City
I would love to see a set like:
PRETTY TIED UP/ALTERNATE WITH YOU COULD BE MINE
ISE
BROWNSTONE
RECKLESS
DTTJ
WTTJ
LALD (for pleasing the larger crowd)
YOUR CRAZY
ABSURD
HARD SKOOL
SOYL
SCOM
BAD OBSESSION
MOVE TO THE CITY
NOVEMBER RAIN
ROCKET QUEEN
USED TO LOVE HER
KOHD-SHORTENED
NIGHTRAIN
ENCORE
ESTRANGED
DONT CRY/PATIENCE
MY MICHELLE/or something else a bit faster
PARADISE CITY
Obviously new songs - but Axl should try and stick to the low register tracks or the fast rockers hes seems okay with pulling off.
Move to the City a very good shout. Always enjoyed that on the old Tokyo VHS

Thought Axl looked and sounded great. Was full of energy in the first part of the concert too. He’s clearly much more prepared going into this leg. Vocal off at times and clearly winded but overall a solid performance. Drop Coma and Better where he clearly struggles - drop Slither which adds nothing to the set list - and replace with a couple of easier deep cuts and it’s all good. KOHD needs to go too - never liked that song live. It’s rather listen to a mid tier song like Dust N Bones over that

Yea the tour seems to be going well. Honestly, if they actually came to my city and tickets were cheap, I'd go see them. Unfortunately it seems like most 'casual fans' are done with the new albums though. SMKC is down to its core niche fan-base, and I can't help but think it's because Myles is clearly the weak link at this point.
No point blaming Myles. I’d say quality control is the weak link at this point. Each passing album feels more and more like a vehicle to get out on the road and have some fun

For me - both Snakepit records and Contraband are the holy trinity of Slash’s post-GNR output. The rest are nice to have

Back and Forth has one of Slash's best solos ever.
Agreed. Quintessential Slash solo and a perfect album sign off

Perfect ranking. although personally I’d switch LTD and 4 but the rest is spot on

They have their formula and (for better or worse) they stick to it. It’s the weakest release yet IMO. Spirit Love quite cool (can imagine Rod Jackson singing it) but the rest average at best. Silver lining is it’s finished and the band can get out on the road, make some coin and have some fun. Doubt Axl would’ve wanted any of this material TBH

All good - thanks mate 👍🏻🙂

D’oh! Title is misleading - that’s how I missed it. Mods - kindly merge…

Going to hold back on a detailed comment until I’ve digested it properly. But not a lot of overly inspiring moments on the first listen. Getting a little stale to my ears so far. They’ve got their formula and they stick to it - but a lack of subtlety and a lot of the hooks are very samey

Great - thanks for the heads up !

I’m about 20 recordings into the Buckethead Pikes collection (over 300 in total - amazing how prolific he is!).
Any particular ones people can recommend?
Cheers

At this point I think quality control has gone out the window - and the band is a vehicle to keep active and get out on the road touring

Cool song !

It’s all very well putting the blame on lack of promotion, management know-how and an aging fan base on the indifference to the release. The tour numbers suggest otherwise.
Let’s just admit it - the song is shite

This track has confirmed for me that the combination of Axl and Slash is so, so much more than the individual parts.
The production and style is quite grating though. Not sure I could take an entire album of that processed, edited and pieced together wall of noise and vocals.
A mediocre deep cut like Garden of Eden rocks way more without even trying

Should just kill 2 birds with 1 stone and play the show backwards
