No truth whatsoever.  They are routing through other parts of the country first.  I've been vacationing and not as plugged in over the past week but now I'm back and am trying to get more info for you all.

That sounds good man. I just spent a ton on Vegas, so do you think they will get anywhere close to Louisville, KY? :) Thanks again.

Awesome bud....I'm sure you'll be happy with your choice when you get there.....this is the view of the venue from the Monte Carlo....(yeah, we're this close)

Monte Carlo Hotel And Casino - Las Vegas, NV, United States. mountain view from 31st floor suites. new entertainment arena being built.

As for why you were only charged a certain amount.....the total includes the resort fee which will be collected at the hotel....which is also negotiable if you gamble enough when you are there.  Make sure to register for a rewards card when you are at the casino so they track how much you gamble....if you play enough, they may waive some or all of the resort fee at checkout.

I have a rewards card and got a room for free at the Flamingo, but have to pay the resort fees. How do you get them to take those off? Do you just ask the person at the front desk?

That video of Street of dreams was the first I've listened to it in a long time. I forgot how great it was. I remember watching the videos of the 2002 tour when they came out(and this song was still called "The Blues" I think.). Axl definitely had a drive about him then. Something he has shown again in later dates ('06, '10) with some exceptions. I think he definitely had moments where he shined in '02. But I think he had better vocal performances later.

It was best when it was the blues with the "ok, nevermind" bit from Rio. The Chinese Democracy version is a bit overkill for my liking.

  4. I was at the Columbus show in 2002..fresh out of high school. The guy killed it live. Doesn't even compare to how he's been the last few years. I remember going to Hammerstein in 2006 and feeling not as entertained (even though it was a good show and he played twat). The 2002 Axl was a force to be reckoned with, just go back and check those killer screams from live and let die. Bone chilling.

  5. He had some rasp in 2002. He also hasn't let out a scream like the example above since 2002. He did it consistently on that tour. I guess I'm in the minority, but I would take the 2002 Axl Rose over any other new version of Axl out there any day of the week.

A real shame that rasp was only there for those (powerful) screams.... Axl Rose without rasp is simply not Axl Rose, and in 2006 he got his mojo back.

  6. I remember him letting out these kinds of scream during Live and Let Die at EVERY concert from 2001-2002. He lost it from 2006 on. He's had some screams that were about half of what this was, but if he could get this back, the entire tour will take off. I'm sure it will be hard for a 53 year old man to do that, but prove us wrong Axl. Take over the world again with this band!

Just bought my ticket.  I'll be in section 10, row 5 which is actually on the floor....but in the back, before the raised part of section 10.  Paid $420 for the ticket after fees....should be worth it.....:axl:

That looks like a good spot. I keep going back and looking at pictures of the arena being built on the inside, and it seems like the entire lower section looks like it will have a good view. I'm hoping my section 14 row v seats have a good view.
