  1. Hey everyone. I remember a while back there was a thread and somewhere in that thread people were talking about a shirt that Axl wore on stage. The picture was from the UYI days, and I believe the shirt was a security shirt and had the name Versace on it somewhere. Anyone remember this? Can anyone point me in the right direction of that thread or maybe someone even has the picture? Thanks

  2. Definitely official, not very rare. $10 each? All depends on condition of course.

Where can I get the 14 Years Promo CD?

Can't find it on eBay. :(

    you can try eil.com, slcd.com, taang.com, netsoundsmusic.com, gemm.com

    those are just a few

    of course just try google

  3. Oh I understand about collecting, but what differance does it make if I buy it now at $200 or in 1 month at $20 ?? Does getting it sooner make it more collectible?

I know for a fact I will get this within one month for about $20 at my local cd store, I always find this kind of stuff there, so I get to keep my other $180 that must make me less of a collector right?

Please read the other posts for now on before you respond. I addressed all your concerns in my other post. Too bad you can't prove to any of us that your local cd store will have it for $20. I never said it makes you less of a collector than me or anyone else, or that it makes you more of a collector. But it doesn't make anyone a "fucking moron" for buying it now. Again, read posts before you post.

  4. $160.00? LOL fucking morons

    Gunsguy

Whoa dude, a little harsh there, eh? I see you're a "supporter" of this forum. Should I call you a fucking moron for paying for something that you get for free? Similar analogy to what you said in one of your other posts. By the way I do not think that paid subscribers to this forum are morons but do you get what I'm saying here? And since you're a supporter of this forum and a fan of the band (I can only presume) I would think that you would be happy that there's this much interest in the band and one of their singles. Might these be cheaper in the future? Sure. But maybe not too. Someone decided to take the plunge. Also, since you like pointing these kinds of things out so much, you might have done your homework and seen that there was someone who bought one for $200 (way higher than $160 - man they must really be dumb huh?) not too long after this one ended.

the bidding ended, thank god but, there are more:

    and:

I would rather spend money on the album and merch

I assure you that 'God" had nothing to do with it. I would explain the whole collecting aspect but it appears that ThinkAboutYou beat me to it.

  5. No it's real, just like the copy I got from the station I work at here in Virginia. I can attest that almost two-thirds of the radio promo singles we receive in each week do have a blue back, I'm guessing because those cd-r's are cheaper and quicker to turn around. I can take a picture of a stack of promo singles from other artist's with blue backs if that will shut you naysayers up.

They are called "acetate" singles, and they are authentic.

Damn ozzfan, you beat me to it! On a related note, I was really hoping that no one would post this eBay listing. Now the price is even more likely to rise to a ridiculous amount.

  6. You can't win them all

    lol :rofl-lol:

How was that muppet on HTGTH having a go at you about it Troccoli. Saying, you already have one why did you want to bid on it.

If something is cheap I buy it even if I already have it, then on sell it later and hopefully make a few $$'s.

Yeah, they're such a tool. And you're right - it's an investment. Not only that, but as a collector with a collection that's arguably worth tens of thousands (like you, Christos, Pandora, etc.), youo want to make sure that the value of GNR memorabilia remains high. So when something like that sells so cheap it's akin to watching the stock market take a plunge.

  7. What do you guys think about this shirt?

    http://www.troccolitm.com/shirt.html?1221878838468

Is it official or a bootleg? Not that being a bootleg makes it uncool or anything, just curious. From what I can recall (although I can't find a pic for the life of me), there is an official shirt where on the back it says Welcome to the Jungle in the same font that It's So Easy is printed in. The person who has it got it from someone else so they don't know the history (where it was bought, etc.). Thanks!

It's a bootleg shirt. The official shirts have a printmark. 1991 Guns N' Roses under license to Brockum for example. These shirts don't have such a printmark.

Trust me man, I know all about that - www.troccolitm.com. I'm thinking more like Appetite/Pre-Appeite era. For example, the shirt that Adrien Young is wearing in the Reckless Road book. If you ever told me that was official I'd roll my eyes, but apparently it is. Official meaning sold inside at the venue anyway. Thanks for the feedback so far everyone. Appreciate the quick replies.
