  1. Talked to my local cd-station today, they're reply was; "Axl's still around? new cd? don't think so dude"

don't forgett, you're living in norway with a bunch of norwegians :)

..don't worry, the album is soon out there

Vet du hvordan du kan få en svensk ubåt til å synke?

    Du banker på døra..

Hvorfor bruker det svenske brannvesnet så lang td på å komme til brannen?

De må finne et orkester som kan spille sirenen....

Bet that shut you up! :xmasssanta: :P

  2. I'm sure this is the record company. Axl probably doesn't wan't this, he want's to promote the new guys, not the old line-up, still feel it's great we are getting this, Don't know if it's been confirmed tho ?

Chicago was an amaazing show! Inglewood, damn, that's rock history, that would kick ass.. With time maby ?

We will probably be getting a New Era dvd after the album is out.

  3. Oh boo hoo hoo.

If she was really a long-time fan as she claims, then she would know that the show always has a late start - and she wouldn't be acting shocked and appalled that the band might not hit the stage before 11 or even midnight. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the woman.

Attacking a disabled person. That's a classy move. But I get the feeling that you don't have any sympathy, period.

One can't criticise anyone less fortunate than you without getting bashed, that's so fucking stupid.

We all know, one should have respect, but the case here is obvious, as Madison pointed out.

    Small story from one of my shows this summer;

I had been standing in line 11 hours to get in! Got in, and i was as close as one could get!

Than there came this really tiny person, probaly 150cm tall (myself beeing 175, which is not that tall either)

And she demanded that i gave here my place, cause she was so tiny.. That pissed me of! i was in que 11 hours to see this AWESOME band, and there she was, showing up after bullet had played demanding to have my spot. She probably knew she was not to tall, why not just stand in que yourself ?

The bitch even tried getting security to make someone give they're spor up front to her. I simply just told them "Most of us have been standing outside 10 hours to get theese spots, she just got here, who the hell does she thing she is ?"

  4. If NIN or Metallica treat they're fans that much better, why bother with this band ?

It's not like they took away something we had, which left us dissapointed.. Youre complaining about something the band never had, and something you know the band's not a huge fan of, if they are a fan at all..

That's totally illogical and devoid of reason.

If bands I don't care for do well for their fans, I should give up on my favorite band because they don't?

GN'R is not an old-fashioned band anymore. We are not living in 1986. The Internet encompasses everything. Don't make excuses for management just because they can't be bothered to provide anything for fans. And saying they're not giving us any updates or exclusive material because "it's not the same" as going to a live show, and they don't want to cheapen the experience, is just plain silly. We'd better toss out all those old GN'R performances then - and boycott the new Chicago DVD coming out.

Do whatever you feel is right.

You got into this band, you knew what the band stood for, what the band gives you, what you get.

You got into the band with Axl Rose in the front seat, don't expect him to change for you..

(Not sucking Axl's balls or whatever, spare me.)

  5. The band is on tour, what udate would you like ? A useless "Last night's show kicked ass!" ..

Well, if they took a page from NIN, they could post pics from the shows, live streaming vids from some of the shows, short clips from some of the sound checks (if there are sound checks), one or two minute clips of a band member talking before a show or about a show, vid clips containing short chats with some of the fans at the shows to give internet fans a feel for the atmosphere, etc..... Those are just a few things they could be doing to update the site and create a buzz. All of those worked well for NIN. *shrugs*

I can think of all kinds of other things they could do as well. But, I'm sure if they're interested in further advice or suggestions, they'd just ask. :book:

I agree. And not just NIN - a lot of bands as big as GN'R have much better interaction with fans on the websites. Exclusive videos and pictures and interviews and sound clips and bootlegs (like Metallica) and so on and so forth. This website is really just like a "Wikipedia stub" where it contains basic information but it's waiting for someone to come in and expand it to full-length. Sadly knowing the history of this band I don't think they will ever take that initiative.

With time, To me Gn'R are old fasion, they are still bad ass rockers, showing up when they feel like it. Nagging about this to change is useless..

I'm sure they want us to be at the show, capturing the magic of it, other than us watching it on tv, cause there is something special with GN'R live, the live footage does not give it justice. Offcorse better than everyone ellse's footage, just noge as good as reality.

Axl and the band, theey are waay behind one the whole internet thing.

Axl, the boss, HATES internet ? why the hell would we expect a maajor GUNS N' ROSES ON THE INTERNET thingy than ? If we know, the man behind the band can't stand it.

And as i said, if you bothered reading it all.. WHEN the album us out, i'm sure they will use ut to promote. Cause obviously, the music is second, if not third.. with you guys..

If NIN or Metallica treat they're fans that much better, why bother with this band ?

It's not like they took away something we had, which left us dissapointed.. Youre complaining about something the band never had, and something you know the band's not a huge fan of, if they are a fan at all..

You keep mentioning al theese great band's and they're pages.. There are more without it.. GN'R beeing one of them..

I suppose you came into the band this way, why would you expect it to change?

If you date a badboy, you get a badboy..

  6. At HMV Canada we have been made aware that the album is coming out on..

    TUESDAY DECEMBER 19, 2006

    Who by?:)

Go ask the guy at HTGTH, he started the rumour, I'm just spreading it.

that's why these boards have sucked over the last 6 months, because all of you silly newbies come on here and spread dumb ass rumors all over the place. :anger:

No, that's why the boards are still alive...

6 moths ago we'd still be here.. Making serious discussion ;)

We are all newbies at one time.

But right now, everything is extra bad, in a few months stuff will get worse., then everything will get back to normal, they will lose interest and get lost;)

  7. First of, I love my "kind"..

A few months back we had nothing.. I agree, more is always great, but if this is what we get for now, than GREAT!

I'm sure we will be getting a new, or atleast an improved page when the album is released..

There has not been a updated GN'R page since the 2002 tour. That does not make "An update every few weeks" look too bad.

The band is on tour, what udate would you like ? A useless "Last night's show kicked ass!"

If we were to get that, your "kind" would still complain, "The album, blabla".

The page will be updated when they have something to tell us, most likely when there's a release date.

Or, in a worst case scenario, a official postponing of the 2006 release..

  8. The question isn't is it up, it should be is it upDATED. The answer is a big fucking no. Video, two days later video, two days later video... nothing.... nada.... Deja vu all over again!

    Complaining S.O.B.

The page has been regularly updated since it's launch, if they have something to put there, it get's updated..

Nothing to say at this point..

I'm not gonna bother fighting this negative ungrateful crap, but hell.. enough is enough people..

There should be a digital watch on the page, "updating" every second, bet that would shut you up, aswell as giving you info about something you probably already knew..

WHEN THERE IS SOMETHING TO UPDATE ABOUT, IT GET'S UPDATED BITCH

  9. the most annoying thing on this website is people judging others by their post count. some 18 year old with 10,000 posts looking down on a 30 year 'original' fan with 10 posts........

the same teenager who in 5 years will have 'grown up' and probably laugh at how they spent all day on gnr boards convincing themselves that this is their lifes passion.

yeah it's been said before, many times by many people but it doesn't sink in, i guess newbies come in all shapes and forms.

(not directed at anyone in particular.....just a rant from a pissed off dog)

    Going on 5 rock3

Which does not make me less of a fan, just younger, fresher, HOTTER.. You get the picture :xmasssanta: :xmassrudolph:

...and less experienced . But that's cool....I always hope the GnR legacy would live on...keep carrying the torch.

    Would'nt say

  11. I think its fucking awsome that Refused, a hardcore/punk band from Sweden, is on that list and beats bands like RATM and Tool :xmasssanta:

They must be pretty awesom, actually gonna check those guys out. Duff is a huge fan of them :krider:

    Check this out, haha :D

Duff Says GN'R Will Reunite... if "Refused" Do it First

Yeah, they are awsome. I opened for them a couple of times with and old band I had back in 1997. We were involved in the same punk scene as them so its really funny and great to see the hype their last album got and how huge it really is. Check out their album "Songs To Fan The Flames Of Discontent" which is their best release if you ask me. It reminds me alot of Slayer, but with the hardcore touch. :)

    Noted. Thank You :D

  12. KERRANG KLASSIC

THE 100 GREATEST ROCK ALBUMS EVER!

A 132-page special edition magazine from the makers of KERRANG!

Kerrang has just voted Appetite For Destruction the number 1 rock album of all the time.

The article also includes a brand new personal message from Duff. A personal message from duff mckagan starts the mag:

    Welcome To The Jungle!

"So kerrang has just voted AFD the number 1 rock album of all the time? Wow! That's pretty cool. After 20 years, it feels sort of surreal. No way did we know that we were making a classic, let alone something that would stand up to the very best. We were young and living in the moment. There's two years of our lives in that record. We were together that whole time when we were writing and recording it. We were a gang in our own little bubble in LA. We got fucked up together, and we had each others backs. Back then, if you fucked with one of us, you had all of us to deal with. We wrote those songs for ourselves, for each other. We weren't thinking about what other bands were doing - we had our own thing going on. We didn't even have a deal then, but we were playing them in clubs, and the reaction we got was instant gratification. Right from the start, I knew we had great songs. i think that's why the record has lasted all these years. I haven't listened to 'Appetite in years. The last time I heard the whole thing was when I started dating the girl who's now my wife. That was around 11 years ago. She had a cassette of the album in her car - she bought it long before she met me. She liked to rock out in the car, just her own bad self! When she played it to me, the first song we heard was "My Michelle" and I was like "Take it off!" but halfway though the song I got to thinking, "Y'know, this is pretty fucking cool!" I watch a lot of football and baseball games, and at just about every sprots event in America, they play 'welcome to the jungle' most of the songs bring back pretty good memories.

Things are very different now. We all have homes, cars, kids. We didn't have any of those things when we were making that record. We're not the same people we were. Back than GNR was our whole life. That feeling is not something I could recapture; it was a fleeting time. But when I think of AFD now, it reminds me of a really good time in my life. For all five us that was a really amazing little period that we all shared together, and no matter what has happened between us over the years, that's something we'll always have between us.

The ultimate rock folly? far from it.

It's often said that the UYI albums marked the point where GNR ditched their gutter-punk roots and embraced stadium rock bombast. in fact, many of the big balleds pre-dated debut album AFD 'don't cry' for example, was the first song they ever wrote together. Of the two albums, 2 is the more cohesive, let down only by the scrappy 'get in the ring' (during which axl rose blasts kerrang and other music papers). Recalling the grandeur of Led Zeppelin and Queen, 2 signposted a bold and ambitious future that, tragically would never materialise. Rose vowed to tour the UYI albums until they'd together sold over 30 million. Less than halfway to that target, the band had torn itself apart.

    1. GUNS N ROSES - APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION

The daddy of all hard rock records from the deadliest gang in town.

If there is such a thing as a perfect hard rock then this is it. Lurching out of LA like a gang of inner-city pirates, GNR debut album distilled every great rock n roll idea into one self contained package. There was the death-tripping hedonistic blues of the Rolling Stones , the shambolic swagger of the New York Dolls, the punk snarl of the Sex Pistols and plenty of melodic hooks to pull the wider mainstream into their seedy world.

The epitome of an album that's all killer and no filler AFD offered a lifestyle and an attitude, with the songs to back it up. Despite the influences, with axl's paint- stripping holler and reptilian shimmy and Slash's impeccable playing , GNR sounded and looked like no other band. At the heart of 'it's so easy' or smack rock tale 'Mr Brownstone' lay a dark-hearted street-smart sensibility, while 'Paradise Cty' swung with substantial menace and 'sweet child o'mine' offered the ultimate power ballad. Think about it: have you ever met a rock fan who doesn't like a least some aspect of this album? Thought not! If the devil really has the best tunes than AFD surely takes pride of place in his collection.

    Kerrang! , GNRDaily

  13. Amazing how in September we all thought that CHinese D would be out today...well, fast forward to today and this GNR fan walked into FYE at 8:30am fingers crossed that Axl would deliver and all of my provocations were unnecessary...but what did I see? I saw 20 people with red albums in there hands waiting on line, turns out it was Jay-Z's new album...I asked the manager if Guns N Roses' new album was coming out anytime soon and he said he had nothing on that album, and even laughed at me saying, "Is Guns N Roses even still together?"

How the fuck can the GNR camp expect to operate like this? I mean shit, all of us, all of us fucking fans were fucking brand ambassadors telling everyone we knew that 2006 was the year, we even told people sometime in November, probably the 28th...now we all look like fucking losers! How come Jay-Z fans have known for months that their man would deliver the goods on November 21, but Axl and GNR fans are completely in the black...it's fucking bullshit. And it's not even like we know the FUCKING YEAR it will come out! Fuck month, fuck day, we don't even know FUCKING WHAT YEAR it's dropping!

Pissed off I decided to just buy the Jay-Z album and support an artist that actually knows how to promote and deliver music to his fans. It's not a bad album, no GNR, but shit, Axl gives us no other option but to loathe him. Every Tuesday between now and 2006 I would like us all to raise a middle finger to Axl, that's right, FUCK YOU AXL, 2006 is the year? Sure, whatever you say, liar.

Don't worry, dude.... I'm sure it's neither the first time nor the last time you'll be laughed at!! :)

    rock3 :krider: :rofl-lol:
