  1. Sorry is my top 3 from the CD album after TWAT and SR.

I've listened to Slash's By the Sword and I really like it but I've noticed the similarities of some riffs and solo. I mean the new song has suddenly changed the tune when reaches the solo.

Guitar riff from Sorry started at 1:58 and solo at 3:00.

    They're now communicating....

Slash had video of the guitar part to "By The Sword" posted on the Gibson website in March 2008.

With guitar tab for the song.

    .

how come you guys keep posting proofs that Slash's riff was available to the public before Sorry was if you're also denying the similarities? :shrugs:

I for one, hear some similarities, but not enough to think either one is a rip-off the other

  2. I saw a guy that looked just like him in a water park 4 years ago...

oh, and I met him in January

it was different from what I expected, for some reason I thought it'd be like floating on a cloud or something but he was just so down to earth and funny! his stories were very great! and it felt very comfortable.. one of the coolest people I've met by far, and I'm not just saying that because of what he's done and is doing because he still would be if I hadn't had any idea who he was..

  3. Hey pyroguy, can you tell us a bit about the process of designing the stage and how you came up with the pyro? Thanks!!

Basically everything they ever did before I threw out. We started from scratch listening to what songs they wanted pyro in and what things they liked and disliked. Then I came up with an interpritation of what i thought the show should be. We then did a tech rehersal and video tapped it for everyone. Then the next day me and Dell sat down and went over likes and dislikes till we got to where the show is now. From a design stand point I have been doing pyro for 15 years and can see what it should look like in my head. Which does not always mean that everyone one else sees my vision. I think it ended up very tastefull and there is alot of new custom designed pyro as well as my own designed and built flame effects. The open and end are by far over the top as compared to ther shows I have done. The open is 74 pieces in 3.6 seconds and the close is 165 pieces in 12.5 seconds. I hope this gives you a little info. thumbsup.gif

oh man that's cool! I saw two shows in Canada (when I said "I wasn't there" I meant at the beginning of the tour...) And I remember the first show when the pyro got you looking around EVERYWHERE! I LOVED it!! like, when the pyro came into Chinese I didn't know what the hell was going on until my brains blew out!

  4. Guns N' Roses guitarist on how well you play HIS solo?

Just as a sidenote: I'm pretty sure that's Buckethead.

    so lets sum this up:

a GNR guitarist comments on a GNR fan covering a guitar part of GNR guitarist that the commenting GNR guitarist covers himself as well. what a mindfuck

about as simple as it can get with GNR though... and for some bizarre reason I love them for that!

  5. how cool is it that the Pyro Guy is posting here? rock4

but about the comment above me... I don't think he was talking about the first few shows of this tour since I never noticed any change of rhythm because of the pyro through the youtube videos.. but then again, I wasn't there so I don't know

  6. Please.... what incident? What happend?

Well in short in November 2002, Axl didn't show up in time for the first show of the first Gn'R North American tour in almost a decade. Roughly 10 000 fans stood behind me in line outside GM Place when a security guard came out to announce over a megaphone that the show had been cancelled. A beer hit the door in front of me cueing the start of a riot that cause hundreds of thousands of dollars worth in damages to the outside of GM Place, When fans opend fire on the police with roman candles the cops fought back and let the dogs out literally. Fans were chased by police dogs through the parking lot. In short it was insane.

I highly doubt Gn'R is banned from the city of Vancouver but I equally doubt anyone associated with GM Place or any other venue is lining up for Gn'R to play there. They could do one of those secret acoustic gigs no problem though,

I thought he was joking... but I don't know

  7. I wouldn't say that mine was very stupid.. but my friends and family seem to think it was.

anyways, a few weeks back I spent all of my money traveling to Canada to see Guns without permission and told my parents I was going on a school trip... it WOULD'VE been stupid had I gone with my original plan and camped out during the night... but Bumblefoot actually called me up on the phone convincing me not to do so (I couldn't afford a place to stay) so as many of you know, I got to stay with some of the members here. Thanks again!

  8. already read like three articles like that one where I'm the bad guy =/

I guess it's hell of a lot less of explanations and therefor more comfortable to write about when I am the same as Madison and that I was claiming the exact opposite of what I was actually claiming... three minutes of fame and I'm already trashed to pieces.. wonder how Axl feels

Wonder how Axl feels? wasn't your mention enough? wanna get a personalized rant? then stop beign sarcastic.

and just what are you talking about? try reading what I said again if you're confused...

  9. Revolver and I in Brantford (Revolver on the left)

    elitf.jpg

I'm really happy for you man, you look like a child in Christmas. :D

the "kid" (cuz i'm old(37)) has great energy! having great energy attracts other great people with great energy to them. this is obvious in his trip......his adventure is one i'm jealous of......maybe if they tour to Iceland I should go. could never emulate his trip, as you get older......you somehow lose that sense of fearlessness.

    great meeting you "kid" lol

oh hi man!! haven't had the chance to meet up with you on the forum since I came home.. it was such a great trip man and thanks for being a part of it =)

  10. Budweiser? Really? Man, it really does my head in that when North Americans say beer they automatically mean rancid lager. When Stone Cold Steve Austin used to brag about all the beer drinkin' he could do and douse people with his beer truck and all that I could only think 'But you're drinking rancid horse piss. You need to get some real motherfucking ale. You need some goddam bitters and stouts and porters. Hell, get some fucking Guinness and drench those fuckers in something with some taste, density and color, not that fizzy donkey-piss pop in a bottle'.

That said, if someone offered me a Bud backstage i'd probably keep the fucking bottle :D

Bud's that beer you drink when you can't think of what you really want to order. It's easy to remember and it's not horrid - there's worse - but there's far better. It's just usually cheap, and available. If someone hands me a bottle, I drink it, but I never go out of my way to get it.

I didn't get a Budweiser backstage... only in Brantford and only reason it'll remind me of Brantford is because I don't buy that here in Iceland... here I buy Icelandic beer or, as you said, Guinnes

  11. Revolver, what did customs say to you when you said you were here to see the almighty Guns?

well immigration tore me a new one!

EDIT: and GREAT times Montrealer!! it was so much fun!

I had you worrying since I took so long in immigration, didn't I? haha =)

  12. already read like three articles like that one where I'm the bad guy =/

Hey Revolver just wanted to say that it sucks you got caught up in this. I haven't posted about any of this shit because really, there's no need, but you don't deserve it. I hope you look back on the trip as a whole as a great memory!

And from what Montrealer said someone passed along to Axl/GNR/Whomever that you weren't the one stirring things up, which is great.

thanks.. appreciate the support and yes, Beta knows that Axl misread me..

she was so nice it truly can not be described in words!

they all were so nice to me which is why I panicked about Axl misreading me and thinking of me as a back-stabber.. but I hope all is well now
