The reason people give Fernando shit,is 99.9% of us would love to be in his shoes. He has a great gig.When he is on people expect him to speak for Axl/GNR but he has said before that isn't his job.It's cool that he posts here at all.
This aint my place to say but I do want everyone to know that his job may seem "sweet" to most and they would love to have it, that in real life he works REAL hard and is VERY good at what he does for the band. Some may say I am sucking up, but in reality I know that he works hard and most here could not survive one week doing what any of them do.
Just my two cents
yeah the few times I saw him in action he really seemed to know what he was doing.. and his family were some of the nicest people I've ever met! can not believe the shit they have to go through when visiting this forum =/

Agreed. If he had come out right away and said that he believes fans should be able to wear whatever they wish, this would have ended the entire discussion. But he didn't.
And I have to say that it saddens me that Axl thinks the sources are "fake." The security manager is very real and I have his name and phone number if he's interested in following up. Also, our forum members who witnessed this firsthand had no reason to lie. Axl can talk to them as well if he doubts they exist.

Your lucky as man, im sooo jealous, i would be so star struck. I know what the answer will be, but did Axl say anything about future plans or the next album? I know its a longshot but your all we have!! haha
not as I recall.. (there were a lot of shots for free) mostly talked about either what was going on now and stories from back in the day

just got my pictures back... about 80% of them are pretty much blank though or very, very dark =/

Were you guys able to get pics with Axl but you (out of respect for him) just don't wanna post them on here? Even if cameras were discouraged,surely one of you guys, Revolver,GunsGuy,Junglecat had cell phone cameras.

Some of us did have cell phone cameras, but didn't use them.
We shook hands with, talked to Axl on many occasions, but we didn't take any pictures of him or with him. No one asked us not too. Out of respect or too busy partying, probably both. For myself I prefered to have the opportunity to talk to and party with an incredebly cool artist (he was really nice in person), over having pictures and no talk! I think the same goes for all of us from the Forum who had the opportunity to meet Axl.
We did take a few pics with 2 band members (DJ Ashba, and Bumblefoot) at the last after show I attended (Quebec City, Montrealer posted the pics). Mabye other pics will pop up, I don't know.
This being said, we should have thaught of taking a group picture. I think the reason we didn't is because we were all on the "go" and often some of us had different itinaries (plane, train, car), different time for flights, diferent hotels, etc. We were all way tired.
I will post today a few pictures of mygnrforum members at pre-show GT's in London, and Toronto!
It was so cool to meet and party with Revolver who traveled such a long way (from Iceland) to see the London and Montreal concerts! It was so funny finding out we ended up by chance being on the same train to London.
Damn I didn't think of taking a group-photo!! and yeah, that's exactly what I though of taking pictures of the band, just so much cooler to just hang out with them and get the chance to chat.
a lot of pictures were taken of me as I was talking to bandmembers but have no idea where they are and who took 'em.
looking forward to seeing your pics from the London pre-shot GT! and yeah it was funny we were on the same train but still couldn't talk because we were in different parts of the train

I never took a picture during the trip at all, in fact I wanted one of us forum members in Montreal and never even got my camera out go figure! No one told us not to take pics it was not like that at all. I only wish Revolver could have taken some with everyone for his memories, but the memories in his head will live on forever
I wanted to get some pics as well man! but for some reason forgot!! probably havin' too much fun.. didn't really take a lot of pictures throughout the trip, some in Brantford but that's pretty much it! I'll get them on monday and I'll see then.. but took way too few!!
miss you guys it was way too much fun to have on one trip!!!

I blame Axl for alot of things but not sure about the stuff BBF mentioned. I'm not taking sides at all and who knows it might have been Axl's decision. Probably was. But to just go "hrmph hrmph look what axls done..." right after BBF says it was management/situation's fault isn't very smart.
I love how BBF knew people would freak out about that so he had to clarify that it wasn't Axl (or so he says). It's sad that anything negative that happens is Axl's fault now without any consideration whatsoever. Axl is or at least was a troubled person at one time or another but to call him an asshole for his whole life based on a few things he's done (more than a few) is being a bit ignorant.
Some people say Axl is not open minded enough to forgive Slash/bury the hatchet. I'd say some of you aren't open minded enough to the fact that people can change. Not saying Axl DEFINITELY HAS, but consider it.

Well, if someone is going to accuse people of "making up stuff," then he should be open to seeing the proof that they didn't make it up. I would have thought that Axl - of all people - would be interested in knowing the truth about people and situations - especially when it involves someone who has supported him and his music from day one - rather than listening to people who are giving him bad information on what really happened.
Anyway, we can debate this in other thread as Eric requested.
Let's stay on topic.

The day you met Eric and I in London was awesome I finally got to meet you after talking I think every night since you said you were coming, lol even way before BF called you or you won the backstage passes.
Seeing you in London reminded me of my youth, you were on the rail just giving it, I loved it from my vantage point!
I remember hooking up just after the epic Montreal show, as we got ready to go Backstage I said to you "are you ready?" and you looked at me and you were like "oh yeah!!!!" Although I don't think you knew exactly what was going to happen just yet....
I was watching you talk to all the band members while I talked to others and could see you only got distracted from the girls lol
oh man those girls yeah! hahah I came up to you like 4 times just going "can you believe how hot those girls are man?! what the fuck??!" hahaha.. thanks for the good times man and I hope I'll see all of you soon! we'll just see how money goes, I guess

Also, Axl totally misread what I said and that's why he blasted me, all is fine now!
and yeah, Metallica had the biggest show ever in Iceland but some smaller bands have played here since... last one I think was Eric Clapton in early 2007 or so. Skid Row in late 2006 before that.. I went to that show and got up on stage during Youth Gone Wild and the singer picked me up and handed me the microphone and as I have so much respect for Sebastian Bach I just had to use the chance and I asked him in the microphone: "what's your name?"
told Baz the story backstage and he loved it hahah!
