  1. Guns N' Roses frontman W. Axl Rose spoke with People magazine about his performance last Saturday night (November 11th) at a Parkinson's Disease benefit at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City. Rose played "Live And Let Die" at the event, which raised money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation and was co-hosted by the actor and Muhammad Ali. Rose said about his appearance, "Michael had asked. We actually used a sample of Michael J. Fox from (the movie) Casualties of War in one of our songs that will be on the new album. So I felt, one, I've always been a fan of his. And I also feel for the guy and his situation. I'm for stem-cell research, so I just thought it would be wrong not for me to come when I was asked."

Michael J. Fox is a victim of Parkinson's Disease and campaigned for candidates in favor of stem cell research in the recent Congressional elections.

Guns N' Roses plays on Wednesday, November 15th, in Toronto, Canada.

There are six Tuesdays left in 2006 on which Guns N' Roses can release

  2. only 3500 tickets were sold because when your in a town full of christians, the fathers lock up their daughters when they hear axl's in town, and the boys just listen to some gay ass band called creed.,

for the other 3500 that bought them, this does NOT reflect on you =]

The arena only apparently holds 6000 people. That's a reflection of the size of the town. If most of the arenas hold in upwards of 20,000 in a lot of the larger venues, and only 10,000 tickets are sold, they actually sold BETTER in Portland (60% capacity vs. 50% in some of the larger venues).

I would have been happy with that if I were Axl.

So, I don't buy the 'low ticket sales' for this cancelation. I'll leave my opinion to that.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to flame... just so you know, 85% of the population of North America is CHRISTIAN. The town you're in is FULL OF CHRISTIANS. In fact, any town in North America is FULL OF CHRISTIONS. I suppose you're an atheist? Maybe a muslim exremist plotting an attack on the Sears tower? If you were trying to be funny, I suggest not quitting your day job at 7-11.

you is from the ghetto, i is from the ghetto.. we is all from the ghetto.

wank wank. your not quitting your day job line was so funny, i thought maybe you were a comedian.

  3. Or its because a band thats been widely forgotten for 10-12 years is touring for an album that is never coming out. Take your pick.

Seriously though they should have at least put out a single. The just "it will show up one day" approach isn't working.

    heh democracy in china? NEVER

    chinese democracy? NEVER

i think axl had a silent meaning to the album name

    its never comming

  5. hey guys, this month i would say if it doesnt come out on the 21st, then it may not come out at all this year, this is only speculation, because the 21st of this month is when alot of bands are releasing their new albums, i dont know why, maybe its just the way record companys work, but maybe we should check out geffen music releases and see when other albums of theirs are due for this year?

  6. Hey

A lot of people complain that Axl continuing on with the GN'R name was a bad move, and that the GN'R of today isn't really GN'R. Well, a question...If Paul McCartney and George Harrison left the Beatles in 1969, but Lennon and Ringo continued on as the Beatles, and let's say a few years later, released songs which would've been Lennon solo songs such as "Give Peace a Chance" or "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" could it have been legitimized as being the Beatles?

I think Axl made the wrong move in delaying the album for so long. If he had released an album in 1997 after Slash left, and some albums after that as well, I think many more people (and the media in general) would recognize it as being GN'R, especially if the albums were good and GN'R toured to support them and the new members gave interviews.

    Your Thoughts?

John Lennon is a dead hypocritte who sat on Merv Griffin spouting "Peace, love and dope" but alienated his own first son because he did not come from his dipshit wife Yoko, Sean got all the cash and look how great he is. John Lennon dies and Oprah took his place as the biggest hypocritte on Earth.

Paul is a genius and wrote the majority of the great songs , Hey Jude, Yesterday etc. So lets just take John Lennon out of any conversation, he would be in jail for no child support if he pulled his bullshit today.

I dont see too many people complaining about much except lack of variety in set lists actually. Which is actually becoming less of a problem with every show. Dont mean to jump on you dude, but I loathe that freebird lil bitch.

right on man!, i have constant arguements with my girlfriend over this stupid fucker lennon, for someone who sings about peace, and preached peace, the idiot couldnt even find inner peace, nothing but a stupid hypocrite, i look at lennon now, look at the time his peace shit was released, and came to one conclusion, his songs were memorable, but alot of people were striving for peace at that time, i think he had his eye on the dollar!

it's funny you said that, slash said the exact thing in an interview a few years back, and it's a good point. but this isnt the beatles, its gnr, and they seem to be doing well with a new lineup, somehow i dont think it would have worked for the beatles!

  8. HI AXL IF YOUR READING THIS IAM AVG! I LOVE YOU SMELL MY UNDERPANTS BLAH BLAH BLAH

haha, wtf?.. i want to get to know you?, shit, shes probaly outside his hotel right now hanging from a tree with binoculars and a cell phone with axl on the other line, and she just breathes, while he says "hello?"

  9. Adler has been the best drummer in GNR so far. Ok he was a bit reckless but on Rocket Queen he owns the whole world.

Sorum is very tight but Adler made the band have some sort of swing to it. After he was gone it was more on the beat.

damn right man, im a drummer.. and when i listen to appetite for destruction compared to uyi 1&2 appetite seems alot more natural and alot more goove in the drums, whereas uyi's had a little sterile sound to the drums.. adler had the groove that izzy fed off, and that was the real guns sound..

  10. it's out this year for sure, i mean, he's playuing the album to people at partys, means its finished.

he didnt do that back in 2002, now axl's got something, so id say this year is the year for cd

    Merck

he recognizes the important role the internet plays these days.

    lol...

so why this band Guns N Roses (which is one of the biggest bands of all time) does not have a fucking website which gets updated and shit. I mean it is not difficult to say at least once a year what's going on. We heard nothing but lies the last years (remember gnronline update 2003 which said: "news on CD soon", yeah right - someday this sentence disappeared and we had NO FUCKING UPDATE for 3 years) and fucking rumours all the time just because of this lack of information - yeah this manager does a really good job :rofl-lol:

There is no reason for such a behaviour. EVERY other band (even the ones that doesnt exist anymore) would try to inform their fans with TRUE information. GnR Fans get shit. This whole "anit-promotion" makes NO sense is so damn stupid.

I mean a whole European Tour was not even listed on their website...but the manager "recognzies the important role the internet plays today". yeah...

    ^^^^^

excellent rebuttle. that comeback is untouchable..

this guys won the debate. props to you man!

  11. i think an original guns n roses reunion tour/show/record would be horrifically lame. granted, it would be a lot cooler than the axl rose band.

i am a firm believer in bands NOT getting back together. it cheapens everthing (although the gn'r name couldnt be anymore cheapened than it already is)....look at jane's addiction! they never shoud have made that reunion record!!

also, i just dont think axl has it in him anymore. when i see new footage of his performances, i cant help but notice that he seems really out of touch with what he's doing. maybe his heart's not in it as much? he just seems a bit listless, and i've seen most of the footage of the new band.

    - thats because he doesnt pump cocaine and shit like he used to man, and the fact that people get more exhausted as they age =]

no, i don't expect him to completely tear ass like he used to, but i dunno, something about the way he moves/sings on stage in recent years is really off....and i say that with all respect to the man for being a total one-of-a-kind badass...

and as much as i don't like VR, slash and duff are still both really great performers. they move all over the stage, and look like they ain takin no prisoners. axl seems like he's been taken prisoner.

  12. this is horseshit, noway this was brought up, i dont believe it, where did you hear this?

    needs some proof buds

I don't care if you believe me or not. I heard it on a local rock radio station here in Vegas. I have never posted any "news" here before or rumors.

Read through my 3000+ posts and you will see I am not an attention seeking whore like everyone else who posts "rumors" and news.

I heard what I heard, and relayed the info. so blow me.

so blow you?, dude.. what are you still 16?, or are you just a stupid 30 year old that hasnt grown up yet?

  13. its legit man, thats axl's voice.. i dont think that will be the album version though, remember all the new leaks we have been given are demo's

just wait till they are mastered. even re-recorded.. though this new song sounds a hell of alot promising. i like it.. the riff reminds me from the appetite era.

  14. Please hold the sarcasm - I'm trying to help a friend out who wants to go to the show.

And, what are the correct lyrics? I haven't changed my sig since the original leak back in 2003 - they sound right to me.

Really? 'Cause according to your profile, you registered last year.

Give Axl a bit more credit than that. "The end of time plus two"? Is he in kindergarten?

dude, your a fucking loser, he asks for one thing, and you decide to be a smart ass, get a life you sexually deprived fuckface.

  15. that is NOT the real guitar, look at it on the actual photo with him and axl.. the damn backside of the guitar is showing man..

and that guns n roses logo on the guitar, its been pasted on there with a editing tool.
