Thats a tough one. I met both Gilby and Slash when I saw Slash's Snakepit back in 95, and they were both the most layed back, down to earth people I have EVER met. So its probably a tie between those two. I just think Slash is straight up, and I dont think he would make a statement like that unless he really believed it to be true.

Either way, I respect Slash more than any other "Former" member of the group, so I just dont see him pulling this out of his ass, he obviously has contacts. Until im proven wrong im going to look for it to be released in March, April at the lastest. Hopefully Slash was right

SLASH Talks About 'Chinese Democracy' Again: 'I'm Really Excited' - Feb. 11, 2006

Former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash recently spoke to "The Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show" on the U.K.'s Virgin Radio about the band's long-awaited album "Chinese Democracy", which is expected to be released later in the year. During the interview, Slash confirmed that the record is done and he said a "very official source" had already heard it, according to NME.com. He added: "Yeah, it's going to happen, I've been made aware it's been heard. I'm really excited, it's been a long time waiting to see what the next step around the corner was going to be for him (Axl Rose), we know where everybody else is, but we were wondering what he was going to be doing. It's coming out in March and apparently it sounds great."

Tracks slated to appear on the album include "Better", "There Was A Time" and "The Blues".

Although Axl and Slash have not spoken in the last 10 years, the VELVET REVOLVER guitarist said he was pleased that the record is finally going to see the light of day.

He added: "I've always been supportive over that thing, even though it's been turned in to a big controversial blah blah blah thing.

"When I left I was pretty pissed off for having to leave in the first place. After a while all the boo-haha that was stirred and all the negative press, sort of went in his direction, so I'm just waiting for the record to come out, so I'm glad where it's got to the point that that's happening.

Sorry if this has been discussed, im new here, but didnt Slash say that a VERY reliable source told him the album was coming out in March. And also said that person heard the album and said it was great.

Although the only one out of that list that I dont think is great, is CD. All the others I love so much.

Im not sure if its just the fact that I havent heard any new music from Axl in quite awile, or if I like them that much, but at this time I find these songs amazing. I cant stop listening to them.

TWAT I thought was ok when I first heard the m4a version, but after hearing the mp3 version which is ALOT better, this song is just blowing me away. I.R.S is great aswell, and from what iver heard of Better it could easily be the best song of the 3, but as of right now I like TWAT the best.

I want the album as a CD not accross the internet.

If they dont release studio versions of The Blues, I.R.S, Better and TWAT, Im going to be disappointed. As great as these leaked songs are, I can only imagine how the finished studio versions of these songs will sound.

Im not going to lie, I registered here when I first heard of the leaked songs. I read the article about it on Blabbermouth and it credited this site with the info, so I joined. I came here to hear the new music but I have been reading through this site and its great, one of the better band forums ive been on.

So yes, I came here like alot of the others looking for the new music and info, but I will be staying and posting because this is a great site.

This is my first post on this board because I just found this site, and this site is really cool. I understand why they want the songs taken down, it sucks but I could really give a fuck because I have them.

All I can say is it is really nice to hear some new shit from Axl, its like a breath of fresh air. The songs are great and I cant wait for the album.

And if anyone wants the songs just pm me, and I will link you.
