  1. I love Alice Cooper. I love him. I love his music, I love his radio show, I love his concerts... I just saw him this summer actually. I think he's great.. he's funny, smart, talented.. just awesome. I would love to hear Axl on that show. It would be great.

  2. Haha! JC, Jenna and Hitman, we were all front row, left side!!!

Remember when Axl stopped Nightrain and talked to Brain for a sec? While he was talking to him, I yelled as loud as I could, "KICK HIS ASS!". The crowd was quiet so I figured Axl and everyone around me heard me. Any of you catch that?

Anyway, yeah, I saw Izzy wink at someone to the right of me. I thought that was great.

    V~

lol! I actually do remember that! I was the chick with the pink bandana.

Izzy didn't wink at me, but Ron smiled and mouthed "what's up" to me... by the 17th, he and I were good buddies because I'd seen him everynight at the stage door B)

  3. lol, is this whole thread made up of the front row, left side? Because I was there, too!!

Anyway, yeah... Axl seems to enjoy the new stuff, and rightly so! Not that I don't love the classics, but it's great to hear new material, too. As for I.R.S. - he likes it enough to throw it in the acoustic set, too, so I'm assuming he really enjoys that one. It's a catchy tune, I like it a lot.

  4. JennaSide through my point of view you are the luckiest female on earth right now and i'd totally kill to be you! You danced with AXL ROSE  ? God your lucky...and you talked to the other band members and such too?

Axl's got some moves, it was a great time :D

The rest of the band is really cool, but like I said before - there are some great people that work behind the scenes, too. I'm just blown away by their kindness towards me... For example: the sound mixer was a total sweet heart, he gave me some guitar picks and let me stand on this ledge so I could see during the acoustic show.

Seriously, everyone there was top-notch. There wasn't a single person that was rude to me or made me uncomfortable... everyone was great. I was so happy to meet them all.

  5. holy shit!!??!!??! like where did that come from? secret appearences??? all accustic set??? amazing simply amazing. only 1 band could pull that off!!! the man is back! does anybody know how his voice was??? when u play accustic, its almost impossible to hide ur voice of have it changed up by the soundbooth!!! well im sure it was the most bad ass show of all the new york shows due to how close everybody was with the band!!! lets get some bootlegs up soon though!!!

He sounded great. Totally amazing. I was actually shocked at how good he sounded... he did it as a kareokee sing-along and had a telepromter with the words behind him so everyone else would sing too. He warned the crowd about singing I.R.S. though because the lyrics were different than written...

  6. now you're probably one of the luckiest members here

I really am. There are just some absolutely amazing people working behind the scenes in that band and I was just lucky enough to meet the right ones. Or maybe crazy enough... because had I not emptied my savings for tickets to all 4 shows, and had I not been outside in line for hours and hours and gotten up to the front gate 3 outta 4 nights, and had I not waited long hours by the stage door every night after the show... had I not done all these slightly-crazy things, I wouldn't have have met these awesome people. They rewarded my passion and dedication in the greatest way. I can't possibly thank them enough.

I've been going through some pretty awful things in my personal life lately, but this past week has brought me joy unlike anything I could've possibly imagined.

So thank you to the people that made this possible for me... I'm humbled by this whole experience.

  7. WHAT DOCUMENTARY?

there're rumors of a documentary floating around, so please know that I am not the one starting this. I can't confirm or deny anything, but the crew was there for this set. Who knows what'll happen with the footage.

I probably shouldn't be saying anything at all, but as a fan, I feel compelled to share my joy with fellow fans... they'll understand how exciting tonight was. My other friends just don't quite get it. So yeah, I'm done talking about it except to say that I'm so happy that I may just be stuck in a permanent smile for the rest of my life.

  8. 6 am.. just got home... still in shock... that was without a doubt the greatest night of my life. I danced with Axl. Hung out in their private room... I don't want to be the asshole that goes around and dishes all this stuff, but as long as you guys already heard about it... it was recorded by the documentary crew, so perhaps you'll see it if the documentary gets released.

That's all I'm gonna say about it: it was the best night of my life.

  9. Well, in the fan's defense... there haven't been a trillion people at the stage door, it's just a hand-full. And Baz didn't sign every single thing or talk to every single person, but he took a couple pictures, signed a few tickets (mine!) and no one criticized him for not getting to everyone. Most people thought it was cool to see him at all. So Axl doesn't NEED to sit out there for an hour, just 15 minutes of hey, how are ya, etc... but then again, still... can't make everyone happy, there would still be assholes and I'm sure he's tired. I'm not upset about it. I mean, of course I'd love to meet the guy, get an autograph or picture, but like someone said: He's a person, too. And I'm not one of those people that thinks he owes me something. He put on a great show and that's what I went there for.

  10. Looks like you're the only person who posts on a forum who actually saw "the wave".

Well, I was watching the stage door pretty intensely. lol and it's impossible that anyone missed his peace sign out the window while he drove away.

    People are just bitter.

  11. I don't know if anyone's said this already, sorry if they have...

I was at the stage door the last 2 nights and Axl did wave. It was breif, but he did, and on Monday he gave us the peace sign out the window as he drove away, but there were several people screaming at him agrily, shouting that he's lucky to still have fans, etc as he was leaving. I can understand their frustration - hell, I waited over an hour in the cold, too, but when you're rude about it, it sure doesn't seem like the way to win him over.

Ron was telling us not to yell at him on Monday. He was like "He needs to stay in the frame of mind he's in right now and there are always some people that want to ruin that. After it's happened so many times, he gets real warry of it, so give the guy a break. Know that he appreciates you guys a lot, he does, even if he doesn't stop."

I can understand this... I don't like it by any means, but I understand.

  12. I got there 10:30 and ended up against the rail.

Grr... I hate you fuckers. I'm a petite female who has worpshiped GNR all her life, and waited outside for hours and hours fair and square to get a spot where I can see perfectly and I get to the rail only to have to fight for my life to keep my spot when you people barge on in late and decide the place is yours <_<

anyway, I got there at 4:30 yesterday and got right up to the front (and then had to fight the people that waited til 10:30 for my spot...)
