Who the hell looked at that picture and even noticed that?!

I don't like the current trend of "emo" music and style and mentality....
It seems to me like it's just a bunch of losers singing about how lame they are. "waahh, no one gets me... my mom's a bitch..... girls don't talk to me.... waaahhhh"
What ever happened to ROCK STARS, not some average guy that nerds can relate to?
I want my musicians to be cooler than the pimple-faced kid that bags my groceries. I want them to be agressive, sexy, rich, stubborn, intimidating and not politically-correct. Someone who smokes and drinks and fucks and fights. I want to listen to people who are entirely NOT average.

I'd like to know where Axl stays when he's in town...
but anyway, I know a girl that works at Stereo... I'm surprised Axl hangs out there. It's not one of my fav clubs in town, but whatever - I might start spending more time there (unless the eye-spitter ruined the place for him)
-
This is Rock music we're talking about.... it's raw and tough and testosterone-driven. Get off your emo-conservative high horses and fling some mud. Rockers talk shit, that's just how it is.

Conan likes GNR... once in a while he does a (pretty decent!) impression of Axl's dancing before his monologue and be like "That's my Axl Rose dance"
I love Conan

I'd cerainly join if they start one up again... I'm not sure they really need one, this CD will be hyped enough as it is I think, but I enjoy doing street teams. I haven't been a part of one in quite a while
-
I hope he's back in NYC... maybe I'll run into him

we finally get an official statement and we still don't trust it. No wonder we haven't heard anything about the leaks/tour/CD - why bother, we won't believe that either
I for one believe this.
But why Slash would go to Axl's house is beyond me.
Yeah, I believe it too... that was directed at all these people saying "blah blah, I don't buy it. That's bullshit"
As for why Slash went over there, I have no idea. I'd love to know more about that whole exchange.

I have 'em on VHS...

I think Axl's just frusterated and letting off a little of the steam that's been building up over the years. He's reaching a breaking point in all this, and he's letting people in on some of the things he's had to deal with from these guys.
-
What language is that?
-
I have a friend that directs music videos... he primarily works on films, but he's done several music videos in the past... Yeah, it's highly unlikely he would get the job, but I would love it if he did - god knows I'd be on the set every waking moment

omg i effing told you people on mygnr that guns n' roses still influence people!
lol no offence meant really but still! you guys were making fun of me, even if her career doesnt
turn out great at least it shows they influenced someone
Of course they influence other people.
Hell, my fiance's a musician...GNR have had a substantial influence on him.
-
I think there's enough support with GNR fans to make this album a success, and I think there will be plenty of people that buy it out of curiosity - the thing has become this mythical legend afterall.
I think if the main concern was to make money, they would've thrown something together years ago and cashed in on it. This is Axl's pet project, and I really think he's doing it for himself at this point.
Of course, I hope it will be well-recieved by everyone, but if not, it's not going to keep me up at night. I'm used to liking bands that the mainstream audience out there doesn't exactly go crazy for. And it's impossible to predict how critics will respond... I'm sure it will have very mixed reviews. So be it. I don't think Axl wrote these songs for critics in hopes of getting some good reviews.
-
... something about "Guns N Roses releases a pop record" makes me cringe. Not that I don't appreciate the new direction some of these songs are taking, but man... that sentence just doesn't sit right with me.
-
I like the new direction... I wouldn't mind a couple more hard-rock tunes, but I love that he's branching out and these songs are great. I can't wait to hear the final product
-
You still think Axl is responsible for this?
-
-
That was great. I give this guy a hearty round of applause
-
That would be great
-
I'd applaud that... well said
-
Agreed. I'm sure a lot of people don't remember/weren't around for all that. It wasn't really a big deal... My, what a difference a decade makes

Lasik Eye Surgery
in MY WORLD
Posted
How old are you? You shouldn't get it if you're too young because your vision is still changing at a faster pace. If you get it, spend good oney on it. Don't go to one of those cheap places with the "get one eye done, get the second done free" places.
The only real issue is altitude. If you're planning to climb Mt. Everest someday, don't do it because for some reason in really really high altitudes, the cuts made on the eye from lasik surgery come undone and you're blinded. They might've fixed this, but I know that when the surgery was first being performed, a lot of climbers found this out the hard way.
