Not this thread again.
We have less than a month left of them...
-
The Fragile is amazing... you have to listen to it several times and then it will just click and from then on, it only gets better every time you listen to it.
With Teeth is great, but I wouldn't call it "the best."

New Merch.
in 2006
I would hope they'd have new stuff.
-
I'd be almost shocked if we didn't.
NYC is, like, the bootleg capital of the US.
I'm thinking that by the Monday show, you might be able to buy DVD's of the Sunday show outside the venue. (note sarcasm...but not much of it)
they'll have them down in china town "five dolla, five dolla"
in any case, I will pay keen attention to the ranting and get back to you all
-
Are we talking across the board or just in this respective "rock" genre... because "popular music" has changed. I think some of the top drawing bands world-wide are more pop (and now-a-days this whole emo thing is gaining steam) Hell, Madonna's doing 5 shows at Madison Square Garden this summer!
You turn on any hit radio station or MTV or anything, and I'm sure Metallica and AC/DC aren't the bands you see for the most part.
So world-wide across the board, I don't see them reaching that ultra status in today's music scene, but in the world of rock music, I think GNR could potentially make a really big come-back

Are you for real?
The reason people kept the password extremely quiet this time is because a majority of the diehard fans couldn't get a ticket the first time around. And the reason they couldn't get a ticket was because the password was leaked all over the place. Fans were smart not to leak it this time - they learned.
You can call them "assholes" and every name you like - but it worked well this time. The real fans got tickets - instead of the scalpers and fair-weather fans. (I have to admit I was surprised by the shockingly-high number of people who had fewer than 20 forum posts who managed to score tix yesterday while many of the dedicated diehard fans, who have thousands of posts, were shut out). So, today's pre-sale evened it all out. It was awesome.
I agree - thankfully people wised up this time around...
And I know what you're saying, especially in this case with the forum pre-sale list and all, but I feel it has to be said that a person's post count or membership date doesn't necessarily mean they're a bigger/lesser fan.

floor seats here for the 12th
i'm gonna pregame, but i won't be 21 till about 3 weeks after the shows
but i could always sneak in to get a few quick drinks if i grow my beard out
Yeah, but then you'd have a beard....
-
Yes, this is how they SHOULD be done. Hats off for the people that made this possible
-
I will be there for 3 of the 4 shows -- can't afford all 4, sadly... so the 15th is the one I'll be missing.
Can't wait!!!
-
Ground zero is in manhattan... it's the big hole in the middle of the financial district. You can't miss it
-
True enough. But four warmup shows in one place? I figured they'd spread em around...
Kevin
As in other cities or other NY venues??
They aren't going to pay to travel for a warm-up show. They just want one big public rehearsal studio for a couple nights B)
-
I wouldn't chance it. It's a small place and I think they'd be pretty strict about it
-
LaGuardia is the airport I use when I travel... not that it means anything to anyone, but it's easy to navigate through and it's not far from the city.
There are transportation services like SuperShuttle that you can use to get to and from the airport rather than a cab, too. They're a lot cheaper. And if you're one of those obvious tourists, I'd suggest this because cab drivers that know you don't live in the city can be assholes and really over-charge you.
-
It's not that strange. they're warm up shows... and it's been a while since Axl's been on stage and the band needs to see how it feels to play together in public. It's perfectly reasonable that they'd have a few of these in a small venue.
-
i'm broke
so if someone want to donate 2......
i'll love you forever.....
I wouldn't hold your breath on that one...
-
They won't be cancelled... come on, Axl's not an idiot. He knows he has to prove himself after the last tour and he won't kick off this one by cancelling any shows
-
nice! I was hoping that would work out for you. I felt so bad when you pmed the other day. See you there!
yes, I will go down in history as being The-Dumb-Ass-That-Deleted-Her-Original-Password
thank god they changed it and I didn't delete the second one!!!
-
I'll be there - I'll look for ya
-
15th or 17th
in 2006
BOTH!!!FINALLY IT PAYS TO LIVE IN NEW JERSEY LOL
you poor thing
-
I'm not going to risk getting kicked out, but I hope someone manages to get some footage
-
Those are broker prices... if you're lucky enough to get a ticket through ticketmaster, it's still only 63-65
-
New York is the greatest city in the world.
yep
-
does anyone else's heart beat a little quicker when they see they have a new e-mail?? I just want to know what's going on for sure.
-
Am i the only one stress out about this?
No... I'm a nervous wreck.
