  1. I'm not complaining; it's not my business what's going on in the GNR camp. I know that they don't owe me anything... However, I don't know of many bands that keep their fans in the dark and waiting like this. It's certainly not the road I would take if it were my band and I was trying to make a come-back after all these years. But again, it's not my business. I'm sure Axl & co. know what they're doing. :book:

I don't think there is any "band" input. They are like hired musiceans for Axl's comeback... The decision making is all Axl. They are not purposely hiding a release date from us. Look how many FALSE release dates there have been? Look how many psuedo-release and tenetative release dates we got from the various members of the band. If THEY don't know at this point, NO ONE knows PERIOD.

Yeah... okay... not what I was saying. Chill out.

I'm not saying they need to announce the release date, I realize there is no release date. But like someone else said a simple "we're working on the album, getting ready for the summer festivals, etc" isn't the worst thing in the world.

But like I said, it's not my business and I don't really care

  3. A little over a year ago... they were at the Roseland.

But since then they've been in the general area with Gigantour (I didn't go, so I don't remember if it was in NJ or NY, but it definitely wasn't in the city - which is why I didn't go [no transportation])

  4. :o Lucky

Yeah... last time they were in town, I had VIP All Access... I'm buddies with a guy who has pretty strong ties to the band. What can I say, sometimes I'm lucky - not all that often, but sometimes :)

  5. turn it inside out?? Half of my time in high school, I was forced to wear inside-out shirts as Band shirts were banned in my school. I'd be told to go turn it inside out and then 20 mins later, I would flip it and then another teacher would yell at me... it was on-going. Man, I hated high school

  6. I love Aerosmith... They were my favorite band as a kid. The first band I ever saw live in fact. And I've seen them a million times since and they still put on a great show. For as old as they are now, they still have a lot of energy in their performances. Anywho... I hope Steven gets well soon.

  7. heh.... I'm always pretty disappointed when the booklets don't have lyrics, too. I generally have a good ear and can figure them out on my own, but sometimes I need to read 'em and I'd rather know for sure what they are instead of trying to look them up online and see what someone else thinks the lyrics are. I also hope for some pictures along with the lyrics... I have high expectations for booklets. The worst is when there is no booklet, just a flimsy little insert.

  8. ^ He's quite intelligent... hell, he's a marketing genious. Look where he's gotten himself... you really don't think he knows what he's doing with this whole "marilyn manson" persona he's created? Cha-ching!$!$!

  9. Those guys still put on a great show...

I think there are some people should hang it up, but if the band still has energy and love for what they do - why not?
