  1. i see the similarity but the mood of the songs are completely different, and if your implying a7x stole it they didnt becuase this album came out in 2005 before the leaks and before matt even met axl

well tht version of catcher in the rye's been around since atleast 1999, so it's not COMPLETELY baseless

i can see that, but chances are slim that he'd get the song, especially since their on two different labels

  2. I hope so, and if so "congrats Brain!

I think it is true, Brain was seen buying this today, and when asked why he said "It's for my kid, kids like a lot of color".

lmfao, what if uses that on stage

  3. mtv doesnt play video's so thats were they fucked up.

    They dont?

What do they show on MTV? Rogaine and Viagra commercials or what?

Im sorry, I just dont watch TV so please ease up on me.

There is a reason why MTV stands for Music TeleVision doesnt it?

Or you mean in General they dont play GNR? I think you were going for that.

    no, they dont play vids

  4. i think the solos are ok, i never liked drum solos and pianio solos im ok with, i really enjoy fortus's solos but fincks remind me those awful sloppy as hell 20 minute solos jimmy page would do (they werent bad but excessive and sloppy). Bumblefoot's solo is pretty good too but with the past guitarists gnr have had and the solos those guys have done its hard to come over, but he'll get his groove soon. But 5 solos? c'mon, just each of them soloing in paradise city shows their talent

  5. Shut up about Finck! He's in the band because he obviously brings some talents. So what if he doesn't play the NR solo perfectly. Suck it up. He played flawlessly in NYC.

aww, i know its hard having ur husband so far away mrs. finck, but dont worry, you can suck my dick instead

    Hey man,

It's not our fault that your mom caught you jerking off on your Slash McFarlane action figure.

i wouldnt've got caught if you didnt put a webcam in my room

  7. And to think, there are people on this very forum who would entertain the suggestion that he's better than Slash or Buckethead

Slash plays with soul. He may not be the best technical player ever but he plays with passion. That's not something you can learn or be taught - it's something you feel.

Buckethead - as much as I don't like him - is a great technical player. He can shred. He doesn't play with passion, though.

Robin Finck does neither. He has no passion and no skill IMO. I'm not claiming to be a great guitar player but I hate the way he plays and at times he sounds like a very amateur guitar player trying to learn a new song. He's just very average in my opinion and his style is lame. I also hate those stupid faces he makes when he plays - there's a difference between getting into a song (Hendrix a prime example, and Slash) and seemingly orgasming to a song (Finck). I mean, he looks like he's blowing his load every time he hits a note. Not very easy to watch.

    or to listen

to me emotion is more important than anything, given finck has improven on technical talent (even tho he didnt show tonight) he still doesnt have the passion

and he aint great at writing shit either, i mean, everything he did in NIN was written by trent, trent is NIN

  8. you know jimmy page's solo in the song heart breaker? it was great but he missed so many notes it wasnt even funny, it could have been an amazing solo but th missed notes sort of ruined it

that was exactly what finck did tonight on every solo, but he almost did it on purpose, he muted notes that shouldnt be and he sounded like shit. it mighta been a coupla great solos but he fucked it up so bad

other than that it was a great show tho

  9. rir 3

btw, they didn't play madagascar at the hob

the very simple reason is that buckethead had the most amazing playing

for example, during madagascar's solo bucket's tapping his foot while playing it almost looking bored as he dows these amazing things, and it's get a view from his feet upwards, and he looks larger than life

during patience when bucket's got the accoustic axl puts his hand on bucket and bucket looks up, and right there you can tell what a great pair they could've been

but i haven't seen the video of rir 5, i'll look tommorrow

I've never been a Buckethead Head (he he) but I like during RIR 3, at the start of It's So Easy, when Axl runs down the ramp and Buckethead kinda jumps down after him - they did have a bit of chemistry on stage at times. I never really liked BH though because I could never even tell when he was playing, he just stood in the corner most of the time and really did nothing - people have said Ron is too subdued during performances but I can't recall Buckethead ever really doing much on stage in terms of movement, energy, etc.

well when you are 7 feet tall and wearing a kfc bucket on your head you dont need to do much to be noticed
