well it all depends on what now you are asking for. are you asking for an advance copy of Chinese Democracy CD or just the songs? because as soon as you can figure out the track listing of the cd, you then most likly can download it off the net. trust me, there will be people here who will have it some maybe even share it. i got the new cradle of filth cd 3 weeks before it hit shelves. thing that sucked about it was i didnt know what the mother fucker was saying!

and you are supposed to be people who should be supporting robin because he's the lead guitarist in their supposed favorite band.

Why should people support him if they don't like him?

I support Tommy, Richard, Brain, Chris and Ron as they are competant enough to replace their respected predocessors. Robin does not fufill the position he has been given. He is not Lead Guitarist material. Changing his image from Cyber Goth to Hippie Tramp was a form of selling out for me, and I do not support shit like that.

You dumb shit - Robin has ALWAYS changed his look. Over the past 10 years hes changed it about 7 times. Its part of who he is. Go look at some old pictures of him.

no he hasnt. i just looked at him. he went from punk, punk mixed goth manson style (or all fucked up), to circus freak, to now so thats like 4 but 3 of those are very hard to notice much difference. so really freak and now.

Speed is not everything. Tapping and sweep picking are actually VERY basic techniques (tapping more so then sweep picking) and just stupid gimmicks that guitarists who can't write worth shit have to depend upon.

what he's saying is that really playing fast does sound cool, its a lil technech called tremlo picking or alternate picking which is hard at first but after time is very very easy. Slayer is tremlo and thats all finck does. some poeple do it to much others now when to do it. Slash used a lot of hammar-ons a pulloffs, played fast and was clean. thats why he's better. playing a solo a bit different but throwing in thousands of notes but not getting the sound like i said is pure lazyness.

Ok, i'm a little late (i saw this when it had like 8 pages so i stayed away) but i had to see what people put and really people dont know wtf they are talking about and its really pissing me off. Is it they don't play guitar? I do and i know how hard it is learning a song and i think the reason why he "mixes the old solos with his own style" is for one reason...hes fucking lazy! the way he plays is downright horrible. yes i said it. yes he's ok at guitar, but hes no where near as good as slash is even today (yes i know slash is horrible compared to AFD days) but still tell slash to play NR or SCOM and he'll put more mixes to it then Finck will ever.

couple people say he's playing his own version of the solos and people hate him cause hes not playing all the notes that slash did. listen closely to each version and you'll hear that he plays more notes then slash at parts! The reason why i slate him so fucking much his he's killing the old shit, thats what the do mostly play at concerts.

The new material is good, maybe great even and he does a great job on those style of songs. He plays them live great, but he MUST work on the old songs. People dont know about him still and if he wants to make a name for himself, play the fucking solos how they were written! And yes i do know for a FACT that no one knows he's the main man in GnR now. I was listening to 97.9 (loop {chicago based radio station}) and the DJ said axl AND BUCKETHEAD. i tried callin in to correct him but didnt get threw. Now these loyal GnR fans who want to hear these classics played how they are remembered and who dont know theres a new gnr will be pist if they hear some guy that runs around in a skirt attempt to spice them up, and hes changing them up so much that they are no longer the same song, people will be pist.

so why people slate him.

A) Because the way he plays the old songs, they sound too different for most taste

B) Indeed, he isn't slash so people resent him but thats not the main reason

C) He's the worst out of the 3 guitarists yet he's the one playing lead.

i wish the new gnr still had that type of sound because thats why most of us are on this board, because we liked that era of gnr. i think axl is trying to make them sound like a NiN sound mix with the old gnr and some mode alt.

emo seems like a post punk movement that really started in the late 80s but really just started gaining mainstream popularty. Im sure you've seen those dudes that have jet black hair covering one eyes and they always seem sad plus they wear girls pants, thats the emo style. alot of them slit their wrists and its probably one of the WORST treands out there.

i no its kinda late, but its probably the last thing gnr would ever make. I highly doubt that was said right. Doom metal is basicly gothic metal. It has either extremely high pitched vocals or extremely low vocals. It uses an oragan alot to get a depresssing sound. It has a lot of thrash style guitar rifts and alot of double bass in it. I like that type of metal so that will be intresting to hear (tho very weird). Cradle of Filth is somewhat like doom but a lighter version.

I'm not going to flip on you, but the fact that you complain about the price and that you see them as a cover band is dumb. Concerts are about the experience. Not to mention you claim to be a "gnrfan4life." So, either you don't consider this band GNR and you're whining for no reason whatsoever, or you're not willing to see your favourite band for $75. Either way, that's a shite excuse.

first off, yea experience, but to see 2 bands (one no name band) and one band riding on the fame of a previous version still doesnt seem worth 75 dollars. o and i made "gnrfan4life" when i fist got into GnR and i knew nothing of the band. i think even made it when i thought slash was still in the band. and my favorite band broke up back in 94

i was at work bored as hell wanting the loop to play a block of GnR and i started thinking about something. Now everyone can agree (axlleet or slashleet) that axl is unpredicable. Going to see Axl, you don't know what to expect. So, what if this is a repeate of 02, but with one changing factor...he lays GnR to rest. What do you think would happen with the CD tracks? i know this is very unlikly at this point, but like i said you never know with axl.

I thought i was going to go and all, but then i looked at the prices. 90 bucks for good seats is too much for me (im 16). really i saw the live web cast and im good. ill wait till the reunion concert

ok well heres why i feel what i feel at this point

in 02, axl PROMISED release dates and release dates for tours/CD, yet no CD and a cancled US tour after the Europen tour went fine. so far this is a mirror version of 2002, leaks, false promises, and a smooth lineup. im very nervous, with little word from the company. take VR for example, they already are talking about the cd and its not even made, not recorded, but still updates are given to US. if you dont like VR, then take Cradle Of Filth (black-metal band if you dont know them), Dani would have updates every 2 weeks or so, and a month before the cd, you knew it was there. with this cd, we know nothing really. we dont even know what songs are on the CD for sure. sure, band mates say its over, but didnt other band members use to talk about it?

i know im being very negitive, but really, this isnt like any other band. We're dealing with Axl Rose here. any other band you most of the time have an idea whats going on. With him, you dont even know if your going to see him 5 minutes before he steps on stage. this is why im very much nervous about the tour.

they cant do what your talking about yet, if your downloading from itunes, then you could dl from any file sharing program. plus, everyone knows that the first leaked version is gonna be found on this forum.
