That’s true, but Myles is touring his solo album currently as well. It would seem a bit strange for him to drop that to tour a new Slash album only to get back on the solo tour for a random couple of shows before getting straight back to Alter Bridge.

I’m very possibly wishful thinking though - I accept that!

You need to check out some Alter Bridge. Blackbird in particular for some incredible Myles Kennedy stuff. I’d agree he is a bit generic with Slash but on his own stuff, there isn’t a better vocalist out there.

I’ve found it pays to look at what Myles Kennedy is doing for clues about GNR’s plans. The second half of 2022, Myles is recording a new Alter Bridge album. Evidently his solo tour is going on until then as he’s just been announced to be playing Download festival. Could it be that the SMKC album has been postponed due to the new Guns record? I’m honestly not seeing any room in the schedule for SMKC from either camp and the only way, IMO, Slash wouldn’t be touring and releasing an album with them would be if Guns had their own album plans and that became priority.

Myles can sing circles around present day Axl. There’s no debating it. He doesn’t have Axls presence though. I think a duet between the two would actually be something special.

Good grief, no more covers - I could go to my local if I wanted to see a band butcher a few cover songs. How about a few GNR songs? Radical suggestion I know…

It beats Rhiad and Scraped. They are the most abominable songs in the GNR catalogue for me.

New Gojira and new Myles Kennedy albums. Polar opposites but both are fire!

Minimum effort, maximum financial reward. Close topic.

Whoever mixes these can’t have functioning ears. A decent mix would help a lot.

Didn't CD come out around the same time as Black Ice though? Also Metallica released Death Magnetic around that time - no-one was concerned about stepping on toes then.

The one thing that gives me hope for GNR being Slash’s focus is that Myles Kennedy’s next project is more solo material that he’ll want to tour. That as well as Alter Bridge’s tour being unfinished business doesn’t leave much room for SMKC and implies that Slash will be committed elsewhere for a long while.

People hating on Myles, yet Classic Rock magazine just awarded Alter Bridge’s Blackbird the 3rd best song of the 21st Century. Axl can only dream of making that kind of impact today.

This is not bad by any stretch. I’m really enjoying it and I’m not going to criticise when things are clearly moving in the right direction.

Metallica have delivered the goods again today. Entire pro-shot Manchester concert from last year. Absolutely epic as it’s pissing it down! No excuse for GNR. 

Scraped is the only CD song I can’t bear to listen to. Just shit.
