I'd add "In Loving Memory" to the awesome lists above. The song that sold me on them. Written by Tremonti after his mother died and utterly heartbreaking.

Avenged Sevenfold is the shit. Been a fan for a long time, and saw them first time in Nottingham last month. Wish they toured with GNR, they suit more.
Cool, I was at that show too! Thought they were incredible.

Clearly not for Izzy Stradlin, else he'd be on this tour. Hence my initial post - respect to Izzy.

What reunion tour is not a cash grab?
One where they share the "loot" FIVE ways would be a good start...

Really makes me respect Izzy. Do it properly or not at all. Clearly a big cash grab for Slash and Duff.

Axl's Cher t-shirt is waaaaay more cringey than Duff's One Direction shirt...

Re: Duff in The One Direction shirt. Maybe, just maybe the guy's a a mature adult treating his (extremely supportive) wife to a show she'll enjoy and enjoying himself, being in the moment because the alternative is being a miserable git who sucks the fun out of life?

Fuck, Axl is owning tonight! ?

Izzy NEEDS to be brought back this year, whatever it takes.

Bowie - Blackstar
Gojira - Magma
Metallica - Hardwired... To Self Destruct
Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage
Tremonti - Dust
All incredible albums.

Would love Alter Bridge. Steel Panther would make a cool opener too.

London's just a pain in the arse to get around. It's too expensive for Christmas month so I guess I'm hanging on for a possible Manchester show. If it's 2018, so be it - at least there may be new songs by then.

Nope, because it would implode again. The drug taking and drinking and general fucked-upness of Slash and Duff is as much to blame as Axl's attitude and tardiness for the original break-up.

This album is a flat out masterpiece for me. Master Of Puppets skull-fucking Dark Side Of The Moon!

The song The Last Hero is a proper epic in an album packed with them. Great stuff, makes you wonder what Myles gets out of the Conspirators when his main band is this insanely good.
-
Loved it - back to the A7X City Of Evil sound and, thankfully, a million miles from HTTK.

I post on an Alter Bridge forum from time to time - love the band but, man, their fanboys are cringey, humourless fucks!

Loving the new album. Kennedy and Tremonti are a dream team in the same way Axl and Slash are. There was no topping Fortress, but this is easily my second favourite album of theirs. So versatile from heavy as hell songs to beautiful melodic ballads. Alter Bridge are one of the best bands around right now.

Apart from you find yourself walking through walls for an eternity while people are masturbating?
Which is why it's odd that Kelly Brook hasn't seen loads of ghosts, right? I'd be haunting her and Natalie Dormer regularly!

It would be a relief to see a ghost really. Afterlife confirmed, no need to fear death.

I've never been that arsed really. When you think about it, every house of a certain age has seen people die in it, and he seems happy enough so I doubt he is the product of some crime or tragedy.
This by the way is my favourite ghost story, The Metheringham Lass,

I literally live right near there. One time Richard and Judy came to do an exorcism of that ghost. Daytime tv, eh?

Love me some Myles/Alter Bridge, but no!

I voted for Snakepit Ain't Life Grand. However, if the solo Axl record AKA Chinese Democracy was on there I would have voted that - I'ts an awesome record, just not a GNR record.

I'm honestly flummoxed about the Gilby hate here. It is one of the things I just don't understand (about many of you here). Gilby is the guy playing those massive shows during their commercial peak - it was Gilby at the Paris PPV and in the November Rain video! He is bona fide old era. He was there before Axl took everything over and destroyed the band. His first solo album is a brilliant little album, head and shoulders above Snakepit and Axl's overdubbed mess.
And he is hardly an offensive character - in fact, he is one of the more likeable band members. He is simply this Stonesy chap.
Maybe it is that I personally have a cut off point, a perceived seismic fault line, in GN'R history whereby everything that came before c.1994 was gold, and everything after 1994 after absolute wank. There is simply no way I could ever rate somebody like Fortus above somebody from the 1985-93 era. I just basically see everything commencing 1999ish fake cack.
I guess it comes down to when it wasn't a band anymore for me. Gilby kinda arrived just as it was becoming a bloated circus for me. It was no longer 5 brothers against the world - It was 3 family feuders with a couple of hired hands, a horn section, a pianist and Teddy Zigzag... Meh, Gilby doesn't represent old Guns for me. The Illusion albums were the death knell.

Every single Alter Bridge album is great though, vastly superior to Slash & The Conspirators imo.
