Still has Mickey Mouse. It's not 'good.' The band is good, nay the band is GREAT. Axl needs to cut the shit with the mickey mouse voice.

Axl's voice doesn't have rasp at all right now. He'll do it occasionally then go right back the mickey mouse voice.

It's 2002 all over again. Axl isn't going to take this shit. In 2006-2010 Axl was getting the benefit of the doubt, for which he was putting on awesome shows. Now everyone's insulting the hell out of him...I'm concerned.

Not for nothing, even though this topic isn't getting much attention...I wanna say after rewatching it... DJ Ashba's solo deserves more credit. That was incredible and proves to me, that if Guns does not live on with Axl (which I doubt will happen but everyone else seems to consider it) I'd love to see the current band create some music.

I'd be willing to bet Axl wanted to do this and other songs but because of the weather he had to significantly cut down on the setlist.

Going back and rewatching the whole show, I have to say, Axl looked hurt. He looked like he couldn't help it. I think the rain disoriented him and knowing that it was a global live broadcasted event...like what the fuck can he do? He had to play no matter what, so he did his best and that fucked with him. Axl Rose can't catch a break man. It could've been worse I guess. I just hope the mickey mouse voice isn't permanent.

Think about it guys. He went out there and was in a great mood. He was having fun, even though he knew he couldn't dance or anything (which he wanted to do). Maybe that's why he had the mickey mouse voice? He uses the rasp when he's tired perhaps. I dunno. But then when he forgot the lyrics on This I Love it was kind of a joke to him, he knew "alright we move on. It was one thing. whatever." But then he started having fun again and on November Rain he changed it to Brazilian Rain and laughed. He messed up the lyrics and he was like "fuck, this is bullshit. I messed up. Gotta move on now..." And finally Patience...the final straw for him. "I've got no patience."

I sympathize for him. I couldn't do it, and he did much better than I ever could.

No. Axl's voice was a bit pitchy for the four '09 shows, but still had the same overall tone for the rest of that tour. For this show, he's got Mickey Mouse back...not sure how he's going to completely lose that and sound like this which is fucking awesome:

Yeah it was a fucked up show, but it makes me and everyone else incredibly wary. If this is what he's going to do on the grandest stage, what's he going to do or rather not do at smaller venues?

I was going to upload the entire show in 1280 x 800 resolution but my Macbook Pro ran out of disc space around the two hour mark (Yeah, 18 gigs were left before recording, my fuck up). I hope someone else captured a high quality version.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Tommy was trying to let Axl know that he hasn't practiced the songs in a 'fucking year' to sort of comfort him in an odd way.

I wanted to go to the Worcester, MA show pending that Axl was in top shape like he was in 2010, but i'm talking to a bunch of my friends on Facebook who also wanted to go and after watching tonight...it's not happening. The mickey mouse voice breaks the deal. We'll see how the first few shows go but...c'mon. If it was because of the rain, fine but cut the shit.

Axl needs to rehearse because he can't be forgetting the lyrics. It wasn't JUST November Rain or Patience, those were the star ones. In various other songs he was was mumbling to get by some parts.

The Rock in Rio sound tech's didn't seem to know what they were doing.

Chinese Democracy, Better, Sorry, This I Love, Street of Dreams were the only Chidem songs played...and oh guess what, three of those five were played at the last RiR.

Now that it's out of the way. I wouldn't be so disappointed if Mickey Mouse hadn't come back. Why all of a sudden is he singing falsetto again? Did he not want to perform in the rain? Because that's understandable.

I never thought that these words would come from me...I'm incredibly disappointed. I guess it's not ALL Axl's fault...he was having fun in the beginning but I'm pretty sure they told him he couldn't go on because of the rain so they shortened the setlist by a lot. I mean look at all of the shit that was left off.

I've noticed, the underlines mean that the band stops for a minute and Serj talks to the crowd. Perhaps the underlines on the Guns N' Roses setlist means Axl stops and talks to the crowd as well.
