I hope there's a blu-ray release. And I REALLY hope there's SOME footage from the Foxboro show, just because it would be cool to own something like that from a show I went to.
-
For everyone going tonight, have a fucking blast! It was the greatest show I've ever seen last night.
-
Seeing the show live in person was a whole different situation compared to watching a stream or something. I just woke up a little bit ago and I wish I was going again tonight. I hope they come back to Gillette someday, I'll go for sure. I've uploaded my footage of Coma. I've got Estranged recorded as well but I'll have to upload it a bit later.
EDIT
Here's Estranged

Just to interject here, as much as I love Catcher in the Rye and There Was A Time...if I had to choose between those two and them playing Breakdown or Locomotive live...I'd pick Breakdown or Locomotive.

I just got in. That was the greatest fucking event I've ever been to in my life. I've been a Guns fan since I was an infant, I mean, in my parent's home movies of me as a little toddler I was dancing around to Don't Cry. I love this band. Driving up to Gillette and seeing them was everything I wanted and more. I got there pretty early and walked around Patriot Place hoping to simply get food and some merch (so I could walk the lithograph back to the car before the show). Then I heard Catcher in the Rye at soundcheck. I know that people aren't a huge fan of the song, but it's one of my favorites. I was hoping it would be played but it's all good. So then we got there and headed to the seats. It was great. Even in the 300's the view wasn't bad at all. If they ever come back to Gillette I am 100% getting floor seats though.
I'm not a big Lenny Kravitz fan (not that I don't like him, I just don't really know much of his music outside of American Woman and Fly Away. He came on when people were still filing in (the arena was maybe a quarter to half full?) and he played AWESOME. Lenny is great live. His songs sound like what I've heard on the album. And I enjoyed the music I was unfamiliar with. The PA went out for a bit during his set but they got it worked out.
Then the wait for Guns. Because of the curfew we assumed they'd be on before 8:30 which turned out to be correct. It's funny, being in the 300's I could KIND OF see the road leading into the Stadium for patrons and then I saw an SUV pull up and a few people walk out and I said, "There's Axl!" and sure enough, they went right on stage. Everything was fucking great. Axl's voice was on point and I don't know how it sounded to you guys but when there were points of what I assume are "Mickey Mouse" in person you can't really hear that because of the balancing. It sounded god damn perfect to me. Even Sweet Child O' Mine which is usually a song I don't give a fuck about sounded great. The fans in attendance near me kept shitting on the Chi Dem songs which was shitty, and I love the Chinese Democracy stuff, but it's whatever.
The set list is perfect in my eyes. There's a lot of high energy and soft power in a good balance. I wouldn't change much, maybe take out a song and replace it here and there but it's fine for me. If I didn't get the same songs as another show I'd be kind of disappointed. I like what they're doing.
I would definitely go to another GN'R show, but like I said, I'd rather be on the floor. Level 300 was fine but I want to be closer.- 11

Catcher in the Rye is one of my favorite GN'R songs. Hearing it at sound check was dope. Hoping it's played tonight! Merch truck is cool, picked up the Litho

I can't believe I'm seeing Guns N' Roses today. I'm level 300 but I don't even care, and I'll likely end up asking the box office if there are ANY upgrades available but I'm still over the moon excited

I'm so pumped for this show. Only two more days!

How much do these typically run for? I'm gonna try to get the one at Gillette this Tuesday, but curious how much money I should bring (assuming they don't have card readers).
-
Wow! That's a deal! If I lived closer to Chicago I'd be all over that. If that deal comes out for Gillette I may have to figure out a way to exchange my tickets...
-
Anyone know what sizes they have at the venues? Hoping to get a 2X or 3X shirt when I go in July
-
All of those dope periscopes seemed to be from the floor or lower levels. I have this horrible feeling that sitting in the balcony at Gillette I'm not gonna have a great view
-
Axl pushed himself. I think he'll know now, don't do all of those fucking tough songs in a row. Still not horrible though.
-
The voodoo child outro god damn
-
I feel like somebody told Axl, "Sing your songs as if you were singing AC/DC songs" because his voice has been on fucking point.
-
If I don't get a fucking studio version of Slash doing ChiDem songs like This I Love and Better I'll be so disappointed. Can we get a fuckin blu-ray of some of these shows?? Axl is on his fucking game too! The whole band is fantastic! This SHITS on the blu-ray we got last year
-
Lmao the fact that people are arguing about the band still...

The band sounds fantastic! I'm so happy and excited for July 19th right now. I'm listening to This I Love currently, but I have to say, the amount of fucking chatter among the crowd is pissing me off. Shut the fuck up and enjoy the song.

I'm assuming Matt Sorum isn't still with The Cult because I feel like them opening for GN'R would be huge if he was. I don't really follow his career or if he's still playing with them, but I thought like a year ago he said he was on tour with them on Jimmy Kimmel or something
-
The difference between the photos is that in one he's in an airport which everyone knows is a fucking miserable place. Waiting in lines, etc. Especially when you're sick. The other is on the streets.
-
I pray to whoever that this is released on blu-ray man
-
Woah I love that new version of Better. Holy shit

Since I've awoken today that's all I've been doing as well. The post-show feeling is a struggle
