You'd be pissed if you paid full price of $250+ given the prices they're selling at now, then really pissed if you turned up and hadn't known you were sitting on a bench!
I would be. I've seen 3 shows on the NITL tour. Both Vegas April 2016 gigs and the Arlington, TX show on August 3, 2016. That's enough for me.
Unless, there is a major shakeup (Izzy and/or Steven/Matt return/NEW album), I am done spending money on high priced GNR shows.
After listening to the Apollo broadcast and being exposed to the stale setlist yet AGAIN, I've realized I really don't care much about modern day GNR anymore....
As a die-hard fan since 1989, I can't believe I have gotten to this point....

Wow! Bleachers instead of actual seats? Is this place a high school football stadium??
For those that don't know, North American football is a religion in the southern USA...

Hopefully they will fire Frank after the amount of fuck ups on tonights show.
I would be thrilled if Matt came back for the rest of the tour! I still can't understand why Slash and Duff would ditch their long term drummer just to appease Axl. I guess the millions of dollars on the line were too alluring to stand up for Matt!

If someone could please hook me up with an UNTOUCHED 1:1 FLAC capture of the Apollo broadcast, I could remaster it using Izotope RX4 and Ozone 5 (techtuts tools) and then share it with the masses. Thank you!

If I can't convince any of my friends to go to San Antonio show with me, I am going to take Megabus from Dallas to San Antonio on the day of the gig.
The Megabus drop off spot is only 3 miles from the Alamdome. The bus will arrive in San Antonio at 2:25PM, so I'll have 4 hours to kill before the doors open.
The return trip to Dallas is at 8:15AM Saturday morning. Hopefully, Guns will perform until 1AM, so I can just hang out at a 24 hour restaurant after the show, before getting back on the bus.
If anyone is interested in hanging out before or after the show, let me know

I can guarantee you that the Apollo broadcast will be all over the internet (except DIME) in MP3 and FLAC format, on Friday morning.

The Austin crowd is too cool for GNR. Austin sucks.
I lived in Austin from March 2003-January 2016.
When it comes to rock, Austin does in fact suck!!
Too many hipsters as well as the dregs of society have moved there over the last decade...
The Austin that GNR kicked off the Skin N' Bones tour in (I was there) was a COMPLETELY different city than modern day Austin!

Mexicans love to rock. I respect that about their culture and should have married a mexican woman with a family that loved hard rock and metal.
When you think about the number of people that live in Dallas/ Fort Worth (nearly 7 million people) and population of the Houston Metro area (about 6.5 million), it's not difficult to understand why those shows were packed. San Antonio, a city that I lived in at one point in my life is a little more blue collar and has a fraction of the number of people. I think Bexar county has about 1.6-1.8 million and a significantly lower median household income than Dallas or Houston. I'm not that surprised to see that the show at the Alamodome isn't selling great. It's a big stadium. I used to go to Spurs games there in the early 2000's and the place seemed weird for a basketball game.
I concur, I grew up in South Texas, the entire region is economically depressed. I can't see the blue collar crowd forking $300 over for a GNR ticket. I did notice that they cheapest tix are virtually sold out.
I think promoters are depending on fans from Austin to Northern Mexico to buy tickets.
-
I've listened to GNR radio for 105 minutes this morning.
I can't take these overplayed, cliched, non-GNR songs any longer!
As I mentioned last night, if a complete show from the golden era ends up being broadcast, please PM me immediately!
Otherwise, I am out until the Apollo broadcast.
Thank You!

That isn't terrible considering the ticket prices and the size of the place.. It should be sold out but they are just greedy.. The same if not more money will be made by selling less tickets at a higher price. The Boston show in October has sold about the same percentage of tix and that is only an arena.. Again, would have been sold out if the prices weren't so crazy
$150 plus fees should be the top price for the USA shows. $300 for the same old 2016 show and lineup is not worth it a second time around, unless you are Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich!

GNR sold considerably well in Texas last year, both Arlington and Houston were near capacity
That was the first round of dates. I believe every casual fan in Texas who wanted to see Guns, saw them in 2016.
I was surprised to see AT&T Stadium completely packed for GNR last year.
That place is HUGE!
The San Antonio 2017 show is not selling well. I am going to attempt to attend/tape this show, if I can find someone to go with me, or at least meet me in in San Antonio.
Check out the interactive seating chart: https://www1.ticketmaster.com/guns-n-roses-not-in-this-san-antonio-texas-09-08-2017/event/3A005181CA46508A?artistid=735218&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1

Guns N' Roses changed they GN'R logo to the classic GN'R logo in COLOR... plus they title picture :
Maybe the classic five will hit the stage?
I hope
The 2017 USA tour is not selling well at all. None of my rocker friends are interested in paying the high price to see GNR in Texas.
A reunion of the original five would be enough to sell out the USA dates.
The Apollo would be the perfect place to debut the true GNR reunion.
As an American, I believe the USA 2017 tour is COMPLETELY unnecessary....
The NITL tour should have ended with the Israel show, so that the band could take a break and then record a new album in 2018!
Quite frankly, we don't need anymore live dates if the setlist and band lineup will be identical to what was unveiled in April 2016....
I have a feeling the Sirius/XM channel's sole purpose is to sell the USA tour.

I'm back. However, I don't have the patience to log the playlist.
Has anything interesting been played other than One In A Million and Get In The Ring?
Any Poison or Bon Jovi yet??
GNR radio comes off as a mix of Classic Rewind and Ozzy's Boneyard with a strong dosage of Guns N' Roses music.
-
Below are the first 70 songs played on GNR Radio.
I'm calling it a night. If anyone would like to continue cataloging the playlist, please be my guest.
If GNR radio airs a complete concert from the archives any time over the next 7 days, please send me a PM ASAP!
I'd rather just listen to my album collection than keep up with the Sirius/XM GNR channel.
Thank you.

How is this "their audience". Seemingly it would be less their audience than any as almost all the ticket holders except what 10? will have recd their tickets from Sirius b/c they are some sort of nebulous "elite" member that may not even give two shits about GnR
I bet whoever won the Sirius/XM contest is a friend or family member of a high ranking Sirius/XM employee. That's usually how it goes with radio contests....

I don't know how many more of these stale classic rock songs I can take!! UGH!!

Just make a number up using the format I've provided.

No. And I am checking everyday. There were 2 rows right behind the pit on Duffs side for sale and then one day just gone! I know all those 14 super pricey tickets were not sold in one day. There were decent floor seats for 250 awhile back and I should have gotten them then, but was hoping to get in the row right behind the pit. So it looks like my floor seat will be further than I thought. And it's selling so poorly! Don't get why they aren't discounted yet.
I suggest holding out. Don't give in yet! I believe the rows of tickets that magically disappeared will reappear at a lower price a few weeks before the show. Please don't give in. There will be a ticket blowout for the San Antonio show soon. I just have a feeling about this.
Last year prime seats for shows were made available at $250 or less a few days before each gig. The top "standard" ticket price for the El Paso show is $155 including fees: https://www1.ticketmaster.com/event/0C00517ED1233A1B?brand=gnr&camefrom=CFC_GNR_grid_905
The demand in West Texas is very soft, so prices have dropped accordingly. All we need is a little patience!!
-
Has anyone noticed any ticket deals for the San Antonio show?
I am still hoping to attend the gig. However, my friends have been turned off by the high ticket prices...
-
Lower level seats near the stage have dropped down to $150 (plus fees). I am holding out for a 2 for 1 deal.

I'm aware of this. Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, and Van Halen are famous for delivering the same show every night. I remember back on the Illusion tour when every show was a unique spectacle of no-holds-barred hard rock. I caught the Houston show on September 4, 1992 and the Austin gig on February 23, 1993 and both performances were completely different. I hope the fall 2017 tour is drastically different from the current show. Perhaps, Skin N' Bones revisited? That would work for me!
