  1. The Story mode is around 3 hours, depending on your skill level.
However, Shredder's Revenge is not really about the story. The fun factor revolves around the insane multi-player co-op action.

Check out some 5-6 player Shredder's Revenge videos on Youtube, the game gets very wild with that many people on one team.

I should mention that the Switch version of Shredder's Revenge seems to move a little slower than its Steam or Playstation counterparts, but is still a lot of FUN!

  2. I have been having a blast with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge over the last week. Definitely the game of the year, IMO. If anyone would like to play online, ping me and we'll set something up. I have Shredder's Revenge for the PS4/Switch/Steam. I triple dipped because the game is THAT good! I am usually available during the evenings, USA Central time.  If you're a 16-bit era kid like me with an appreciation for old school side scrolling fighters, you will likely love Shredder's Revenge!

  3. I wanted to mention that I received the Switch OLED one month ago and am really enjoying it. As a die-hard Playstation guy, I now understand why the Switch has been so popular for nearly 5 years. My current favorite game is Super Mario Odyssey. Ultra Street Fighter 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe are a lot of fun too! I was able to get the Switch OLED for $283 using some discounts. Ironically, the cost of a single, no frills, lower level GNR ticket is around $280-$300. IMHO, the Switch OLED is the far superior value. I am pleased with what I received for the same price as 1 GNR ticket! :D

Like others have said, I am still flying high from the show last night.  Here are a couple of my takeaways/ review:

-Axl was in a great mood all night; a ton of crowd interaction and genuinely felt like he was giving 110%.  A couple pages back someone made a point about the reverb within the arena tends to scoop out some of the highs and lows of the EQ which makes his vocals sound more passable, but as far as I could hear from my location, he absolutely crushed it last night.  We have to still give him shit that he missed his queue in the Jungle outro though!

-Slash is on another level, too many highlights to mention, but thought it was very cool that he just sat down on a monitor during his guitar solo and went absolutely apeshit.  This is my third time to see the band since NITL started and he was more interactive with the crowd and put on a killer performance.

-Fortus' playing is rather impressive; I was actually into RQ this time around but KOHD did get pretty monotonous since it feels like the song stretches 45 minutes.

-The band was going crazy playing Absurd - Axl kicked it up a notch and Slash was noticeably throwing down while playing it.

-I understand the setlist disappoints many here and sure it would be great to hear a proper version of Dead Horse, So Fine, PTU, Locomotive, etc., but all in all, it is a damn good setlist.  GNR rocked out for 3 hours last night and I'll never complain about that.

All in all the easiest way for me to sum it up is this - being in the pit at a GNR show with Axl, Slash & Duff is truly one of my happy places.  I will never turn down a GNR show if it is remotely in my geography and I sincerely hope they are back in Texas sooner than later.  It is an absolute treat to watch this band live.  I was slightly too young to catch them during UYI, so it was a long wait to get to 2016- Present, but I think all is great in the GNR world and I'm super optimistic that we're going to see new music sooner than later.  This band is too good not to put out new material.

Can't get this link to embed in my post but caught couple great shots of Axl on the piano next to Slash.

I'm glad you were able to get into the pit and had a blast!!!

What was the mask/vaccination status situation like? I assume most masks came off once people got into the arena.

I am at peace with missing last night's GNR show. Don't feel like I missed out on something I haven't seen multiple times before.

I feel that I have aged out of concerts in general and COVID pushed me further in the direction of giving up concerts altogether.

As someone in their mid-40s, I am more interested in getting a goodnight's sleep than attending a rock show.

May the younger generation keep rocking! Peace!

Anyone have experience with Stubhub post concerts reopening?

i bought a ticket for the show on monday. It said it would arrive by the end of the day on the 31st, which was yesterday.

it’s 8:30am on the day of the show, and i have nothing except my confirmation email that says i payed for a ticket.

Call CS and raise hell. Stubhub has a tendency to provide poor post-transaction customer service, from my experience.

  6. Hmm. Sorry to learn this. You should also try stubhub tomorrow afternoon after 3pm. On workdays, scalpers get desperate and start slashing ticket prices as 5pm draws near. Dallas is a big money city. Perhaps, there are enough high rollers in the area to justify the high prices? Good luck! If you don't get into the show, you can wake-up on Thursday morning knowing you didn't spend Wednesday night flirting with covid-19. ;)

Decided that I’m going, I can’t miss GNR being 5 mins from my house. Hit me up if anyone wants to sell me a pit ticket!

Keep an eye on the Ticketmaster page for the show. I suggest buying on Tuesday night or anytime on Wednesday. Prices are dropping. Have a great time and be as safe as you can!

Well, last week Maroon 5 played Dallas.  They put it in their contract that every fan should show proof of being fully vaccinated or they would take a rapid covid test for $30. Unfortunately, I have a friend who went to the show and wasn't told until the last minute about this rule. Luckily he was vaccinated or it would have sucked to lose all that money.

Some guy on the news said it's not a rule for any Dallas venue to do this, but if an act puts it in their contract they will comply. The guy said in order to get some big names to tour in Dallas they would allow it.

I know livenation.com sent me an email that they would want proof of vaccinations at their concerts, but I'm doubting Dallas will do this unless the act wants it.

Even though the numbers keep going up in Dallas, a lot of people just don't care. I will go and wear a mask at all times. It'll suck, but I don't trust that most fans will be vaccinated or even know if they are positive or negative.

Some alcohol distrituters said it any venues in Dallas continued to make people show proof of vaccination they would pull their beef and wine from this venue. See how many morons only care about money and not people

If it weren't GNR I wouldn't be going to any concerts until this pandemic was over.

A week and a half now. Well, not sure how the sales are going, but if the numbers of covid keep going up, maybe it would be better to postpone this tour.

I agree with her, but I hate to miss GNR, but I'm also hoping they would postpone it or cancel the rest of the tour until 2022.  I will go if the show goes on, but I know I won't be very comfortable and I will hate that feeling.

Personally, I would consider asking for a refund on the GNR tickets. What is the point of spending all of that money for GNR tickets only to be uncomfortable during the show, and then to wake up the next morning wondering if you were exposed to the virus by random people in the crowd?!? The anxiety related to potential COVID exposure would take all of the fun out of the show for me, so I am staying home.  Stay safe! ;)

I got grounded for 6 weeks for coming home from that show very late on a school night...it was 100% worth it, amazing show! I felt bad for my other buddies who had tix for the second night.

What time did the Chicago '92 show end? The bootleg of that gig is my favorite bootleg of all time. I remember watching it for the first time in early January of 1994 and freaking out when I heard the intro to Coma. As we know, there were no internet spoilers in those days. :headbang:

The right decision was always the Switch. Enjoy!

Thanks, October 8th cannot get here soon enough!
After seeing the setlist for the "new" GNR tour, the Switch will be a MUCH better investment.
I am always up for learning about recommended Switch titles, specifically games that are exclusive to the Nintendo console.
I am looking forward to Metroid Dread!

  11. Thanks for list Oldest Goat. I am definitely interested in the 1st party Nintendo games. I have several third party games you suggest on my PS5 and they are great. Especially the Sega titles (I'm an early 90s Genesis owner). Streets of Rage 4 is awesome! The Mr. X Nightmare DLC is a lot of fun. BTW, is there a Punch-Out!! Game for the Switch?

  12. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I pre-ordered the Switch OLED. That's $378 TB and Live Nation won't be getting. :P

This will be my first Nintendo console since the N64 in 1996. I'm a Playstation guy!

Does anyone have suggestions on essential Switch accessories to pick up?

I will definitely order a Pro controller, large MicroSD card, case, and screen protector.

    What else should I get?

    Thanks!!

  13. GN'R are playing in my area (Dallas) on September 1st. I was considering going. However, after the announcement of the Nintendo Switch OLED I am considering buying the Switch OLED and skipping the GNR gig.

I have seen 4 NITL shows and the last one I attended (Austin 2019-10-11) was lame and extremely boring to sit through.

Considering that the Nintendo Switch OLED will cost $380 (incl. tax) and a single decent GNR ticket costs around $300, I feel the Switch OLED would be a better investment than a GNR ticket.
    Would anyone disagree? :D Peace!
