  1. Very well, because I do see very eye to eye with you on most other musical matters I might be more forgiveing next time an Oasis song is played around me and give it a good listen aye!

In the mean time Ill leave you with a little somthing that Noel Gallagher gave to one of my fav Mancunian singers. This is basically a reworking of the Oasis song Teotihuacan.

  2. BUMP!

Their cover of Layla is fucking amazing! songs like Accuiesque which was a fucking B side is something i think most bands nowadays can't even claim their best is that good, i think they piss over any band going right now. their album Dont Believe the Truth is fucking incredible, the importance of being idle, turn up the sun, mucky fingers, love like a bomb are totally cool, Liam is like the best character in fucking rock music today, i love how he performs, anybody else doing that would just come off as boring, he comes off intense just standing there, they're totally up there with the best and i can't wait for another album from them :) definitely maybe is up there with the best debuts of all time!

'In an interview with the BBC's Colin Paterson Noel said the songs are written and Oasis are due to start recording their seventh studio album on July 3. He added "It would be great if it was done by the end of the year and we could get out on the road by next summer, but that's insane wishful thinking." '

indeed, the boys are in the lab, i for one cannot fucking wait :)

Give it a rest Frank, people stopped giving a fuck about Oasis after their second album when it was evident they werent ever going to top them. If you like to listen to the same song ideas re-hashed over and over again whos sound was pioneered by a band over 40 years ago (the Beatles) good for you. If you want to listen to a progressive band pick up Radioheads back catalogue.

its music, not fucking celebrity squares, you dont have to out-epic each album you make with the next. and hey, once you're a fan of rock n roll you got to swallow and digest the concept of rehashing, theres only so many strings notes and chords, every bands repeating somebody, its about what you do with it and how well you do it and Oasis piss all over any band around. the beatles rip off thing is just plain bullshit, im sorry, what they make kind of three chord rock n roll, is that what they're guilty of? well shit, then they are beatles rip offs. radiohead are proressive now huh? try listening to Public Image Limited, THATS progressive, Big Black, Suicide, bands like Radiohead, REM arent really very progressive at all, they just fiddle with the sound enough to make it sound a bit collegey but not so that they cant be mainstream and make their millions. radiohead aint an alternative to shit, not even boredom. if you're gonna be out there, be out there, radiohead are like...mundane. Oasis have a spirit and a REAL talent at song writing and melody, its there, listen. each to his own though i guess :) alls im sayin is when i want experimental, i want FUCKING experimental, like the butthole surfers or Sonic Youth or Dub Reggae, like REALLY out there fucking collages of noise and sound and when i want my rock n roll i want FUCKING rock n roll like guns n roses, like nirvana, like ac/dc, like oasis, like the stones, the beatles. i dont dig this half and half noringness of Radiohead and REM.

Good reply hats off to you.

You mentioned several bands in their that I dig, love Sonic Youth, Butthole surfers are allright, not sure how REM hold a candle up to Radiohead but hey Im not familiar with their whole body of work so whatever. Still dont know why you dig Oasis though, when I compare them to GNR, AC?DC, nirvana and the stones they are simply yawnworthy.

listen to live forever, turn it WAAAAAAYY up. i dunno, i think i dig that cranked up guitars, the base yet universal poetic quality to the lyrics, melody, liams johnny rottenesque vocals, the amazing optimism they songs have and just them as a band, as people. they're 1000000% honest in the way they dress/act. they're just the complete article to me :)

Having been born and bred in Manchester and fully aware of Oasis at an early stage I'm just not that excited by them, comparing Liam to Johnny Rotten is below the belt in a big way. Live forever has no passion, sure its poetic, but it deosnt make me want to get out of my chair, in fact it kind of reminds me of background music in a pub when Im having some pints and a chat with mates. As far as honesty in the way they dress and act, sure I guess if that what you call rock and roll. How long have you liked Oasis, because my current guess is you're a bit of an anglophile going through a prolonged stage of english music dicovery, my apologies if I'm way off the mark.

  5. She went from Pop songs I don't like to Hip Hop songs I don't like.At least she dresses slutty now.:lol:
lol,, shes a really good looking women
I don't find her at all attractive. A shitload of makeup can make anyone look half-decent, shes nothing special.
I agree, shes cross-eyed to boot
Let me clarify something,.........It's R&B..........not hip hop. But I love the song "Say It Right".
Its hardly R&B, a term that has been raped throught he 90's to today to give the music masquarading behind it a sense of credibility. I hate it when people call that shitty music R&B, it can best be described as pop music.
  6. I forgot one person:

    Pete Doherty

Deffinatitly! Thats another one for me. How the hell he is banging Kate Moss??? Doesnt make sense!

Coz he's a gorgeous bad boy with an acoustic guitar?

    xDSGx

i see ugly skag head with heroin seeping out of his pores who looks like he bathed in rotting turd

    i quite like him however.

Yeah he was a knob as soon as he left The Libertines.

And for the guy who hates 50 Cent, just like me!

    You gotta love the English!

  7. Mad Season - Above

    Alice in Chains - Facelift

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour

Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Red Hot Chili Peppers

    Grateful Dead - American Beauty

These are currently my favourite albums, the list will probably change withing the next week or so.

Wow thats a rare little number you pulled out there, I dont think Ive ever heard anyone else3 talk about that album ever. i have it in my collection and think its great. Certainly not in my top five though, which are:

    Use Your Illusion II

    Physical Graffiti

    Superunknown

    What's Going On

Libertad (haha Ill throw that in for now!)

  8. Saying Oasis are under-appreciated is like saying The Beatles didnt influence music, its just not true. They topped Q's greatest songs of the century list for fuck sake.

Anyway in my opinion they are one of the most unoriginal acts to ever exist. If you want to hear a couple iof good bands to come from ym home town Manchester listen to The Stone Roses or Joy Division.

  9. i like him. he's not out there pretending like he's fucking y'know, John Lennon, he just makes these cool little tracks that suit in the club and he's a guy enjoying his wealth and making his living, can't really fault him. although that movie i got to say was SO crap. i dont know, i mean outside of the "it glorified this" or "is it a bad influence" these just seem total non-issues because the thing is like a fucking, just beyond awful. he's not the greatest rapper of all time, but he's ok y'know, for the charts, good enough to tide things over, i wouldn't go out of my way to buy any of his albums, he just seems to be like, a well rounded Tupac character without any substance. i remember first hearing him on "How To Rob" with the Madd Rapper and its such a funny song he's talking about how he's gonna rob every rapper and throughout this song he's just name checking all these rappers and talking about how he's gonna rob them and i remember thinking to myself this guy cant rap, his best bet is to be controversial but he didnt even do that well, just went into that playa/gangsta/ballin thing, whatever, good for him, dont really have a great deal of regard for him but nothing against him either so much.

Interesting comments there, kind of shows that you are quitley championing modern rap, which is an interesting stance to take. I got the impression the majority of classic rappers and DJ's are rather disillusioned with the mainstream at the moment and a lot of them have been forced underground for attempting to be innovativew, what are your views on this? Seems to me that the record industry is really bleeding this genre for its image while totally overlooking its content.

P.S. Why the subtle change in profile name?

  10. Has anyone heard this song?

Now I dont like to go around bashing genres of music that I'm not heavily into, but holy heck this song is absolute rubbish. I cant imagine what kind of person could listen to it and enjoy it. For it to be a single of any form I cant begin to think what the quality of the rest of the record is like!

I was quite a fan of rap through the 90's but pretty much after Dre's 2001 record I havent heard anything remotley progressive or decent come out of the LA scene. I dont really understand what the appeal is anymore!?!

  11. Im not as excited as I was. I expected an album by now or at least a release date. Doesnt look like it will ever come out...

    No kidding!

Back to the concert and plans of a meet up yet? Shazza Im looking at you.

  12. I prefer Brian vocals to Scott's, Brian just sounds better. Lyrics not so much but oh well if you're into AC/DC for the lyrics you're into the wrong band.

Personally I like a handful of track on this album, For Those About to Rock, Let's Get it Up and C.O.D., but for me it has more filler tracks than most Brian Johnson era Albums. If I had to Rank the Johnson era albums they'd look something like this.

    1. Back in Black (A given really very tracks a gem)

    2. Flick of the Switch (Raw and powerful without any stand out tracks but all of them are listnable)

    3. Razors Edge (Really like all the catchy tunes on this album even if it is a bit over-produced, Slade is also the best AC/DC drummer, shame he only stuck around for one record).

    4. Fly on the Wall (This record appeals to me because it doesnt take itself to seriously and has a number of catchy songs)

    5. Stiff Upper Lip (A good album on the whole)

    6. For Those About to Rock (Riding on the back of Back in Black it tries a littl too hard to impress)

    7. Ballbreaker (Probably their most experimental album but a bit of a miss for me)

    8. Blow Up Your Video (Good start but tends to fade rapidly, I do like the tune Two's Up though)

  13. you see thats why wolfmothers doing it and you're not.

Oh come on, you gonna tell me everyone that gets a record deal is better musicians than people who don't have one?

no i'm not moreblack, but are you telling me that there isn't alot of jealousy from armchair critics that didn't get record contracts and wolfmother did, zepp like these guys, yet we have self confessed led zepp fans saying they suck, or people like mike patton .....who is so desperately trying to stay relevant in todays music world please.

I quit like (probably because I love Led Zepellin) them but anyone who isn't able to admit they ripped of the Zep sound is delusional.

  14. It's pretty good but if it came down to having to listen to this or Physical Graffiti for the rest of my life, I'd be choosing the later.

See, Led Zeppelin has never done all that much for me. I like their work, but I don't love it. Most of the songs I really like are the ones that were sort of well-received but not necessarily considered their very best, like Communication Breakdown or D'Yer Maker. The really big hits like Immigrant Song and such aren't as catchy to me.

Fair enough, kinda why I like Physical Graffiti as a body of work its untouchable and most casual fans can only name Kashmir off it.

There are probably a handful of other albums I'd rather listen to forever over Raw Power, might ven include Appetite for Destuction in that Handful, and why not chuck in Whats Going On, Are you Experienced and Lodnon Calling.

Full respect for plugging an unsung album, which for me is probably the best in its genre to come out of the USA.
