See you there and have a great concert everyone!

  2. Great story Revolver! Was glad to live part it with you! You are a very cool guy to party with! Everyone appreciated your presence. I'm sure this was like a dream come true for you!

The Montreal after party was the best! We all had so much fun together there!

I agree with everything you said about Axl's close entourage being so nice, because they are.

Thanks everyone for being on topic and not derail Revolver's Canada Trip thread over the fake Slash thing, wich is yesterday's rumoured news anyway. So I ask everyone, including all admins, to keep that for the corresponding thread.

By the way, could see you on the Floor, and I have to say, I think you were the one who jumped up and down the most. And with the voice you had after the concert, you probably was the one who screamed most too! (right after Axl that is, but contrary to you his voice pas perfect after the concert). Hehe.

I could see you you were having a great time, just like all of us!

  3. Axl came out on a wheelchair? I need to see pictures/footage of this!

Oh and I hope their delay doesn't become a habbit.

I'm thinking it was a mistake to book two big shows like this back to back, plus some type of appearance at a club.

so the club musique musique rumour is true?

I don't know. I can't figure it out from what's been posted here.

The Club Muzique was official. Here's the ad... We told you before it was official in the other thread. Remember I said "admit gave me permission to mention it..."

    Here ya go... http://www.montrealguestlist.com/images/news/2010-01-23/muziquegunsroses.jpg

MicEffecT, to be clear and not to mislead anyone on the Forum, wich admin are you refering to, because I don't recall discussing the Club Muzique with you or confirming anything.

  5. Rumour threads get closed or let run depending on the rumour & if there is a credible source.

It's not black & white here because there's a strong possibility that the rumour relates to yesterday's events. So keeping it opened or closed is a matter of seing the glass half full or half empty.

In this case, what should have been done and was not would have been to edit the topic subtitle mentionning that this is an UNCONFIRMED rumour with NO SOURCE. So I did it myself..

Topic sub title has been edited as not to confuse Forum members. Guy's brother's FaceBook message does not qualify as a source. Thread closed.

Members of the moderating should really know better than to post personnal statements directed to one another. So as always, I ask all of them to keep personnal statements to PM's and to discuss any issues in the Moderator Forum.

  6. Just got back from the concert.

    What a concert it was!

From the opening to the end, this concert was non stop GNR action.

The sound system was exceptionally clear (this depends on the venues configuration), in this case it was excellent.

Axl's voice was top notch all the way to Paradise City! As mentioned before there was one or two times where the mike stopped working, normal for these things happen in live concerts.

Got to meet Axl after the concert, didn't need much introduction as he recognized me from my pic on the Forum. :-) He ended talking to everyone, which was very cool.

This is just a quick post, I'll post again about the concert later today on the train to London, after getting a few hours of sleep.

    Can't wait for London!

    Eric (admin)

The 3G wireless on the train didn't work much. So I'm posting quickly before the pre-show party (see London thread).

As many of you have already noted in the thread, Axl looked and sounded great, and was smiling a lot during the concert!

He was even having lots and lots of fun on stage; on two ocasions simulating knocking down a guitarist off stage -for pure fun and as a joke that is with a big smile on his face. I did tell Axl that I found it very funny when he did it and that the audience found it quite funny too.

I mentioned meeting Axl, but I did meet lots of other cool people, Jarmo, Vanessa, others, and especially Beta for which I've known for a while now, but never got a chance to meet before last night.

I'm out of time for now. The only thing I want to address is that concerning Axl staring to sing a bit before during Mr. Brownstone, again, this is a live show. Speaking of live Shows, London is promising to be a blast tonight.

There were many people this afternoon on the train to London heading out to see GNR and were all totally hyped for tonight's concert and full of energy!

  7. fitz rays is right across the street. it's pretty good, it's usually where we go before a concert to "get primed" and avoid the $10 beers at the JLC.

    http://www.fitzrays.com/

the name of this place seems to change from time to time, but always a bar, fr's has been the name for a while now though;)

Pre-show GT = @Fitz Rays at 7:30PM (we will be there till 9:45 PM).

This may be last minute, there is already many forum members confirmed to be present as we all met on the train to London (including Revolver).

Here's a pic of the coat I'll be wearing, as this is probably the best way to gather cause there will be lots of people. So come and say hi to us!

Last night's pre-show party in Hamilton was awesome! Met many fun Forum members from all over!

*Note to self : Bring a GNR CD's to future pre-show party in case bar does not have any. ;-)
