  1. Isn't it time for another single yet? You're A Lie has been out forever now. A new single to help promote the tour would be great. Anyone heard anything?

Standing in the Sun is the current single.

really, they arte still playing "You're A Lie" around here quite a bit buit I haven't heard that.. Interesting.

  2. Which would you rather see Slash do? Keep the Conspirators together as is, reunite Velvet Revolver, create some kind of hybrid band using members of the Conspirators and VR (Myles, Slash, Duff, Dave, Matt for example) or do something completely new? Personally I say keep the Conspirators together. They're a great band (especially live) and they give Slash the freedom to do whatever he wants while in turn receiving exposure to the world. It's been stated by former members that VR was never intended to be anything more than a cashgrab, so I'm not really interested in a reunion. Duff is awesome by all means, but to me Todd Kerns is just as important a part of The Conspirators as Slash and Myles are, so I wouldn't want to create a "hybrid band". Maybe bring Izzy in if he's interested, but that's about it.

I agree with you on almost every point. Velvet Revolver may have had some stronger songs but these guys have some great ones too. It is all about the live show for me and these shows are waayyyy better than VR shows. Slash can be Slash again and it is kicking ass. They can also play a wider variety of GnR tunes which is great, VR just couldn't pull off Rocket Queen. I would love to see Duff involved but Todd's vocals are huge. Izzy would be a dream come true and I bet he would actually have a blast with this band. They should seriously try and get him involved somehow. I wouldn't mind seeing Steven in there too. In a perfect world I would like to see Duff, Slash, Izzy, Myles and Steven tour the world and kick everyone's ass but Slash and the boys are doing a fine job.

Though Contraband was great, Libertad was truly horrible

    I liked Libertad more!! :)

  3. I think it's sad how most of the GnR fanbase thinks that they have to take a side. There's the Axl nutswingers and the Slash fanboys. What happened to just being a GnR fan? Has that gone? I guess so.

I respect Axl for giving us his side of the story, but all it has done to the fans is giving them an excuse to say "yea Axl rules, Slash fucking sucks!" The fans are more divided than ever now, and most of them seem to be going towards Axl words, I think simply because he is on the forums.

I need to make one thing clear though, just to make sure you guys realise this: Without Slash, there would be no Axl. Without Axl, there would be no Slash.

The thing that gets me is that whoever doesn't agree with Axl is a "Slash fanboy". I see it happen over and over. Why not call them a Duff or Izzy fanboy?

  4. To all the haters: why the fuck do you even still come here? This is a GN'R forum. If you don't like GN'R anymore, then why spend time in this forum? Don't you guys have anything else to spend your time with?!?

    cupcakes ...

Because we are Guns N Roses fans... Just because we think Chinese Democracy is a joke doesn't make us any less of a Guns N' Roses fan. If Chinese Democracy wasn't released as a Guns record this wouldn't be like this.. Just deal with it.

I would say that all the Axl nutswingers that would constantly ruin threads on the VR section were worse. If they werent VR fans they shouldn't be there. I am a Guns N' Roses fan so I will continue to post here.

  5. One of the best post since a while.

Axl, just please stop making all negative comments about the old line-up and all positive comment about the ´current line-up´.

Please, just remeber that you became famous WITH those guy´s: if you wouldn´t have been in a band with Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven, than there wouldn´t have been a GN´R forum and people would have never heard of you (atleast not the way, you are recognized know)

I agree, this was a good post.

Axl is just telling the truth.

Axl speaks and it is a fact? I find it hard to believe that anyone told Axl that he couldn't have any input in the writing process for Guns..

This whole thing seems like a desperate move.. Most Guns fans didn't accept Chinese Democracy and a GnR record.. Now Axl has to go out and try to win fans back and convince them this is still Guns...

  6. I do enjoy my life... I am just very passionate about music and Guns N' Roses... I must be if I still give a fuck 15 years later. Does my opinion matter? Not really. But it is the opinion of a Guns N' Roses fan. To each is own.

I saw "GnR" in 2002 also and it wasn't all that. Axl gave 110% and it was good to see him again but overall the show was weak. We left early along with alot of other people.

  7. It is unreal how many two faced people there are here.. All that ass kissing was sickening. There are ALOT of people that don't agree with what Axl is doing right now. They post here all the time.. Where were they?

I do give Axl props for chatting with the fans..

I don't give Axl props for releasing CD as a Gn'R record. It is just a slap in the face to millions of fans and his old bandmates. Axl doesn't = Gn'R, Ozzy doesn't = Sabbath, Plant doesn't = Zeppelin. This band is so far from what GnR was that it makes no sense.

  8. I was at the Music store the other day and found a cool Japanese Imnport for 2.99. It had Yesterdays, November Rain, the live Yesterday's that they uses for Live Era and a real old Knockin On Heavens Door from the Marquee Club. Definatley worth 3 bucks!

  9. ALICE COOPER Guitarist KERI KELLI Issues Update - Apr. 10, 2008

Guitarist Keri Kelli (ALICE COOPER, ex-SLASH'S SNAKEPIT, ADLER'S APPETITE) has posted the following message on his web site:

"I've added new photos from the Australian, New Zealand, and Japanese tour. Also, some dates of upcoming appearances with my brother Jani Lane, as well as Alice and Slash! More [ALICE COOPER] 2008 dates are always coming in, so check back for the most recent additions.

"Things are progressing in regards to the new COOP CD. I've heard several tentative release dates but nothing in stone yet.

"The SAINTS OF THE UNDERGROUND CD will be available on Tuesday, April 22nd at all your Wal-Mart, Best Buy music retailers (to name a few) as well as online giants iTunes, Amazon, etc. This project also features Lane (WARRANT), Bobby Blotzer (RATT) and Robbie Crane (RATT).

"In the merch section, I've also added a few new 'Pearl' and 'Glow-In-The-Dark' picks to the collection. Go check 'em out!"

ALICE COOPER recently signed a deal with Steamhammer/SPV. Autumn 2008 will see the arrival of Cooper's eagerly awaited new studio album, which the legendary singer began recording in February. Tentatively titled "Along Came A Spider", the CD is being co-produced by Greg Hampton and Danny Saber in Los Angeles.

Cooper interrupted the current studio production for March shows in Australia, New Zealand and Japan, and plans extensive touring later in 2008 covering Europe, Canada, and the USA. His band features longtime drummer Eric Singer, guitarists Keri Kelli and Jason Hook, and bassist Chuck Garric.

Alice's "Nights With Alice Cooper" syndicated classic rock radio show continues to air Monday through Friday on 90 stations throughout North America plus outlets in Australia, Ireland, the UK, and other countries.

The paperback edition of Cooper's "Alice Cooper, Golf Monster: A Rock 'N'Roller's 12 Steps To Becoming A Golf Addict" book is scheduled to hit stores in May.

"Golf Monster" is a pull-no-punches account of Alice's life, and it deals candidly with his alcohol problem, which almost ruined him at the height of his fame in the '70s.
