  1. Yeah, it's a shame Izzy isn't more active. Have to disagree about Snakepit, the hardcore fans at the shows know the songs. And I really think Slash picks the wrong songs to play from Snakepit, more off of ALG is needed, and why no What Do You Want To Be? Or Neither Can I or Take It Away or Back And Forth Again or Monkey Chow.... and Dime Store Rock has only been played once.

I agree that the hard core fans know the Snakepit songs but the majority of the people don't. I knew them all! ;) They were just meh for me. It seems to me that he plays more of ALG. Just Like Anything (which I really don't like), Mean Bone (ok live), Been There LAtely (ok live) and the highly over rated Serial Killer (sorry)... Didn't they play Speed Parade too? I wouldn't mind seeing more of IFOS though. Neither Can I like you said would be good. I like that album.. I just think that is a Slash thing.

If Slash did something with Izzy I would just want it to be balls to the wall energy all night!! Mostly Guns with a few of their other big songs.. Just one assholes opinion...

Would like them to do some blues or Stones covers too.

  2. Could be cool, liked seeing Shuffle It All in there. Would like to see some more Izzy solo stuff though, and Snakepit. Cool idea though, that would be a great tour.

I have the Snakepit stuff and really liked the first album but to be honest the songs are bore me live for the most part. Defiantely the low point of the setlist during the Slash shows for me. And from the crowd reaction, I would say most of them too. Just my opinion though ;)

I just wish Izzy would get off his ass. There are alot of people out there that would love to see him tour.

  3. I don't know about anyone elase but if there is never going to be a Guns reunion, a tour with Slash and Izzy could be almost as cool.. Don't you think this would be a pretty bad ass setlist? Izzy could sing a bunch of songs also with Myles helping out with some choruses and backups.

1.)It's So Easy (Izzy & Myles)
    2.)Ghost (Myles)
    3.)Nightrain (Myles)
    4.)Brownstone (Myles)
    5.)Out Ta Get Me (Myles)
    6.)Think About You (Izzy)
    7.)Fall To Pieces (Myles)
    8.)Sweet Child (Myles)
    9.)Back From Cali (Myles)
    10,)Shuffle It All (Izzy)
    11.)Dust N' Bones (Izzy)
    12.)Civil War (Myles)
    13.)You're Crazy (Myles)
    14.)Used To Lover Her (Izzy)
    15.)Patience (Myles)
    16.)Knockin On Heavens Door (Myles)
    17.)14 Years (Izzy)
    18.)Anatstasia (Myles)
    19.)Double Talkin Jive (Izzy)
    20,)Slither (Myles)
    --ENCORE----
    21.)Rocket Queen (Myles)
    22.)Paradise City (Myles)

  4. Yea, I prefer slash/myles to VR for all those reasons - would be nice if myles would just say fuck and front them as well - and replace dave w either gilby or izzy for that matter (no offense dave)

I think there are alot of people that would kill to see Slash and Izzy work together again. Even if it was one tour and album. Hell even if it was just a tour. The chemistry and sound between those two is unmatched.

  5. Nobody is waiting for a new Myles/Slash album.

Slash needs to give Scott a call and reform VR.

    I am waiting for it..

I would be on board with VR is they let Slash be Slash like he is on his solo albums.. Slash is a lead guitarist and he was held back in VR from sounding like himself..

I really like VR but there was just too much of a concious effort not to sound like GnR because that is what Scott wanted.

And the Slash/Myles shows blow away VR shows. I want to see the long jams, extended solos and a good helping of GnR songs.. Didn't get that with VR.

  6. The structure of the songs was boring as shit and almost always the same. Something that repeats itself on Slash and AL imo.

Slash is a masterful riff writer and an amazing lead guitar player, but as a songwriter, he's just not very good to my ears.

Izzy could easily put together a song in his prime and it sounded complete. Like the foundation was strong, and it stood all on it's own. It wasn't generic like most Slash songs.

I would kill to have Slash and Izzy do one album/tour together.

I'd be just as happy if izzy was a co-writer for a conspirator album w/out touring it

Me too.... and recorded his music of course.. I would kill to see him live though.

Libertad is an underrated alum, IMHO. Slash's first solo album is probably my favorite post-GN'R solo album. Here's how I would rank Slash's post GN'R work:

    1. Slash (2010)

    2. Contraband (2004)

    3. Libertad (2007)

    4. It's Five 'O Clock Somewhere (1995)

    5. Apocalyptic Love (2012)

    6. Ain't Life Grand (2000)

    Agree, I love Libertad

  7. Sure would like to see him work with Izzy again.. Slash is a killer lead guitarist but it works the best with Izzy's dirty rythym. There really isn't much better than their combined sounds..

But more songs like Anastasia and Standing in the sun, Slither, Dirty Little Thing....

  9. Haven't listened to Appetite in years. Plan to keep it that way.

    You're pretty fucking cool

Appetite is so much better than Illusions that it is not even funny.

I wasn't saying that I share that opinion, just stating that it is in fact a popular opinion on this forum.

I think Appetite is one of the 5 best rock albums ever recorded.

Appetite is THE best album ever recorded

  10. Never saw the Appetite lineup :(

I did see teh UYI's lineup 3 times though. Would have been 5 but two were canceled and not rescheduled due to Gilby's broken arm. One was Providence and the other was Amherst MA.

I saw Gilby's first show in Worcester MA.

Saw Them with Metallica in Foxboro MA

Was at teh St Patty's Day Boston sho win 93.. I have been to hundreds of big nmae shows but none have ever matched the energy of this show.. The crwod was fucking soooo intense and loud.. The band was on fucking point as well. Best show I have ever seen by anyone.
