Wow, I always thought Breakdown was a great song.. I do agree the chorus is weak and Axl does ruin the end but the rest of the song is so strong.. The verses, lyrics, pianos and guitars.. Good stuff.

Axl doesn't need to look 28, he just needs to look good for his age. He is a multi millionare, get the best damn personal trainer you can and fucking work out for an hour a day. It would also do wonders for his voice and stage presence. He could then maybe stop wearing those ridiculous jackets on stage.

Slash should wear a hat like that or a regular ball cap on stage 99% of the time.. That Top Hat is pretty cliche these days.. Maybe just break it out for Paradise City or something.

I would KILL to see those four guys tour together with Myles. I think it would be better than a full reunion at this point. With Duff and Izzy's backing vocals assisting Myles, it would be off the hook.

A reunion would be fucking HUGELY successful if done right.. If Axl showed up in his current state it would suck.. Hopefully he would put 110% into it like he did back in the day. Get into shape for one. I mean good shape too. Have Duff train him. I bet that alone would do alot for his struggling vocals.

Well I said I was almost losing respect for him and it isn't for jamming with Axl because I initially thought it was cool. I should have left that statement out of it because I didn't make it clear and it wasn't totally accurate. My main point of the post was to try and ask what was Duff thinking now that he has experienced a stint with this band. I watched a couple Argentina clips and skimmed through the GG show and it was just painful. Watching Paradise City really hit me hard. Saying all that, if Duff did for some reason did stay with this band long term I would definately lose some respect for him. In my eyes they are that bad and it has become a total embarrassment to the GnR legacy.

For the record? I doubt he really acknowledges some of the faults we do (e.g. Axl's voice). He may be aware of them, but I doubt he cares. I get the vibe that he's just plain happy to be helping out his old friend and rebuilding some broken bridges so to speak. I don't think he jammed with them for opportunistic reasons.

The band itself apart from Ashba's occasional butchering and inaccuracy sound great as usual, it's a lot more precise and layered and clinical, not quite sterile but without Axl it would seem so, they sound swell as they have done since New guns inception, it's not the line up that wrote or had any significant input in what they play but there's nothing inherently wrong with the band, just Axl's current vocals.

I just don't hear it... I think the bands renditions of these songs is very sterile and boring. I saw a GnR tribute band literally last night that sounds way better than these guys. That is bad..

I am serious, what do you think Duff honestly thinks about the State of Guns right now? I tuned in to watch some videos of the recent shows and am almost losing some respect for Duff. Is he really proud to be part of that? Then there is Axl who sounds like a dying squirrel and looks like weirdo. The guy has zero stage presence left. He just look sand sounds so awkward up there. Watching what they did to those classic songs on the Golden Gods show made me want to puke.

I haven't been a fan of Axl carrying on with this band but when he first came back, he still sounded pretty good and had a cool stage presence. The band at the time also did the songs justice like at the first Rock In Rio with Finck and BH. They looked like ass clowns but they still sounded pretty good.

I would love a reunion but I would be just as happy to see Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven do something with Myles or something. Axl sounds absolutely horrendous and has no cool or stage presence left.

If they were going to do it, I would want them all to go at it and give 150%.. I bet if Axl got into shape it would do wonders for his voice.. Maybe get surgery.. Duff could help him with that.. Slash too for that matter but he will sound good no matter what..
