  1. I don't think there's really much doubt that it was Orlando Anderson, the crip Pac put a beating on after the fight. Suge and the death row-aligned Mob Pirus launched a full-out war in Compton against the the Southside Crips because he was known as the shooter. They got him too.

  2. It was Suge.

    /thread

Sitting right next to the target in a confined space, when you have him blasted with a semi-automatic pistol by gangbangers sounds like a stupidly unsafe way to organise a hit.

  3. They were supposed to last like 2 months but I've alreaedy taken half of them!! What can I say? Drugs fucking rule!! I feel so floaty and relaxed and rad. And of course I had to take more than one at a time too... I just took two an a half.

On another forum I occasionally post on there's a guy who was popping benzos like M&M's. Used to post about it all the time and I remember thinking, wow, this guy's tolerance must be through the fucking roof. Couple months later he was dead. Just saying - you're beginning to sound a lot like him.

You don't die from drugs. You die from an overdose. Which means your intake exceeds the level your body can tolerate. The thing that's so dangerous about stopping cold turkey and relapsing is that you lose the protective quality of tolerance and then don't think to alter the dosage. I'm not even sure how much rohypnol it takes to OD(because wtf? roofies?) but still - might wanna be careful with that shit.

  4. Like someone on another forum said, they might as well sue Bach for writing a song with descending half steps in it's intro, resolving on the root. It's seriously the only thing that is the same, and it's extremely common in classical music. It's like filing a lawsuit over stealing a chord.

Except these guys toured with Zeppelin two years before they wrote Stairway. And a lot of the other songs on those first couple of albums have, through numerous lawsuits, had writing credits retroactively added. Zeppelin have been successfully sued for Whole Lotta Love, Babe I'm Gonna Love You, The Lemon Song and Dazed and Confused (The latter settled as recently as 2012 so clearly the statute of limitations does not apply).

So why shouldn't these guys get the same credit? I don't think it's outright thievery - just a case of Zeppelin ommiting the details of certain 'inspirations'. No big deal. Just give the guys the credit they are due.

  5. Wayne's back:

Did anyone ask him where he was?

Talk about a tragedy. He was one of the best rappers in his prime, up through Carter III (which even had its fair share of haters, but which I still love). He sharply fell off right after the success of that record. I think the sizzurp killed all his brain cells. He's literally responsible for some of the absolute worst lyrics I've heard the last few years, some of the weakest verses in general.

    This track is mediocre, btw.

He's produced so much music at such an insane clip that a lot of it is inevitably trash. There is some quality stuff strewn throughout, although not quite so much recently. Sobriety has brought out the worst in him... Rebirth is an unforgivably bad record.

He's the Nic Cage of the rap world in my opinion. Showcases his immense talent from time to time, yet still puts out shit that is hilariously bad. The new track sounds a lot better to me though and I'm actually looking forward to C5 now.

  6. Because athletic competition at the championship level has its roots in religion. The Olympics were held in honour of Zeus. They took part in games they envisioned their gods taking part in. The Celts and the Egyptians held games honouring their own gods before them. There were an awful lot of gods back then so it was conceivable they would take sides in the contest. For example - it made sense for the Greeks to thank Athena for the victory over the Trojans because Athena was, on some Olympian level, duking it out with Ares and Aphrodite. It has come a long way since then but religion is still ingrained in the culture and mythos.

Thanking a monotheistic god for an athletic victory is a ridiculous corruption of that idea, because it makes no sense for an all-encompassing, omniscient god to have stakes in an athletic competition. You're making a statement as to what you believe is God's opinion of your inherent worth in comparison to the inherent worth of your opponent. Vanity isn't going to make you a better athlete at that level of competition - the only thing that makes a difference is natural talent and hard work.

  7. So much for Detox ever coming out.

This will make the release of Detox much more likely imo. 50 Cent said a while back that Detox was never coming because Dre and Iovine were afraid of it hurting Beats Headphones sales and if you think about it, he's right. There's no way Detox can live up to the hype, it just isn't possible. So Dre drops Detox, gets mixed reviews and the people old enough to recognize its significance are underwhelmed. The beats demographic(16-21) will have no idea what to make of it - considering how long he's been making this thing kids are gonna consider it "Dadrap".

So is Dre gonna risk damaging the reputation of his business by releasing an album that doesn't cater to his target demo? No. Do I blame him? Not at all. He just made a billion fucking dollars.

  8. (Sorry for off-topic non-ayahuasca talk OP)

DMT and ayahuasca are the same drug though. Only difference is the ayahuasca vine contains an enzyme that means it can be ingested orally. I've always found it fascinating that the indiginous tribes of the Amazon were able to identify the ONE plant in the entire forest that contains this enzyme. 5000 years ago.

  9. My family on both sides have been in NY since the early 1800's yet if someone asks me my nationality, I never say American. I say either German, which makes up most of my ancestry or German-Irish, to include the other part of my ancestry.

Ugh. If somebody asks you your nationality then they weren't asking for your ancestry. They were asking for your nationality - which is American.

  10. I had a trim called a 'Shape Up' today, I have those like once week, that just sees the hair around my face neck and ears ect cut, for £3. It's not a hair cut or a trim, that's £5, it's a Shape Up, it's £3.

No idea why this fucking made me laugh.
