you guys are trying to organize something that might not even possible.

First you need to have someone in charge that you trust to take your money. If I remember correctly, a few years back someone tried this and a bunch of people got ripped off. Second, that person has to be able to successfully get into contact with the person with the show, and if it were so easy everyone would be trying to do it themselves. Third, the person has to want to sell the show. Fourth, The person may not want to sell because he knows its going to leak.

This is like a mission that may not be possible

7 CD songs is NOT uncommon. i went to two shows in 2011 and two shows in 2012. 6 CD songs were played at one show and 7 CD songs were played at the other three shows.

they do NOT usually play 5.

they DID usually 4-5 in 2002 and the 06/07 tour.

Well really it's your word against mine unless one of us wants to go through the every set list since 2001 and calculate how many cd songs were played when and yadda yadda yadda. Either way if it's 7 or 4 or 5 or whatever, my point remains. The set hasn't changed in any drastic way, axl rose still turns up late for no good reason, in a span of 21 years they have only put out one album of original material, their lead guitarist is rather subpar when compared to guitarists past, blah blah blah. There's plenty of legitimate complaints with this band.

that has nothing to do with the topic im trying to debate. The topic is about 2008-now. Even if the past albums did come into play, like MSL said, GNR never had a stable line up. I also previously said Metallica was an example I was using, but the point of the topic is to compare to other bands.

how is Lulu a factor? Every review I saw or heard was a shitty review and they don't play any of that material live. It was just a side project that lasted 5 minutes. At least the EP is real Metallica songs but those are left overs from DM. They are STILL touring since 2008 with no album coming soon

This is such a twisted, warped, horrible comparison.

First of all - Metallica actually gives a shit about their fans, and is doing a whole bunch of other shit besides touring.

They have released new music since Death Magnetic. The Lou Reed album (like it or not) and the Beyond Magnetic EP.

They are also doing their own festival, doing exciting things live such as adding in the Snakepit to their live shows and soon using the biggest stage they've ever used for some Mexico shows with a huge production. They are also filming a movie.

On top of that, their setlists are way more entertaining, change every night (there hasn't been a repeating setlist since 2004), and they handpick each setlist so that the give fans in each city a unique experience from last time. I could seriously go on forever....facefuckingpalm

Btw, I was at Orion festival. They played To Hell And Back, a song from Beyond Magnetic which was released after Death Magnetic.

the reason for the comparison is to try and show that GNR fans hold the band to some impossible double standard as compared to other bands. Metallica was chosen to try and pick a major band. No matter what GNR does, right or wrong, people will never be happy. If GNR were to put out an EP like Metallica did, many GNR fans would still shit on it.

How do you know those are the songs they will be releasing? How do you know they won't record new songs? You don't. You're hoping, but you don't know. I'm just giving you a possible scenario of what could happen over the next few months and year.

Paul helped write quite a few songs such as There Was A Time. He even co-wrote Shadow of your Love with Axl. You shouldn't diminish his contributions to the band.
