  1. I remember that I was working in December 11 (day of the first show at Taipei Stadium). It was a pain in the ass, forum was packed and really slow, I was dying to see the setlist and a picture of Axl. It was a great setlist with TWAT, Shackler's Revenge and This I Love.

Same here dude. I remember on break sitting in my works lunchroom on my iPhone watching the shitty youtube videos of the concert that was slowly surfacing. Everyone there thought I was crazy :rofl-lol:

  2. They're playing all the greatest hits if its anything like when I saw them last November. It'll be a very predictable show...but a very good one. Pauls voice isn't as good anymore...but whatever. It should be good.

  3. The weekend CD came out, a radio station here was playing random songs off the album all weekend. Every song was in heavy rotation all weekend.

After that was just Chinese Democracy and Better. Haven't heard Street Of Dreams.

When Chinese Democracy was first announced and that song was given out to radio, they played it literally at the top of every hour for like, 2 days. It was pretty crazy.

  4. So my dad came home from work and told me something he heard on a local radio station in regards to the stage collapse.

The guy on the radio said said it apparently collapsed because Axl was extremely late, fans got restless, and pretty much destroyed the place.

    ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING!?

Just another excuse to bash Axl I guess.....

  5. Some of those songs appear on this too by the looks of it...

Found that at a local wal mart a few months ago and got it. There was some pretty good shit on there. I'll try and pick up this 'Family Tree' thing.

Cover images of these two sets are almost identical. :o

Yeah, taking a closer look at it, it looks like both these are almost identical with the exception of a few songs. Which...sucks. This Attitude for Destruction thing is good though. Stephen Pearcy and Tracii Guns redo some Ratt songs, theres some better mixes/re-recordings of some LA Guns songs, some decent GNR covers...pick it up if you can.

  7. Well, now that the Canadian leg is done, I think I can safely say Winnipeg got the best show. Maybe I'm biased since I was there...but they hit the 2 hour 50 minute mark. Got pretty much everything we coulda asked for....except Estranged :P

  8. Anyone notice on the track "Jam" right before Dizzy Reeds Piano Solo, Tommy Stintson (?) almost calls it "The Blues"?

May have been discussed before. If so, I missed it. Oh well. Just found it funny. I've known it as The Blues for so long....

  9. That picture that you posted of the shirt you're wearing is awesome, I like that new GnR Logo, the one that's in my sig down there, I like it alot. That's the shirt I'm gonna get when they come to the US for sure

yea, i like that one a lot!

ts pretty cool. Thats the one I bought. Now up to 6 GNR shirts in total. Oh god... :scared::P

  10. Well, considering Quicksand is my FAVORITE Skid Row song...I'm sure I woulda remembered it live....I wasn't wasted or high, I know that much.

And no, Baz opened up with Back In The Saddle. Slave to the Grind wasnt even played. Boo!

Thats all the pics I got. Keep in mind, they're nothing amazing...just off my iPhone. But decent enough.

    Thanks for the pics

No problem. I've noticed that a few of these turned up on Dj Ashba's Facebook page this afternoon/evening. Thats pretty awesome.

Look what is the #1 most viewed story at the Winnipeg Free Press website (on right hand side of page)

    http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/

Yeah, believe it or not, I think people are slightly over-exaggerating the whole "the crowd was dead" bit from last night. Yeah, they didn't react much to the new stuff (unfortunate, really...because Axl was spot on for SOD, Better, and TIL), but everyone popped and went crazy when classics were tossed out there for us.

Also...I happened to hear some people in my section shouting "Play Estranged!" between songs.

  11. I can somewhat confirm that. I know someone who wore a Slash shirt there, and security told them that they were supposed to boot people for that. I think even security were tolerant about it though, probably thought it was stupid as fuck. Coulda been that my friend had seats closer to the back of the arena. Axl wouldn't have seen it from that great a distance. Not a chance in hell. So maybe thats why they let him get in with a Slash shirt.

I could see telling that to people who are gunna be right up at the stage where Axl would easily be able to spot it. But like I said, security around me made it seem like they thought it was an absurd request.

  12. I smuggled in a pretty damn good digital camera. I pulled it out before anyone took the stage, and security told me to put it away. Said cell phone camera's are fine, but camera's aint. He said the arena lets people bring them to take pictures only, but "the guys backstage" are saying no digital cameras AT ALL. Too bad...I woulda been able to get AMAZING shots with that thing.

Venue coulda held around 13 thousand people. I'd say there were 8-9 thousand. Rough guess only though. Most of the upper deck was tarped off, and all the was open in the lower bowl were seats at the very back of the arena. So, pretty decent turnout. Better than I thought.

Oh well...I'm off to bed. Hopefully I'll wake up to some more pictures and videos or even some audio in tthe morning. :)

  13. K so, just got back from the MTS Center show. 2:25am here in Winnipeg as I start this post.

Show was awesome! I was about 10 feet from stage left...so, GREAT seats. Danko was alright. I was hoping for more of his earlier material...so I got a little let down by that. Baz was awesome. Axl sounded FUCKING GREAT. Honestly, I couldn't believe how great his voice sounded. Thought he sounded a bit weak on IRS, but thats just my opinion. This I Love was AWESOME. The crowd seemed to be into that song and Axl's vocals on that song too.

Noticed during Scraped at one point, Axl stepped on some little red box on the ground, and started screaming something into the microphone, yet we couldn't hear it. Obviously he was bitching at someone backstage for something. Not sure what though.

The whole bit with him dedicating the last part of KOHD to his dog was pretty neat. Kinda touching, so to say.

Beta was backstage. I saw her pop out to side stage once in a while.

Axl seemed in a great mood. Tommy seemed like a bit of a hard ass. I think he was just pissed because someone threw something at him early on. "Don't fucking throw shit at me or I'll go home" as he said. Seemed pissed after that.
