  1. So I was on the drive home from work about an hour and a half ago, and they were doing what they call "The 6 o'clock Rock Report" on a local radio station. They mentioned that in regards to the 50 shows Michael Jackson was supposed to play in London, that the promoters are trying to get other bands to make up the shows, and get some old bands together for the occasion. Apparently ABBA is in the works for it, and apparently Robert Plant has "given into" getting onstage with Led Zeppelin for a few of the shows. The guy also said to "take it as a grain of sand" at this point.

Just wondering if anyone else heard anything about this.

  2. I just saw them live last night. GREAT concert. I've seen 'em live 3 times now. They know how to put on an entertaining live show.

You see, they put their lighter and softer songs on the radio, just to try and grab a larger variety of fans to come to their concerts. So on radio, they sound like a pop band. But if you listen to their albums or a live show, they definately come off as a harder rock band. And hey, it worked for them! And, IMO, they make good music.

You can't say "Figured You Out" is a pop song with a straight face. :P

But no, they ain't no Guns N' Roses. Never.

  3. it should be mandatory reading in schools if you ask me. It's incredible what kind of shit these guys stired up, there is almost anything you could possibly imagine in there.

Haha! While it was indeed a GREAT book, that idea probably wouldn't go over too well. After I read it, I borrow it to my GF (one of the many people I have converted into Crue fans). She started reading the first page like, instantly. She got to the bottom of page one, the part where Tommy (I think it was Tommy...) talking, saying that everyone loved "Bullwinkle" because she could "spray her cum across the room" or something like that. She put the book down and said something like, "I'll continue later."

Great band. Cruefest last year kicked ass. Too bad it ain't coming to Canada this year.

  4. Last years Cruefest show is finally being released on DVD. I think its the Toronto show thats on it.

Amazon.com says March 24th. Mick Mars on his MySpace says April 7th. Can't seem to find anything on it anywhere else.

Also showing it in theatres. March 26th for my city.
