People still arguing over potential aliens living among us while we even can’t find traces of bacteria outside of our own planet.

If there is anything alive out there (which is possible since all the ingredients are out there as well) I doubt that it will be anything like what we know. Our planet, it’s parent star and a whole lot of terrifying space violence had a lot to do in creating and shaping life as we know it. We don’t know if life can sustain itself in a completely different and more violent environment, with different forces of nature at work. Or what life would look like in these conditions.

My best bet would be to look closer to home for starters. Venus would be a decent bet since it’s a planet that once was very similar to Earth, so it’s smart to start with what we already know. So I’m excited for NASA’s new Venus missions. 

And now we’re comparing metal to hardrock.

Metallica tuned their sound down a loooooot, pretty much to appeal to a more mainstream audience (I believe). They even brought in Ja Rule for one of the worst things I ever heard.

I imagine GN’R with Shaq being even worse than that.

Both bands did stuff to appeal to a more mainstream crowd, but they are still different bands in different genres.

Nowadays lead singers either sound like they’re going to cry or as if they just cried before recording their songs. Drummers sound like they could be replaced by any 90’s drummachine and the real solo guitarists are gone.

It’s sad to hear so many talented musicians on Youtube or Soundcloud that would’ve been a great fit for a 80’s or 90’s band. But apparently the world needs their Maroon 5’s and their Coldplays now.

Sad thing is that Coldplay probably is the most popular “band” of the 2000’s.

They played Shackler at the Arnhem show in 2010 too. Kinda changed my mind about the song, because the album version never did anything for me. 
 

But that was the thing about most CD songs on the 2010 tour, songs like IRS and Madagascar were damn powerfull compared to their flat studioversions.

I really really reaaaaaaally don’t like the Tokyo show they released. Aside from it sounding like a mess altogether it was a bad performance by Axl. Fuck I even forgot it was an official release, I watched a lot of bootlegs that looked and sounded better than that show.

Never been a fan of Linkin Park, but Chester had a lot more power in his voice than he has on this track. It’s a bit weak imho.

The song fit Lemmy like a glove, so I’m glad Slash went with him eventually.

The live versions with Todd(?) singing are pretty good too.

The game ran pretty good for me except for the parts with the 3 bugdaughters, every time these bugs flew past and through me my framerate became pretty much nonexistent. 
 

Lately I’ve been racing on GTA5, it’s not realistic in any way but I absolutely love the arcade feeling I get when doing some stuntraces in silly cars.

Been replaying Horizon Zero Dawn, which is one of my favorite games ever. I’m really excited about Forbidden West, but I’ll need a PS5 for that. I won’t risk buying it for the PS4.

Mick was smart enough to sing in what is pretty much his speaking voice. It didn’t suffer much, plus the dude is still in great shape.

Hardschool is pretty decent, I liked that there was some rasp on it. I’d really like to hear a finished version of Oklahoma tho, that song gave me some AFD vibes.

I never understood the fascination with these rehearsals. The live performance itself was horrible apart from Axl’s scream in WTTJ, Madagascar was OK for 2002’s standard I guess.

The cornrows were his last decent look imho. 2006 Axl was one stylish bastard for the most part.

All I’m wondering about is what Axl will look and sound like. I’m foolishly hoping he lost some pounds and took some time to fix whatever the hell happened to his voice.

But it’ll probably be memeworthy like yellow raincoat Axl or MGM logo Axl.

At least add some UYI songs to the setlist and drop YCBM and Rocket Queen, those songs have been sounding shit since 2010.

I turned it off before Slash kicked in during the intro of Estranged. Axl can't even sing in a low voice anymore. That was trash, and I don't believe it will ever get better. I can't believe that this was worse than Rock In Rio with the damn raincoat.

He's probably dressing up his cats and taking pictures of them when he's not on tour.

Probably not. What killed GN'R were Axl, his lawyers, Team Brazil, Perla, the entire production time of CD and Ashba's incapability to bend or hold notes.
