I’m in two minds about this. Loved the games but I’m not convinced Tom Holland is good casting. I like him but I’m not sure he fits the role. I’m more than happy to be proved wrong however.

Oh I agree with you on Tom Holland as Nathan Drake. I get that they want to start with a young actor but he doesn't really strike me as the Nathan Drake type. But I do think that Wahlberg could be a good Sully. He has that same grumpy seen-it-all look.

  2. Don't know if this should have it's own topic so I'll just post it here.

They are finally coming through with the Uncharted movie! Fucking excited about this. They even got a reluctant Mark Wahlberg to wear a mustache for his role as Sully.

@RussTCB have you seen this yet? I know you're a fan of the games as well. I recently finished The Lost Legacy, which is actually pretty decent for a spin-off. But after hearing this I kinda want to revisit all 4 Uncharted games again.

Nah... nowadays we have summer from April till September most of time because of this changing climate, the days of complaining about the weather are over. (except for winter people like me)

Fellow autumn and winter person here man  For some reason I can't stand heat, I start sweating the moment temperatures reach 20C or above. In the winter I rarely wear a coat because I just don't get cold that easily, or sick.

So I'm also one of those people who complain during summer, most people think we're crazy. But I feel ya

wow. Things are getting worse again. Is it flu season in Europe yet?

To be fair, in most of our countries it's 325 days of flu season

And those 40 days where the weather is good we all get hay fever.

Nice. I share that same preference. Here, our legal weed is sold in stores but a lot of it is sold from the online store run by the province. So the pandemic has made them waive delivery fees and encourage producers to reduce prices (because of economic uncertainty and low employment). This will ensure that the black market doesnt fill the need for cheaper weed.

So Im getting all the best stuff for dirt cheap :headbang:In fact it worth mentioning, I get the premium brand The Good Organic Dutchman.

As a Dutchman I can tell you that it's a deceiving name  From what I've heard they have some A+ class strains. So I'm guessing you're Canadian then?

I worked in a Coffeeshop in the south of the Netherlands for 3 years, and we always had guests from all over the world. We had Canadian regulars who hooked me up with legal weed from both the US and Canada. Maaaaan that was something different.

I'm not saying our weed is bad, but Canada has it all done better. Both in quality and laws and regulations.

So it shouldn't be called the Good Organic Dutchman imho, that's giving us way too much credit

How many of you who panic bought a bunch of veggie seeds actually even planted one yet? How many who hoarded the seeds that producers need even have a garden?

I bought seeds for my 5 legal plants which have been doing well. But that was because they closed our "Coffeeshops" early on, and I prefer a spliff over a drink

  7. I have an odd request I guess.

I remember that I had Axl's in-ear mix(?) from one of the Asian shows in 2009.

The most interesting part of that was that during Bumblefoot's Pink Panther solo, when he plays a tiny fraction of Estranged, you hear Axl saying "I heard that!"

I always wondered if that was about him recognizing the Estranged bit or if it was about something else he might've heard.

My question is if anyone even remembers this at all and could tell me which show it was, since I don't have this specific bootleg anymore.

    Thanks in advance!

    You guys are unbelievable.

It’s bad enough you have a terrible thing happen under Trump’s watch, such as the forcible and needless separation of kids from their parents while under detention. It’s completely a whole other level of shit to have people attempt to justify it or make excuses for it.

First, Trump hasn’t stopped shit. The “wall” as it exists today is only 1/6th of the total US border and is largely a replacement for fencing and walls that already existed.

Second, many children do come unaccompanied into immigration services, but that’s not who we’re talking about. Many come with their parents. Under Obama’s administration these families were not separated (unless under severe circumstances). Under Trump’s administration the opposite occurred for no other reason but cruelty by the current President.

Don't get too worked up man. After 4 years of "President" Trump I learned that his supporters don't give a fuck about facts, evidence or anything any democrats say or that matter.

Having Trump leading a country is like having Stevie Wonder piloting a plane. You can shout and warn him all you want, he won't see it. At all.

Also I feel like Swampfox is just trying to get under your skin

Okay, this is a good thing. I believe some people from here were asking for this.

But... this Chinese Democracy sounds a lot like Double Talkin’ Jive

It sounds like Frank is drumming on his lap. Axl wasn't that good either.

Man how I hope he comes back in shape next year. But meh, he's gonna Vince it.

In the latest biannual report from the WWF, The Living Planet Index, it is shown that since 1970 population sizes of more than 5,000 studied mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and birds have had an average drop of astounding 68 %. In other words, if you looked at a population of a given animal back in 1970, chances are it would be less than half the size now in 2020, 50 years later. There are less birds in the sky, fewer otters in the rivers, salamanders are becoming a rarer sight, and lizards are disappearing. https://f.hubspotusercontent20.net/hubfs/4783129/LPR/PDFs/ENGLISH-FULL.pdf

Obviously, the 68 % drop in population sizes is an average, so some animals haven't seen such a huge drop... while others have had a larger drop and become decimated and are now extinct. Currently, about one million species are believed to be on the brink of extinction.

It doesn't get much worse than this. We are destroying our home. We are destroying the foundation for our own existence.

Personally, I find this to be an even greater threat to humanity than climate change - although the two things are of course intertwined (global warming is one of the reasons animals are going extinct, others being deforestation, pollution, illegal trade of animals, agriculture, and overfishing).

    Just terrible and utterly scary.

This has my main concern. The planet is dying.

It boggles me how governments are willing to close everything down for a virus that kills a few people (of the 7.5 billion, a number that is still growing despite people dying from corona) but they refuse to act on bigger things like the loss of other life on our planet.

We aren't the most important thing on this planet. If anything, we're pretty much the worst thing that could've happened to Earth.

I don't get why the world isn't trying harder to save what we had, before it's all lost. Instead we have people like Bolsonaro murdering the Amazon rainforest and everything in it.

As for these experts, they need to bring bread on the table. if you make money being an expert, you are part of the economy, your expertise becomes valuable, you are selling your expertise, but when someone is paying for your expertise, I think you will understand that this is where my scepticism kicks in.

By that logic you should be sceptic of every paid profession.

If you make money baking bread, you are part of the economy. You are selling your expertise. So by your logic you don't trust that bread and thinks it's a shoe.

No, as far as I understand it this is not the result of pushing the development, it is the result of doing the clinical trials correctly and not taking any shortcuts. The whole purpose of clinical trials is to find such cases. If, on the other hand, regulatory bodies were to accept shortened Phase 3 trials, or not doing them at all, such cases wouldn't be found in development and would first be found after market approval as the drug is administered to millions of people with possible devastating outcome.

Before I continue I want you to know I'm not in any way an anti-vaxer  I also don't doubt your knowledge regarding this subject. I just find it typical for something like this to happen right now.

And I do feel like they are rushing it tho.

EDIT: Also, a truly devestating outcome would've been if people actually took Trump's advise and started injecting disinfectant. A part of my died when I heard that.

Obviously the work should be somewhat meaningful. Like AFD and UYI. Not throwaway like OMG (and an Album, not a single). But yes, why do proper members and acts and bands have to wait 25 years until they could get inducted, but some insignificant rent-a-musician, who joined 10 years ago, can get in right away, because he was lucky to join a HOF-"worthy" band? That's not really fair, is it?

If the leaked CD stuff would've been worked on and released I would've looked at those guys differently. But instead of 3 steady albums they released only one album which was a mish-mash of everyone who worked with the band between 1997 and 2008.

Look at Richard, he's been in the band for 18 years and has nothing to show for it. He deserves more than a few rererecorded doodles on CD.
