Axl really needs to start pushing this band if he wants to keep going on an arena type level.
He'll NEVER get back to an "arena" type deal in the US without the original band and a new single/record. As long as he's going to stay the course with this new thing, he's destined for the underground.
than why would he care about touring us while he's still loved around the world?
2010 - More of the same. Another Chinese Democracy world tour. Most of the "new songs" that they are playing have been played live since as early as 2001. Not surprisingly, no NA tour dates announced.

Ron cant even do that. There is a reason why Axl took it away from him and gave it to DJ.
Ron can play superfast sure, but he cannot play clean or melodic.
That is why he is not a prodigy.
What makes him a prodigy exactly?
I tought that solo was pretty sweet.
he's progigy at tapping. there's is really few players that can play like he does on that japanese vids he did( if you've seen the vids). he's a very complete player who can do anything he wants with a guitar.that's it.

Didn't CD sell like...five million worldwide? If so, people need to chill with the flop talk because that's not even CLOSE to a flop.
It did not even sell 1m in the US
It was a huge flop. And no it didn't send 5m world wide, wasn't it more like 3m?
And even if it is 5m that is a huge flop by Gnr standards, all of their studio albums (AFD, Lies, UYI I and II) all sold at least 5m in the US alone, even GHs I think is getting close to 4 or 5m in the US alone. And none of those albums took as long or cost as much as CD did to make.
Its also a huge flop considering the time and money put into the album. Ten years and over 15m to only sell at most 5m world wide and that 5m is being genious.
CD sold about what 750k tops in the us. How is that not a flop?
Look at CD like a movie. Lets someone made a movie and it cost 150m to make and it only made 100m at the box office, that movie would be a flop.
But if another person made a movie and it only cost them 50m to make and that movie made 100m at the box office it would be considered a success.
The reason CD is such a flop is because of how much it cost to make and it took Axl TEN YEARS to put out.
You cannot compare CD to other bands that only spend a few million to make an album and it only takes them two or three years to make their album.
fuck off with the huge flop thing!! it's no longer the 90S anymore. sells cannot be compared with apetite or use your illusions. less than a million in the us is a flop for chi dem because of its anticipation but us are stuck in the past and they hate whatever axl writes. 3-5 million world-wide is good, rock msic is nowhere near as popular as it was plus people steal music nowadays. PLUS taking 10 years to make an album doesn't make your fanbase bigger it makes you look ridiculous in most people's eyes.

This band needs to worry less about playing more UYI songs and start playing more CD songs,
Why?
As presently constructed this line-up had about as much to do with writing CD as they did the Illusions, so its all cover tunes anyway. It would be different if the the line-up responsible for creating CD were still in tact, but they're not. Besides, crowds would probably rather hear more Illusions stuff than CD stuff if given a choice.
oh come on now thats funny! stinson's there,dizzy's there,fortus'there,pittman and THE band is there...axl. stop with saying its cover tune because mister bucket's not there. in the end most of the guys are there and as long as axl who decides everything in the band is there, nothing on chinese is a cover. 96% of the crowd, I'm not saying they like or dislike chinese, but these 96% certainly dont give a fuck about a guy with a bucket who act like a fucking robot.

They play more of the older music, because fans rather here songs that were created by Axl, Slash, Duff, and Izzy. They get a better crowd response.
it's normal to have a better response for songs people know, I mean they would play fucking shotgun blues they would still have a better response than c.d songs. But they are there to promote these new songs like every other bands do. then he'll put another record out he'll promote this record and better will have a better response then I dont know checkmate.

On paper it is sure. But beside the band name, it has all the characterisitics of a solo album no? If not, I think Axl should offer a piece of the band name ownership to Ashba and Pittman. I mean after all, they ARE Guns N' Roses too right?
if it's a solo album then it wouldnt sound like this. axl once said that an solo record would be much more instrumental.

From the Rose Bar show I got Bumblefoot's pick, Tommy's bass pick, Franks Drumstick, a piece of clipped guitar string from Dj that i took off the stage, a champagne glass, and some rose pedals that dried out. It's all on my facebook haha.

what the fuck! he just said he enjoys all their music! just read before insulting a guy. plus I really think that between chinese songs he could put a lot more illusions. easy, brownstone, michelle , outta get me etc are songs that he could 'sometimes'' replace with lets say perfect crime, pretty tied up, dont cry, estranged, so fine etc... he acts like he only wrote apetite and that use your illusion are 4 songs including 2 covers...
