  1. Guys I need you help! BLS going on soon. Security in front told me no cameras. Let's tweet the fuck out of Fernando and gnr. to come out and tell security to let me stream.

i will tweet like mad, but i did have the feeling alme security would stop you. I think i will wish you the best mate and hope Fernando can sort something for us.

  2. Besides, fans like us catch so much shit for wearing Gnr shirts in public because Gnr offends the mainstream, so Gnr concerts are a cathartic experience for us.

What? GN'R is about as "mainstream" as you can get for anyone not born in the 2000s (besides Chinese Democracy).

Gnr was mainstream in terms of popularity for only about 3 years my friend. Then Nirvana and 'alternative' bands became the hip thing. Being a Gnr fan has been offensive to the mainstream since, arguably, '91. They managed to sell loads of records after that, but that's only because they rock and enough people like them.

87 to 93 is 6 years btw. An ppl liked them well after that fyi.

Did you even read what I wrote? I dont know how I can simplify it any more: Gnr had the combination of world-wide fame AND the label as being the trendiest, hippest band from part of '88 through '91. By '92, yes they were hugely popular and sold millions but they were no longer 'the rebels.' Kurt Cobain tried to show up Axl at the VMAs, MTV basically sided with Kurt, Nevermind was the new cool thing in late-91, people started cutting their hair, Pearl Jam Ten, Alice in Chains, ETC. In '92 Clinton was in office after over a decade of republicans - the cultural change was evident in '92, and Gnr was depicted as not a part of the new thing. Sheesh how old are you? Do you actually know what you're talking about?

Disagree. It's a little bit revisionist. "November Rain" was all over MTV throughout 1992 as well as Billboard charts. Had Gn'R actually gotten in the studio for a true followup to Illusions rather than a cover record, people would've eaten it up.

The common thing a lot of people say are "Nirvana killed the '80s bands," which just isn't true. Illusions had enormous anticipation and lines down the street in '91 when Nirvana's Nevermind hit. The music scene and pop culture would have changed regardless but I think it had little to do with Nirvana. People give them way too much credit for the whole counterculture thing. By the middle-to-late '90s, you had a bunch of pop punk bands that sounded nothing like grunge (which had morphed into "alternative). That's just my opinion.

Goodness you're so lame. I started the SHUT THE FUP GNRCHRIS unwritten rule and you broke it !!!!!!!!!!! Seriously pointless thread, why are you guys giving this idiot any attention. I really think the message you can get from normal people, is we are not sheep and follow stupid little childish unwritten rules. Seriously grow up Chris and stand alone as a man, if that's what you are, maybe just run back to mummy i think.

  3. Honestly, I don't "worry" about the people who do this. I don't get angry. I don't sit there and snicker. I just personally feel it's lame.

It was a general observation, as I said. I've never seen it as much as at the Gn'R show. I've been to a ton of other bands too. I've seen some early '90s tour shirts at Crue or Def Leppard or whatever, but those are different.

I know the very reason you don't like wearing the tshirts, you have got so friggin fat you can't find a size that fits the shit that's inside you !!!!!!!!! tell you what i have started a new rule ----------- SHUT UP !!!!!!!!!! ------------- FOLLOW THAT RULE !

  4. I'm not an idiot. It's pretty common knowledge. Of course people can do whatever they want.

If you want to look like a relic or someone's parents on their first night out in years, go ahead and wear the band shirt.

Might you also be the same grown men who wear sports jerseys with other men's names on your backs when you go to live sporting events?

Og fffs you are a cock, now do one !!

  5. Didn't anyone ever get the memo? You don't wear a band shirt of the band you're going to see live. I've never seen more egregious offenders than at the Guns show in Chicago.

who says you can't wear an gnr tshirt to a show, YOUR stupid little army or something , get on with ya, do one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IDIOT

  6. Dylan's close to 70, if not in his 70s.... GNR should've been at the Dylan 30th back in the early 90s, and Bob's been on stage with many great bands as a guest.

So... as someone who loves GNR and Bob, the man who lifted rock and roll into an art form, shouldn't they put the invite out to have him join them on stage to do a couple of songs with him? He doesn't even have to play the guitar, just put one of Dizzy's keyboards out for him. Just thinking of how fucking loud that audience would get with Bob delivering the "mama put my gun in the ground" line. He's a nightowl kind of guy anyway.

Plus Axl could give him a ride there and back.

Assuming Axl personally asks him and Bob says "sure", what would be a good Dylan song for GNR to tackle? Positively 4th? Like a Rolling Stone? Rainy Day Women?

Yes "waht if" Axl suddenly rings me up and asks me to join the band. Really so damn stupid !

This is a stupid thread, not news to top it off

It's a "what if" discussion. Doesn't have to be news.

  8. First of all, I've never had a twitter account. Why? If I have something to say about my life, it's not going public, much less the world. I'll talk to my friends or family if I have something to talk about. End of story. Secondly, anyone that does 'tweet', or follow anyone on such media, needs to get a life. Why? That person apparently has TOO MUCH TIME on their hands and isn't productive enough in their own lives to even consider something like 'Twitter' a mere afterthought.

The folks who 'tweet' crap like this apparently are in need of attention. 90% of the time, whatever they're 'tweeting', isn't even necessarily true. It's just a matter of trying to get attention.

In Bumble's case, he's doing just that. Trying to get attention. Why? MARKETING 101.

The more of you idiots that profess profound sympathy for the dude, the more of a chance Rolling Stone or some outlet like that, with credibility, picks up on the story and reports it. Which, ultimately, provides an outlet for the person 'tweeting', to get publicity and thus, promote the brand. In this case, the brand is 'BUMBLEFOOT'.

I love the guy, but the teenaged 'tweets' about being in pain or whatever are merely reaching for publicity.

Ron Thal isn't going anywhere. The payday he's getting being a part of GNR is a hundred fold over anything he'd be doing on his own.

If anyone can prove otherwise, please respond in kind.

    Otherwise, stop being so naive.

I'm sorry but you are officially MYGNR's biggest MORON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY MESSED UP VIEWS. Maybe you have been cheated on in life so makes you so very bitter and mislead

Not a moron dude, just telling you how it is. When people reach out for attention via means of Facebook and Twitter, especially seeking sympathy, it's pretty pathetic. Especially a dude that should just suck it up or bail if it's that bad. It's VERY obvious it's a grab at attention and publicity.

And don't dilute your brain into thinking that the majority of the guys in GNR right now are there for any other reason than a payday. They're all session musicians, basically, and GNR is the best thing going for them all. I like to think a few of them are actually in it now to prove a point and honestly put out an original album with some mainstream success. Might be their only shot at relevance in the entertainment business with sustainable royalties so they can retire nicely.

My opinion might make me a moron in your book, but it sounds like your brain makes you naive.

For goodness sake be very quiet !!!!!!!!! you are a real bore :sleeper:

  10. Yes this needs to be taken seriously.

No it doesn't. Everyone is popping some damn pill.

can you stop? You got a board full of nice threads to cupcake and say shit. Please leave.

Oh bite me idiot. I'll post where I please.'

I don't think this a cry for help, suicide attempt or any overdramatic shit some on here are making it out to be. If Dude is still hurt, he should ask for better meds.

but I think dude's heart just isn't in it anymore.

If Ron ends up dead tonight, will you still say "I guess his heart wasn't in it..." tomorrow?

Goddamn some of you are freaking idiots. How the hell are you nutters pulling suicide attempt from those tweets/posts.

    Jesus Christ.

I agree with you a 1000% , he's prob just pissing around. some really really strange people around to overblow those tweets and think he's going to kill himself

  11. If I'm not too drunk to remember, I'll yell for Batman. I'll be wearing a faded blue cap, jeans and I think a light colored long sleeve shirt. Probably won't get there until 9 or 9:30.

If all else fails use the time tested bat signal

that is funny as fuck
