  1. Excluding Guns and Slash's solo stuff of course...

Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin

    Echoes - Pink Floyd

Join Me - HIM (Live in Berlin '00 especially )

Soothsayer - Buckethead (Okay so strictly speaking it's not a solo but it's going on here anyway :P)

  2. Robin Finck - I.R.S.

    Best ever?

It's a toss-up between that and Robin Finck on "The Blues."

    And Ron Thal on "Nightrain"!

Or Richard Fortus on "November Rain"...

God, I just can't choose.

Nah man, it's Finck on SCOM! :P

  3. I finally got round to seeing Reservoir Dogs the other day, fantastic film.

Defenitely a classic.....how do you think it compares to Pulp Fiction?

I think I actually preferred it to Pulp Fiction, Tarantino sure knows how to make a great film. The opening credits, the Breakfast scene, the Stuck In The Middle With You scene and the Mexican showdown ending are all brilliant. I'm probably going to watch it again tonight, pay more attention to details and stuff. :)

Try and find out who shot Nice Guy Eddie.

I reckon logically it's gotta be Mr Orange. But he wasn't pointing a gun at him during the Mexican Standoff. But he coulda done it quickly I suppose.

I think it's White, if you watch closely in slo-mo Joe pops Mr. Orange, Mr. White shoots Joe and Eddie shoots Mr. White, then as White's falling he spins his gun around and gets off another shot at Eddie.

    what a nightmare!

I know they are going to air over here, but I'm not sure I'll bother...

..any live acts worth tuning in for??

Well Macca was pretty good imo anyway. Rest was pretty much awful, although I didn't see Mika so I don't know how he was.

  6. British Album:

Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion

    Mark Ronson - Version

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare

    Leone Lewis - Spirit

    Take That - Beautiful something.

I love it when Sharon yells; she's like my mother

I think Vic Reeves is a bit pished.

Yeah, just a little  Paul McCartney on now. rock3

    Ozzy announcing him. :rofl-lol:

  7. moar biffy plz

Good on the Foos. Beth Ditto is a talentless hack, what is it with every fat chick that they think they can pull off Aretha Franklin? Also, is it just me or was Kaiser Chiefs performance very bland? And I heard the frontman was supposed to be very energetic, mustve not wanted to ruin his suit.

I agree about the Kaisers, I was watching them wondering where the energy was supposed to be, was a pretty boring performance.

  8. I like Mika!

..is there no love for the man on here anywhere?!

I like him! And someone else in the Last.fm thread likes him too (forgot who it was)! Love Today is an awesome song.

Although I'm surprised someone like you likes him, DSG.

EDIT: SAY WHAT!? MUSE LOST BEST LIVE ACT!? HAVE THESE PEOPLE FUCKING SEEN A MUSE SHOW LIVE!? It's mind-blowing! Gawd, that's bullshit.

I know Sandy and JDRM like him, not exactly a big fan myself. And yeah, what the fuck was with Take That? Muse should have owned that category once again.

Personally I feel Zeppelin should have been crowned Best Live Act just for that show though.

  9. Thanks guys, I've been wanting to start a series of acoustic covers like that one of various songs.... unfortunately i've not been feeling so great so i didn't want to put up any videos of me in my dressing gown looking as pale as death and even less able to sing than normal. Hopefully that'll be sorted out though. Glad you liked it :).

    Should do Silkworms next! ;)

    Seriously though, do You're Crazy.

Bon Jovi is headlining a concert series to raise funds for lung cancer research _ a cause that became personal for the New Jersey rockers after bandmate Richie Sambora's father died of the disease last year.

The group was dedicating the kickoff concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan on Tuesday night to the guitarist's father, Adam Sambora. It came days before the opening of the band's "Lost Highway World Tour."

Funds raised during the yearlong concert series will go to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where Sambora's father received treatment.

The series, organized by Stand Up for a Cure, also will feature performances by Jerry Seinfeld, Andrea Bocelli and other artists. Future concert dates have not yet been announced.

The non-profit group also has commissioned three mobile care centers in the New York area, which will be named after the rocker's parents, Adam and Joan Sambora.

According to the National Cancer Institute, lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death among both men and women in the U.S., and will kill more people this year than breast, prostate and colorectal cancer combined.

    -------------------------------------------

Good decision, Bon Jovi. That's something Axl Rose can't do :)

It never ceases to amaze me how you can take something like charity concerts to raise money for lung cancer research and start an argument over it.

  11. Anyone else looking forward to the LEGO Indiana Jones and Batman games? I loved the LEGO Star Wars titles and I'm really looking forward to these other titles. The Lego Batman looks really fun! ^_^

    I am!

LEGO Star Wars I and II were awesome, even if they were piss easy. I shall most definitely be getting these. rock3
