Gonna see Maiden in October
Seeing them on Saturday
have a good time!
Have fun guys! I am ashamed to say I've never seen them live
If they havent been in Canada (i think ur from canada lol) they will be, this is a world tour
Nah they did the US leg last year. They're doing one or two shows over there soon I think, but that's in the US itself and they've announced pretty much all their dates now

I've got one more before London Gigs have all been great so far, seen some of the best I've EVER seen these past few weeks. Met Bruce in Bucharest too, which was really cool.Maiden this weekend. Bring it on!
You wanna meet up before the gig(s)? Amir and I think The Sandman wanted to, and I was gonna send them the official Maiden Fan Club meetup info. It's free and a lot of fun
Possibly, depends on my arrival times at the hotel and how long it takes me to get from there to the arena, but i'd probably be up for it. PM me the night before or so when you have plans
Been waiting to see this tour for a while, can't wait!

Posted today on Iron Maiden's official site. Third or fourth video from this year's tour now.

No calls for My World as it's almost unanimously hated, and no covers.
And....go.
My vote goes to Bad Apples. Never liked that song.

Maiden this weekend. Bring it on!

Put on another ten pounds. Do a shitty tour.
That's my guess.
Debut of the Rosemobile, a portable scooter Axl uses to get around stage.

What was the last gig nuGuns* did?
* nuGuns: Buckethead, Brain and Finck in the band. The ones responsible for Chinese Democracy.
Madison Square Garden 2002. A good bootleg exists. An electric gig, if I could pick one GN'R post-1993 gig to go to, that'd probably be the one.

saw Maiden at Download and it was amazing! was right in close so the sound was fantastic. Afraid to Shoot Strangers and the Prisoner were surprises, but brilliant (I love the Prisoner to bits along with Wasted Years and 2 Minutes... also played). All the classics, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son which I had forgotten how good it was! Moonchild etc were brilliant! Loved the older pre Bruce songs too. Brilliant night, might check the 2 90s blaze albums now, have all the other stuff and used to be a massive fan.
the second blaze album virtual XI sucks, it may leave you with permanent damage, you have been warned
haha, the joy of Spotify I guess will come into play!
Just listen to Futureal and The Clansman off of VXI. The rest is utter shit. Angel & The Gambler could've been good if it was about 6 minutes shorter.
Como Estas Amigos would like a word with you.

I've often wondered this.

I think Sympathy For the Devil should still remain included...just so it's easy for people to get hold of without wanting to hunt for the old CD single.

More fool him, Maiden are amazing. I rank them as my favourite band along with Guns.
-
I like it.
Blaze's post-Maiden solo albums, however, are for the most part amazing.
Yep, great stuff. Really hope to see him live someday.
Seen him three times - twice with his 2007-2011 solo outfit (before he fired the band) and once with Wolfsbane supporting Saxon. Top performances each time, and got a photo with him after each gig.
Cool, very jealous. He's very much a class act by all indications.
You gonna catch Maiden at the O2???
Yep, definitely. Want to see this tour quite badly - despite seeing most of the songs in 2008 anyway. But I can't turn down seeing SSOASS and Afraid To Shoot Strangers. Still rank them as my favourite band along with GN'R. So glad Download wasn't their only gig. I have no interest in festivals.
I've read rumours on the maidenfans.com board that there's a second 02 date tentatively booked, which i'd consider going to as well.
Yea, second date is very likely. Would be cool to meet up
This could indeed be aranged

Black Leather is my favourite from TSI? Criminally underrated.

I look forward to Powerage5's comments here.
Anyway, correct answer is Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. Followed by Brave New World.

Now now, Halo is fun and should still be included.

A lot of hate for the UYI albums around here lately it seems.
So I pose the question, taken as a whole, would you argue that the UYI albums considered as one big album (which they basically are) is better than the mighty AFD?
I favour AFD over any individual album, but when UYI is taken as a whole I'm more inclined towards that.
Not an original thread but fuck it, i'm bored.

New Rose got me into the Damned, who soon became one of my favourite bands. Seem them 6 times live since 2006, thanks to GN'R
-
Live versions of CD and WTTJ - plus Nightrain and Paradise City from Rock AM Ring 2006
-
I hear a letter from GN'R's management confirming the instrumental is fake comes with the beach towel.
Is it a Coincidence that we Got Leaks Right After Pittman's Comments...
