  1. A GIBSON Lp or a Firebird go for more than 400 Euros man...If what you want is a nice guitar and don't care about the logo on the Headstock, get yourself a Custom made from a nearby luthier. But if you do care about the logo on the headstock, maybe your best shot is a used Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster, or even a fixed Epi...

If you decide to get a Custom made, make sure you:

1- See the woods that you pay for and make sure they are the ones you agreed on

    Nice Neck wood page

2- Make sure the luthier is the best around, don't take anybody whose been workin on this under 10 years or that gives no garauntee.

3- Find specifically the sound you like, Research your favourite guitar players and what they use (Not brand but pickups, bridges, etc...) and then assemble your guitar, obviusly with the help of the Luthier.

4- Keep a close watch at the Luthiers work and make sure you point out ANYTHING you dont like

5- Finally, a personal recomendation, design a special painting for the guitar ...to make it a little more unique, to do this you must ask the luthier first to build the body of the guitar and hand it over to you while he works on the other things or meanwhile you get the money to pay for the pickups (sometimes you'll get the guitar by parts untill you finish getting the money to pay for all parts) and paint it, or if youre no good at painting ask a friend to design something for it or paint it for you, trust me, if you want the chicks to go crazy for your guitar, its not the logo on it but how it looks you should be worried about, and getting it a special custom made painting drives them nuts. Check out Clapton's Cream SG or Hendrix's Flying V for some "inspiration"...I Myself am painting my Custom Telly exactly like Page's Dragon Telecaster and its looking awesome.

  2. I think Catcher is a great tune, im glad its gonna be on the album, it has some sort of, late UYI II sound to it. Im suprised to see how many people don't like Catcher and like TWAT, when i thought TWAT was the only demo that wasn't worth the while, well everyone has his own opinion...

  3. i will never pay more than 70 bucks to see a band live...never...maybe if bonzo came back and join zeppelin i would, or if hendrix rose from his grave, but no bono, townsend or jagger is gonna make me pay a price they don't deserve, specially if that asshole of bono is saving starvin children through things that don't cost him shit and then sues a stylist for takin 1 of his freakin hats...man i hate bono....

  4. Well...musically, the song is shit. The intro riff has some credibility but imediatley losses all power when the singing starts, the bass is old and boring, the drums are somewhat acceptable and the singing is crap, come one anyone can imitate a scrapy one toned voice and sing like a depressed person. And lirically, come on, give me a break...this is no Pink Floyd kind of poetry or anything, its just random shit thrown around, anyone whose on crack and juana can write that kind of senseless gibberish. Seriously, I think teens adopted the song just to rebel, its like when you want to go the other way even if you know its the other way yo got to go only because all the other guys are going that way. Its boring people, face it, its one of those songs you can listen to for a few times and then throw in the trash can.

  5. All the members are important to the Band...what would "immigrant Song" be without Plant's hell scream at the beggining? what would "Ramble On" be without John Paul Jone's bass? What would "Good Times Bad Times" be without Bonzo's drummin? What would "Rock N Roll" be without Jimmy Page? Please, there are no important people in the band, they have equal importance in the bands chemistry, thats why it wouldn't hav worken out without Bonzo...

And to the person who said Plant has no vocal range...you're jokin right? just listen to "Since I've Been Lovin You"...

  6. No Slash. No GNR. I support Axl's solo band they were great in NYC but still not GNR. Thats like the Rolling Stones without Keith Richards. SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH

i just laughed when i saw this, im not saying its stupid it just remembered me of the old mygnr days when every thread would have to do with this :P

  7. Great Band, though Jimmy Page is somewhat of a thief, they DID steel some riffs and lyrics and never credited their real composers, but they still have great tunes, actually they are my favourite band. If you're getting started on them, start from the beginning, buy Zeppelin 1, then 2, 3 and so forth. Zeppelin 1 has some awesome songs and it does have Slash's favourite Zep tune which is "Your Time Is Gonna Come" which is fuckin cosmic.

  8. Oh so the guitar is Brian's work? i thought this was just a rumour, but yes i do love the guitar work on the song, catchy tune, i could do without the "na na na na na"s but whatever you know, its still a great song and the bluesy style soloes are great

  9. looks wierd...i think aging should not be intentional or "professionally" done, its just not right, aging is the natural process of the guitar getting old and having scars, its like its stories and way it lived....if you want a nice age just buy a guitar without nitrocelluloce finish and if you hang on to it for like 5-10 years it should have a beatiuful age, plus, every scar it has will mean something, truyly mean something, not just esthetics...jmho btw

The fuck are you talking about

You're sounding like the biggest guitarfag ever.

I burned my guitar, Volitan. ;)

wow...biggest guitarfag ever? i know your offended because i partly degraded your guitar, but thats no way of reacting, you can do whatever you like with your guitar man, everyone has his/her own tastes, but that doesn't mean you can't respect others peopls opinion, that specifically why i put "jmho" at the last...

  10. looks wierd...i think aging should not be intentional or "professionally" done, its just not right, aging is the natural process of the guitar getting old and having scars, its like its stories and way it lived....if you want a nice age just buy a guitar without nitrocelluloce finish and if you hang on to it for like 5-10 years it should have a beatiuful age, plus, every scar it has will mean something, truyly mean something, not just esthetics...jmho btw

  11. Desolation Row is a great song, its really hard to untangle the meaning of it but i think it refers to depression and corruption, everybody no matter who or what has been to desolation row...

and why does everybody bitch about dylans all along the watchtower interpretation? i think its great
