Going Down with Axl Rose on lead vocals. I hope that exists somewhere.

I do hear the argument that it would be nuts to release a GNR song without Axl on lead vocals, but if Going Down was appropriate enough for Chinese and had Tommy on vocals, I wouldn’t have minded too much, especially if it replaced Scraped!

Paul would have received royalties from the sale of Shadow of Your Love, I'd be curious to know if Slash actually knew that. He was in a bad place in his life when Guns went pear shaped, so maybe just overreacted due to Axl going over the rest of the guys by bringing Paul into the fold, with Paul getting the brunt of it. They made out as if he never had the chops to be in Guns, but his work is all over Chinese and is one of the key people that helped bring that project on.

I'm hopeful that at least this time, his words carry more weight. I'm keeping the faith.

Day 4:

Totally outclassed tonight by Salzburg. They've walked this group stage and tonight was no different. Celtic were on the backfoot the majority of the game and just made howling mistakes time and time again. However, 86th minute in the Leipzig game and Rosenberg equalised to get their first point of the group, thus meaning we go through. What a crazy night. Major investment is needed, though I wont hold my breath. Hopefully the board see what a gulf in class there is between us and other European opposition at this level. We've got all the other big sides coming down from the CL group stage, so it could get a bit more embarrassing unless these tight cunts invest.

I can’t imagine Axl singing that tune, though he’ll be using his lower range I reckon, similar to Bolan’s.

Anything new, I’ll be unbelievably happy. I’m just hoping that it’s not another few years for a full album.

You've listed The Beatles boxset as one of your favourite releases, Steve covers 'I Need You' on the album. It's different to the album version from Help, but I think he done a great job. He said he contacted George's wife for permission and let her hear it and she loved it. I'm not the biggest Journey fan, but the man has an incredible voice and it's great seeing him active again. There's some songs on the album that I could be doing without but all in all, it's a great record. When you get round to listening to it, let me know what you think!
