Day 30
I was just on about that to my friend the other day. I was baffled that Rockwell’s brother is the fella with the Afro from LMFAO of Party Rock Anthem Fame. Useless information I know 😂😂😂

I'm very optimistic about the future as I've mentioned previously in similar topics, but I just sincerely hope Axl knocks it out of the fucking park and proves his doubters wrong. I very much believe he got his mojo back in regards to his creative output once that curly headed cunt in the top hat got himself back involved.
God bless Duff McKagan

Corey Feldman has come out in defence for Jackson and called it one-sided.
https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/05/entertainment/corey-feldman-michael-jackson/index.html
I just got done watching the first episode and it was quite sickening hearing the detail that they go into. I don't think Jackson sexually assaulted any children though certainly was an odd individual in the ways he chose to live his life. I'm interested to see if MJ's nephew will go ahead with the supposed response documentary he's trying to crowd fund.

I just don't understand how Rose could look at Gilby who had ''Cure Me'' and ''Tijuana Jail'' - both great rockers - and go, ''I don't really want to write with this guy'', then look at Tobias and go, ''yip, he is my guy''.
If I recall correctly, Axl wasn't the only member who commented on Gilby's role within the band and in the long run I'd imagine that Axl, Slash and Duff would have been hoping for Izzy to come back in some capacity - hence the failed 94-96 sessions.
Tobias wasn't all that bad either. He wrote some great tunes for Guns, an integral part of Chinese Democracy and even had Slash and Duff make some money off of his work after releasing Shadow of Your Love.

I much prefer this to the re-release that made the charts.

Maybe it was the disaster Glasgow show Matt is referring to at 1:55:
That’s pretty cool, thanks for the share. I’d never seen or known that before. I’ll be sure to ask if it was that show that the incident happened!

My friend seen Slash with VR in Glasgow in 2007 I’m sure. There was about 20 people outside after the show and when Slash came out, he got escorted straight to his car and only acknowledged the fans by flipping the bird when he got into the vehicle. Charming.
He met Axl after the GNR show in 06 though and had more success, despite waiting outside his hotel til 5am where he was getting pampered apparently!

I've always enjoyed their covers, though it's been a bit overkill the last few years. I still think Sailing is the best they ever did though. Finck's playing and Axl's voice were just absolutely out of this world from the London show. I'd love to think they recorded that in the studio but I highly doubt it, unfortunately.

The shirt material is very thin. I doubt it would stand up to a lot of wear and tear or wash cycles. I never planned on wearing it anyway; I just wanted to hang it on my wall of GNR concert shirts. The shirt is a "Gildan", made in Bangladesh, and has a tag, unlike the newer official shirts that just have tag info printed on.
The front graphic is OK at best.
Maybe from a distance you can fool someone but once you get up close the details are fuzzy, and it's clear this thing is home-made. The reds, oranges and greens aren't terrible really. The whites are bad though...very faint and you can see the black bleeding through. I'm comparing it to pics of the real thing now, and all the lettering looks like a slightly different font, but there's not typos. Even says "GUNS N ROSES" without the apostrophe just like the original.
Colors look way way muted compared to the real one though. Also, the Chinese characters in the corner are completely gone. Best I can tell, the image is centered nicely and it isn't warped. Meaning, the border lines all look straight.
OK.....here's the best part....the reverse. The font looks just about right, but it's washed out as hell. The original shirt had vivid red and white letters...this one looks like it's been washed about a hundred times. But yeah....check this shit out....I'll let the picture do the talking:
Isn't that shit hilarious???
Bottom line....it was worth it to me. I KNEW it was a fake. If I didn't know, I'd be pissed, but come on. At this low price anyone that thinks they're getting a genuine 01-01-01 is an idiot. Mine shipped from Indonesia to Japan in less than a week, no problems at all, packed nicely. If you have ever wanted the shirt, I say go for it. Better to have a funny facsimile than nothing at all. Although I certainly can't guarantee it won't dissolve if you wear it in the rain.
Here's some comparisons to genuine shirts....first is the "gas mask" CD 2002 North America shirt, front and back.
And here it is next to my Tokyo up close and personal shirt:
And why not? Here it is with the Tokyo NITL shirts.
I don't know how evident it is in the pics, but it's VERY washed out and muted next to these other shirts that have never been worn. Kind of a bummer to put such a dull shirt next to the other vibrant ones, but hey, you get what you pay for!
(I still want a real one....preferably with sleeves, unlike the last one I saw on ebay. Just imagine having one of the coolest concert shirts of all time and you cut the sleeves off so you can wear it while working on your Chevy sipping beer out of a coozie. What a fucking disgrace.)
Genuinely can't believe it.
CDII starts now Brilliant. Thanks for the share! Will look forward to seeing it when it eventually arrives

Man, I'm only up to 'Sweet Child' and even with the poor video quality, I absolutely love this show!
Seeing it for the first time was one of the best moments I've had as a fan of Guns N' Roses, as ridiculous that might be to some people.
You'll love Patience and the build up to it.

That is unfortunate. I risked it and just bought it too. Maybe it's possible to get it made elsewhere? The graphic on the front doesn't look as big as it is on the original going by the pictures.

I picked up the recently surfaced bootleg of The Who live at Celtic Park in 1976.
Roger's voice was in unbelievable form.

Exactly. Guys like Brian Johnson and Axl truly are gifted. To have the stamina and power to be able to blow it out for 2 or 3 hours is amazing. I know Axl gets criticized sometimes for how he sounds live but he has never just lost his voice while performing. Although he probably has done some damage from years of wear and tear.
Jonner doesn’t get the credit he deserves. What a fucking voice.
Axl Rose and Brian Johnson are two of the greatest voices to have ever graced a stage in my very biased opinion 😂😂😂
