  1. Re-Watched Repo! and Hard Candy.

I can't decide who I loved more ASH or Bill Mosley.

Hard Candy was a crazy flick. I went into that movie knowing nothing about the plot and ended up with a "W T F" look on my face throughout the entirety of it.

Watched Donnie Brasco and Pineapple Express this week.

    Donnie Brasco blew my mind!

Donnie Brasco is amazing! Johnny Depp is brilliant. I can't wait to see Public Enemies. I'm curious to see what he does wit the Mad Hatter in the Alice remake. That's supposed to be in 3D, I believe. Pineapple Express was hilarious. Have you seen Zack and Miri Make a Porno? :rofl-lol: So funny. There's a lot of awkward in the movie though.

The Tim Burton/Johnny Depp combo is getting a little stale though. I don't think they'll ever top Edward Scissorhands. and what's with Burton doing nothing but remakes these days? He used to be one of the most original directors around but somewhere down the pike he just decided to spend a whole decade doing nothing but remaking stuff or adapting children's classics.

I respectfully disagree. Burton/Depp are a classic pairing and make excellent films together. I actually like Sweeney better than Edward Scissorhands.

  3. Watched:

Enchanted - was really cute, i totally dug it :):):):)

What Happened To Jack Kerouac - not really a movie i suppose, more a documentry. Very interesting though but then Kerouacs a hero of mine.

Enchanted is the one with the singing, right? Can't handle that. I thought there was a Jack Kerouac documentary with Johnny Depp that I watched awhile ago. Don't remember the name of it though.

Enchanted is that disney fairytaley thingie yeah, i thought it was sweet. Kerouac documentry with Johnny Depp? Hmmmm, dont think i've seen that one, sure you're not mistaking Kerouac with the good Dr Hunter S Thompson?

I was partly right, it was on Allen Ginsberg actually (and had stuff in there on Jack Kerouac) and Johnny was one of the narrators I believe. Haven't watched it for awhile, but if I remember correctly, it was quite good.

  5. When I saw Michael Clayton, there was a good deal of snickering at things that clearly weren't meant to be amusing (and not just by me). Everyone I spoke to thought it was total misfire. The critical reception was decidedly mixed. Then a few months later, out of pretty much nowhere, it developed this rep as one of the strongest films of the year. :shrugs:

I was just glad I didn't see it in the theater. It was on HBO and I forced my roommate to watch it with me. Tilda Swinton was okay, but George Clooney's performance reminded me of his Batman performance.

  6. It was a bit messy but it had all these great parts.

Sort of like Smokin' Aces, no cinematic masterpiece, but watch evertime it's on Cinemax.

It must be an Ari Gold thing.

I was disappointed in Smokin' Aces. I really thought it would be better. On a side note: Can't wait for Entourage to come back. :D

It was garbage. I expected better from Joe Carnahan who was following up his fantastic film "Narc"....oh well, even good directors make duds now and then.

It was one of those where I just kept waiting for it to get better; sort of like Michael Clayton, which I thought sucked beyond suck.

  8. Anyone ever seen a film with Christian Slater called Pump up the Volume? Really good Gen X flick.

It's a classic. I know it's hard to imagine but during that time, Christian Slater was phenomenally popular with the youth.

He was great in Heathers. Isn't he doing some TV show now?

  9. Rocky Horror Picture Show?

You know, I've never seen that.

:o You have to see that! It's not possible for anyone remotely cool not to love it.

Hmm, guess I'm not remotely cool then. I'll go impale myself on something sharp and pointy.

 You're very cool, that's why I assume you'd like it.

Damn, I'd already picked out my sharp and pointy too.

  11. Like they talk about their feelings and the plot twist comes way too early.
How do you guys feel about musicals? Normally I don't like them, but I loved Sweeney Todd. I want to see Rent too. I like Jesse Martin.

i bought that a few months ago, not knowing it was a musical..silly me, i cant deal with musicals...so i turned it off 20 minutes in...i will give itago one day though

 Same here. I hate them. Haven't watched Sweeney Todd though.

You should watch it! It's the only musical so far I can stand. It's not a typical happy-go-lucky musical. People die. :P

  13. Just watched Gran Torino. What a great film, I'm definitely buying it when it's out on DVD.

I really want to see that.

I'm going to see Bride Wars this weekend. It looks cute, and I really like Anne Hathaway.

  14. I watched Domestic Disturbance last night, Vince Vaughan was very sinister and John Travolta looked cheerful the entire film despite the storyline. I felt bad for Steve Buscemi too, damn furness. I also watched Employee of the Month, is Dane Cook one of the people of the moment right now, like Seth Rogen and those people; comedies are different now aren't they.

The only difference is Rogen's movies are funny, and Cook's aren't.

I like his stand-up. I've only seen one of his movies and I wasn't impressed.

Seth Rogen is quite hilarious though. I loved Pineapple Express.

  15. No Doubt formed in 1986

John Spence, the original lead singer, killed himself :(

Gwen Stefani used to check into hotels under the name Daria Blue

    Your turn.

The group "Ween" came up with they're name using a combination of the words Weiner and Penis.

Is that a pic of Jenna jameson in your avator?

    Yes. :P
