What are some bands that experienced some level of popularity in the 80s or 90s that are now reduced to playing clubs or state/county fairs?
slash
Shut up.

I think it is indeed a very bleak situation. As I said before, normal bands with normal members release new material every 2.5 or 3 years. With Axl, we might as well close these forums and come back in 2020 to talk about the new album
I'm also a Megadeth forums member and I regularly post in the Iron Maiden forums as well. And I gotta tell you, GnR is the laughing stock over there
The official Megadeth forum is a joke. I got banned twice for seemingly no reason.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Who would have thought that the crowd that frequents an internet forum would have so little to be proud of?

I wouldn't pay to see the Black Album set.
i wouldnt either lol
I'd be so incredibly pissed if I paid for their absurdly overpriced tickets and had to sit through the Black Album.

One thing I think is funny is that every interview you watch with Slash from 91-93 (or atleast the ones I have seen) he never says it's Axl's foult that they go on late he always said it was the whole band that was getting in the mood and the right head space to go on. But after 93 in every interview he says it's all Axl's foult and that they where always waiting for him and that they where always ready to go on.
You ever think that maybe at the time he wanted to have his band mate's back, but later decided he didn't give a shit anymore and said things closer to the truth?

Pretty obvious what this thread was intended to do
This thread was intended to express my love and passion for Izzy and Axl. I'm not sure what you mean.
Funny you should mention the HOF ceremony then. Neither one showed up to it. I did see Axl and Izzy playing with a bunch of fruity looking people recently though.

I've been to a few Megadeth shows and thought Dave sounded just fine, but if you watch ANY of their youtube videos he sounds like absolute shit. So I'd say that people at the show really don't know what's going on.
-
I see your angle, but it's horribly implausible. None of the former members are going to be willing to go against Axl's team of lawyers to force the release of a record that's not going to make much money anyways.

Way more than what should ever be charged for a glorified cover band.

Pathetic fucking loser.

I still think that this is pretty good proof that those 4 seconds of lyrics could easily be fabricated. Tupac has been dead for 15 years and they managed to get him to do this entire performance. It isn't cut and pasted from somewhere else either, they fabricated it entirely. The technology exists. Also, Axl only doing 4 seconds of lyrics over a cut up version of his own song just screams fake. If this isn't fake and was intended for release, then Axl should really just hang it up now.

the last one powerage might kill me but im sorry this cd sucks lol
Yoi think Dm is a piece of shit?
yes death magnetic is garbage IMO i was trying to find the video where kerry king was reviewing it says "nice attempt" and chucks it that is about how i felt about it
Kerry Kings a moronic fucktard though.
No he's not. HEIL KERRY!
Well what are the shit albums in your collection that you wish you never bought?
I was being sarcastic and poking fun at Kerry King for the stupid fascination he has with nazis. I don't have any shit albums I regret buying though because I only buy the ones I like after thoroughly trying them out online first.

I fucking hate the 90s, and alternative music for the most part. I like my music hard and fast, so the 80s were the best.

But 3 hour shows!

I'd say that's right. The one thing that might get Axl in the same room as Slash didn't pan out. Neither is going to reach out to the other, so that's the end of any legitimate hope for a reunion.

I don't know how capable he is today, but back on the first 4 albums Bill was definitely largely instrumental to their sound.

Browsing this forum is a weird experience sometimes. The one and only place where people will say a song off of CD is their favorite GNR song.
-
You gotta admire his spirit.
Well he's half right. There will be new music played tomorrow. As for the album announcement, idk.
Your constant assurance of new songs is a large part of why so many come to shit all over the update threads. There won't be anything new anytime remotely soon.

Obviously have differing opinions since you aren't exactly a fan of their debut, but I think Ride the Lightning is better by far. Master seems unnecessarily long and really drags on, made very apparent by the lack of any solos or riffs that match up to those found on RTL (or even Kill em All, imo). The title track and album are probably the two most grossly overrated things in metal. Definitely not even close to being the end all, be all of metal albums like many hail it to be. I've never understood the hype, especially when Ride the Lightning came first.
-
I don't understand the lack of love for the album. The only low point for me is Four Horsemen, which they definitely should have left as The Mechanix (one badass song). If Dave were on it then it probably would undeniably be their best work besides RTL.

Geezer has come out and said that Bill's people were being ridiculous with their requests.
Best and Worst GN'R cover songs?

I fucking hate the UYI Knockin' on Heaven's Door, especially live. That and Sympathy for the Devil are just painful to listen to. Down on the Farm, Mama Kin, and Whole Lotta Rosie are great though.
